I know rules are rules, but that is so unfair about Jamie. She is such a loving person and Aurora was not removed due to any form of mistreatment or neglect. Just feeling a dose of indignation that you guys even needed to deal with that. I know it’s a slippery slope but there ought to be room for exceptions. Anyone who spent any amount of time with Jamie would know that she is no threat and needs the support that she receives from being part of your household. You guys are amazing and I can’t wait to watch this new house transformation.

If you think about it, your new house will be like a Christmas gift to you and your family, and that is so special. Aaron and Hallie are right, one Christmas tree in the middle of your stairways/living room would be just right. You will still feel the Christmas vibes with your family, but prioritising is what's needed right now. It's a small "sacrifice" for your dreams to start! If you are worried about not feeling the Christmas spirit, I suggest taking the kids on a drive to see Christmas lights; feeding the reindeer; going ice skating; set up a Christmas movie night in your living room and have hot chocolates; going to Christmas markets etc. Christmas is all around you. Right now, focus on packing everything up slowly to help avoid last-minute stress. You've got this, Crystal and Aaron! 💖 Good luck with your move 🍀

❤ I could not agree more. One Christmas tree in the middle of the foyer will be plenty. And think of all the beautiful memories you will be able to make next year in your new home. I vote for a big Thanksgiving blowout and a small family get together for Christmas in the midst of all of your packing, maybe Shelly could host this year? You are going to overstretch yourself to the point that you won’t be able to enjoy the holidays whatsoever. Just remember the past is the past and you have beautiful memories there. But the present is a gift. The reason for the season is Jesus and he would not want you to be stressed, anxious, and upset. We were a military family and our last move was in Dec and we moved into our house Dec 23rd. We managed to put up one tree so our kids were happy with that and we left it up a little longer than usual. You can do it!
Crystal , When my dad was terminally ill, it was August. We decorated and had the best Christmas ever! It's not about the material things. It's about love and being together!

This was one of your best vlogs ever. Crystal and Aaron y’all have the best hearts. Helping these kids is your legacy. The best legacy ever. I’ve always thought y’all should buy a hotel to put your family in so everyone can have their own room and bathroom. Being able to build something for the older kids to live in will be amazing!!!!!! It may not be your tomorrow dream home but it can be your make do make our dreams come true home. Congratulations. Start packing things you don’t need now.
I think those caseworkers forget that with the learning difficulties Jamie has, someone must've taken absolutely advantage of her for her to become pregnant. She's a beautiful soul but it's clear she'll need support long term - how does this not come into it? Love you guys, you stand for so much good and bring so much joy to so many people ❤
Regulations and rules are always good to know beforehand.❤ I have a family member who bought property, didn't realize the back acreage could not be disturbed due to protected wet lands, another wasn't allowed to sub divide the acreage.

This is so cool! I love your dream and ideas to get there. I’ve actually recently seen a family on TikTok that has multiple houses on one large property. It has mum and dad’s house, and each of their kids families each have a house. Then they have a communal area in the middle with bbq, pool, covered areas and they take turns each Sunday for family dinners.

If you get enough land you can add tiny houses for you kids to live in and have a family compound. And do homestead garden.
That’s what they’re planning.
They need to make a better word for properties like that. Compound makes me think of a prison or some kindo of military place😂

Have Aaron give a blessing on the house for any bad spirits to get out. We have don't that many times as we moved around a lot. It does help.
Made my heart break for Jamie, how dare the state say that about her... She is an amazing person and what she and Melinda did for aurora, giving her to you was amazing. I'm shocked to be honest...
I can. I’ve worked in a few jobs where I was a mandatory reporter. And there have been times when I’ve reported families that were genuinely abusive to their kids and nothing happened. I’ve also seen families get reported for something super tiny like kids being kids and having bruises from playing sports or just playing with their siblings and they get taken away. To say that I have a love/hate relationship with social services is an understatement.
It is stupid cps they believe people calls on someone is good person s don't do nothing wrong kids are going a bruise special playing sibin play little rough dong mean do but the love their siblings so much

My dream is to find a large piece of property in the middle of nowhere and give each of my kids their own piece of land. They can build on it and live there or just keep it as a vacation home. But that way we all be together. Have a big garden. A big play area for the kids ect…
My husband and I would live on it all the time. What would be awesome is to have our own little lake on it so we could fish whenever we wanted to without going very far.

That’s amazing. Our extended family always talked about a family land however, never happened and my aunt had a stroke a couple months back and boy how I wish we could have done something like that so I could help. Thank you for sharing your dreams and goals with all of us!

I know Aaron said on a Beyond Crazy vlog that he wanted to replace all the flooring. I suggest renting an airbnb, decorating for the holidays and get a contractor to do the floors so it doesn't upset the flow. Move in afterwards.

