    I had my tonsils taken out twice. Second time they dug out loads of tissue from the back of my throat to stop a regrowth. It really opened out my sound. Made a weird difference to my tone.

      @@CameronJay Not really. It just sounded bigger and I think my pitch dropped a bit too.

      @@GordonHudson interesting. My tuning on the sharp top staff A is way more controllable when I use a relaxed, open throat.

      @@CameronJay That might be why I don't have to use much slide extension for A either.
