It was a Barbie washer and dryer that when you pressed the washer these small white beads in the washer would move around. I had written a letter to Santa in school and I got that Christmas and was so excited!!!!!
I was an avid reader. I read Gone With The Wind at age 7. There was a book named Taffy that I loved, I also loved A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. I am still an avid reader to this day.
I ordered a new tree, King of Christmas. We got the queen, flocked slim. This is the most beautiful tree we have ever had. It's been up 3 weeks now. I still need to decorate. But I love it!
We did not have a TV so one year for a family gift ,We got a 12 Inch TV . I am 60 but when I was 10 it was the best present ever. The books I liked Nancy Drew, Hardy Boys, Happy Hollisters and Cherry Ames
Watching the replay. I loved Barbie! I had like a hairsalon and a Barbie boutique. The boutique was amazing. You pushed a button when Barbie entered the shop and it said ‘welcome to Barbie’s boutique in so many languages! 😂 oh I miss childhood!
Your card is beautiful that bubblegum pink embossing powder made it extra special. The biggest Christmas present I wished for a kid was a Cabbage Patch Doll, and I remember reading the Boxcar Children and the Babysitter's Club books fond memories. I typically but our Christmas tree up halfway through November, especially since Thanksgiving is later this year.
I am older so I read The Black Stallion series by Walter Farley as young middle schooler in the 50's. The Babysitters club books I borrowed from my children and lots more too.
I love the card. It is so pretty, but it just doesn't remind me of Christmas in those colors. I know the pinks are a popular alternative for those who don't want traditional colors, but I'm old fashioned. Love your sweater! My best gift ever for Christmas ever was a Madame Alexander doll named Kitten. Unlike her other dolls, this one was the size of a real 6 month old baby. My mom gave me some of my baby clothes for her. That year I almost asked for a bike but decided on the doll. Glad I did, I got the chickenpox on Christmas Eve and no one could come for dinner. I really hugged that doll. I still have her, I'm 71, and she is dressed in my daughter's christening gown.
Cabbage Patch when they were so wild and crazy. Somehow Santa brought me two. And my mom made all the cloths for them. Best dressed kids in the neighborhood.
I like to wait for Thanksgiving to be done, then Xmas. I usually go all out decorating. My husband passed away in July this year, so holiday plans are kinda in uncharted territory. My grandson is spatchcocking a turkey, I’m bringing a side his mother is making a couple items, so kind of a family potluck. I do like to have my Xmas shopping done prior to Thanksgiving! I’m happy to say, I’m done. (Unless I make homemade items - like my vanilla!) 🤭
I really love this color combination and it’s one of my favorites. I’m thinking of trying embossing on some patterned paper as well. QUESTION: do you typically not use anti-static powder before embossing? Thanks for sharing the process.
Generally, I do. This time I didn't and I didn't seem to have any issues. But that might be because I wasn't really touching the surface of the cardstock since it was covered with the stencils. (It's generally the oils from our hands that cause the powder to stick).
Beautiful card Kristina! This technique could be used with so many stencils and for many occasions! Just lovely and sparkly! I counted the adds while I watched the replay and there were 22! It’s so frustrating and distracting. I sure wish RUclips never made that change!
My all time favorite Christmas gift was a talking Bugs Bunny. I still have Bugs and he still talks although “ What’s Up Doc “ is a bit garbled now , not too bad since he’s 64 years old😊.
Going back over with a different color was a great call. What a difference it made!

Great card!
Hoping your BLUE nail polish means what I’m thinking it means!!
😉
Love the card. The stencil is interesting with 5, 6, 7, and 8 point images. And little 4-point stars. Loved the colors in the final card.

My favorite Christmas gift was a box of 72 Crayola crayons. They included 8 fluorescent colors.
I also got Donny Osmond album 😂 came with poster and I still have both lol

Hi I enjoyed watching your video I was wondering where did you get that purple thing you rested your stamp pad on?
That's the Pawsitively Everything Tool from Simon Says Stamp. It's listed in the supplies in the video description. :)
Sideways stories from wayside school!!!!
Yes, that's the one! Thank you!
I received a stick of deodorant as a blooming girl.