Omg I am sobbing, I just love you guys. I was a single mom and we still live in the same apartment I moved into 20 years ago. It is home. I raised my son to understand a home are the people in it not the walls that surround us. My heart is so full for you, and of course your kids❤
That is really horrible for anyone to think that of Jamie.. I feel as though Jamie gets unrecognized and validated for the things she can do, and for the kindest person she is... To push her aside like that is incredibly wrong... Thats just messed up... Jamie you are amazing, kind, beautiful, and deserve so much more..
It’s not just her though. They do it to all adult children still living in a home that’s fostering. There’s another creator I forgot his name that I kinda follow and they lost a foster child because he had 2 adult adopted kids still living with him and they hadn’t had a background check but once that happened he got the child back. It’s sad but it’s what they do

If you set up the trees use pipe cleaners to attach the Christmas ornaments to the trees then when you move plastic wrap the tree and then unwrap at new house and it should all still be in place. Be careful when unwrapping just to be safe so none of the ornaments break.
It will seem overwhelming but you are such a wonderful family and as long as you are together you will feel the love and Joy. Christmas is Christ and Family. I know that you will embrace the joy and all that it means. If you need any support or help I would love to do that for your family. Giving is the best reason for life.❤️

I was my parents first foster/adopted child and they fostered 41 other kids that were all disabled. My parents had the same goals and wanting to leave a legacy of helping others and they continue to do so till this day and they’re both in their 80s. I love watching your family because my husband and I are both adopted and we plan on adopting children in the future And also continuing that legacy.

I just bought my first house and it closes December 17, it’s gonna be stressful but I’m so excited and my Christmas decor will just be enjoyed in January too because why not? All the best in the home buying process

Hearing your goals and dreams for the future made me so extremely proud to be a supporter of your family. I have always wanted to do what you do, however I have recently been diagnosed autistic and adhd and I have chronic health issues + a brain injury from childhood. If I am not able to help out children like you and the crazy middles, I am more than happy to be able to live my dreams vicariously through you and your amazing family ❤❤❤ love you guys!
Buy stuff like christmas blankets and pack a few bins ready to go and day of moving let the kids decorate while everything else is being unpacked. Good luck on the move!

It’s so easy on the outside looking in to think why would they sell such a beautiful home, that does have so much room, even though we know ew you wanted something more for Jamie. While having to wait to make the house and land livable is a pain, you can make it look and feel the way you want it. I always look at the potential of a house. In the long run, you’ll all be so much happier.

You should set up the big tree between the stair cases. Then maybe leave it for the new owners if they want it. Just to give them some Christmas cheer since they are also moving right before Christmas. Just a thought.

I understand your dreams and goals, but saying you are worried about material things goes against a lot of what you are always doing, shopping, going out to eat, trips.. take a step back and truly evaluate what you really want and you will see you don’t need to always be buying stuff. Having enough room for my grown adult children (an their newly established families) to be able to always come home and have a bit of privacy. Don’t stress about Christmas, just do one big tree and maybe small ones in the bedrooms. Also, please be careful about what you say, the children hearing you say bad things about the house that he likes (especially being hunted) that might start creating fear on the children. I know I would be terrified to move anywhere that my parents say it’s hunted!! Just trust the process!😊

There is a lot to pack for the move. Don't make it harder by using that time to decorate only to need to take it all back down. Just my thought.

Y'all could start packing up things that aren't being used, so it's not a lot to do the week y'all move and it's Christmas, too. Also, y'all have time to go through things that are old, be able to donate and not move things that take up clutter to the new home.
That’s what I’ve been doing and I’m moving into my sister’s (she’s moving to another state and wants to come back to visit once a month but she doesn’t want to continue to pay for 2 houses (the one I’m in is my dad’s house that he allowed me to live in after he passed, and he has a trust that we use to help pay for the big bills (I’m disabled), and she doesn’t want to come back to stay at my dad’s bc she would have to stay in my dad’s room, and I get it, it’s hard)
We moved December 17th in Iowa. We did have a house to go to, but it was CRAZY. A few days later, we had a blizzard. A few days after Christmas, we had a previously scheduled long vacation. I didn't get a little settled until February!
One Christmas we had no electricity, lived in the country, and it happened once in awhile. Another time my stepdad was in the hospital, so we ate at a coffee shop. It’s not about the glitz, it’s about celebrating the birth of our savior. And you just have to roll with it. Do you think the kids will be traumatized? They’ll just remember the adventure. And learning how to deal with disappointment. Your positivity is a life lesson as well. ❤❤

You guys are awesome, love your goals! I’ve never really had goals in my life and I’m 39. I have no confidence in myself, so to commit to a goal would be a losing fight in my eyes. I’m trying hard to see it differently but man it’s hard for me. Proud of you guys for always committing! Just know you are doing an awesome job with everything!

Organization and labeling are imperative to a very smooth move. The expense of professional movers is well worth the cost, but family and friends are a godsend! In the meantime, you can bring all your Christmas decor to your current home and put all other unneeded items in the empty storage unit. I hope you can close on your new home before the one you are living in!
Make sure solicitor checks all the ins & outs of what can /can't be built on the land, in the area, so you can build your dream place ❤

You could add tiny houses to the yard for your kids. Tumbleweed tiny houses are very cute and would be perfect for Jamie!

I love your channel, I was adopted at birth. I have moved a lot, which apparently I love 😊, but the best homes were those we made our own. They were never the ones that were huge perfect in every single way. Aaron’s house may not look exactly like what you want Crystal but it sounds like it will become the Pettit Family home once you make it yours. Decorate for Christmas how ever you want, just make sure to start packing the rest of the house now so moving at Christmas won’t be as hard. Start buying the boxes and labeling everything. Label what room they are going into and basically what is in it. That makes the transition a bit smoother when you can find what you need. I hope your offer is accepted and wish you all the best. ❤
