For anybody wondering why the bird sculpture only has one wing, this depicts the story of the demigod Jatayu. When the demon king Ravana abducted Lord Ram's wife Sita to Sri Lanka, Jatayu tried to stop him, but was defeated by Ravana, who cut off his wing and left him to die.

As the legend goes: After Ravan abducted Sita, Jatayu the bird tried to save her. Ravan slashed one of jatayu's wings and the place where the statue is the place where he fell to the ground.

As a person who went to Jatayu earth centre during my school trip since it's pretty near, I was so stunned by its beauty. Although there are a few expensive stuff in that place, there is also many stuff you can do when your sightseeing for example there is a arcade, hotel and many more.

What a brilliant video format! Daily Dose’s format is so simple yet well crafted! Videos are kept short, viewers aren’t forced to watch ads, the first video is always the one in the title so you aren’t forced to see the whole video (even though I always watch the whole thing), interesting clips that are kept to the point, and even the ”filler” stuff is wonderful, cute animals. The occasional accident videos are interesting and all that I have seen never include anyone dying or being seriously hurt. Absolutely beautifully compiled quality content, video after video. And, as a cherry on top, he includes those quick clips he has filmed himself. 👍🏻

Those who want to know what that sculpture actually means:
It tells the story of an ancient Indian mythology (Ramayana), where Ravana (antagonist) captures Sita, the wife of Rama (protagonist). This bird, Jatayu, son of Aruna (sun god) and nephew of Garuda, king of birds, fought and tried to stop Ravana from capturing Sita and taking her away to Lanka (currently Sri Lanka). But Ravana clipped his wings out and injured him. The sculpture represents his state when he strikes the ground, unable to move. It is also said that Jatayu felt at the exact same spot where that sculpture is present.
of course Hindus/Indians can't get over their superiority complexes of how the world,the planet,the sun and the stars don't and never have revolved around India or hinduism. An argument can be made that this statue is more *BEAUTIFUL* cheap and attractive than the 3 Billion rupee crap of a statue made by the fascist Indian govt

That statue is from a legend Ramayana in Ramayana when Ravan kidnaps Ram's whife and when jadaiyu tries to save seatha(Ram's whife), Ravan cuts jadaiyus wings and he falls to ground , the sculpture is about jadaiyu after falling to ground

When i saw this was 2 years old i was blown away!
Well, Jatayu is written on it which explains why the bird isnt standing. In the ramayana, jatayu helped rama find Sita. In the act of fighting Raavana he died, and this statue was built in his believed deathplace.

I’m indian. If anybody hasn’t noticed, one wing of the bird is cut off. This is because this statue is made after a bird called ‘Jatayu’ (as seen in the statue). He was an important part in one of our ancient epics called the Ramayana. To cut it reeeeeally short, the to-be king Rama, who was exiled from his kingdom because of a vow that his dad made (he followed it unquestioningly). He was to be exiled in the forests for 14 years. His brother Lakshmana and wife Sita accompanied him. The demon king Ravana, eying Sita for her beauty, used some tricks to separate Rama and Laksmana from Sita and captured her on his flying chariot. So here comes Jatayu. Seeing Sita being held against her will, tried to stop ravana while in the air. Sadly his wing got cut off by Ravana’s sword. While she was abducted, Sita dropped her jewellery in a trail so Rama could follow. So he followed after some time. Then he came to the spot where Jatayu was lying on the ground, rushed to him and asked about everything. Jatayu told him about where Ravana was taking Sita.(to the city of Lanka) Jatayu played one of the most important roles in the entire story as without him, Rama would not find Sita and rescue her. (This isn’t just A STORY. this is an EPIC, and it’s a fav story for kids during nighttime. I highly suggest anyone pick up any one of the numerous English translations of it. Trust me it’s pretty good)
Oh and Jatayu died after telling Rama about it. His sacrifice will be remembered. RIP
