I literally didn't think their would ever be a time in my life where I would watch people listen to Wu for the first time.....this shit was part of my introduction to the world of hip hop......and I ain't looked back since!
I grew up on a dirt road out in the country. I'll NEVER forget when the WuTang 36 Chambers tape came in on my neighborhood buddy's Columbia House tape club subscription. It literally changed our rap listening lives forever. I love these reaction videos to music I've known forever. Wu is definitely forever.
I’ve never felt older than I do at this moment lol!! You’ve NEVER heard CREAM??? Stop asking for recommendations and just react to Wu Tang, Tribe Called Quest, Biggie, Nas, Mos Def, Pharcyde, Big L, Mobb Deep. True lyricists the OGs..you’ll be set for the next year! And if you don’t know now you know. But for real..ODB, method man, Raekwon all of them just have amazing flows..❤️🔥🌶☮️
It’s just one of those things where you assume everyone has heard something because of how massive it was at the time and to the movement. But there’s potentially an entire generation that has never heard pivotal monumental songs. It hit me.. I think you would not only enjoy listening to more, but you’ll gain a better appreciation for lyricism, and I’ve really seen you on the lyric path lately. But you won’t want to listen to modern rap anymore! ❤️😂
@@iamangee Oh yes! There are so many greats from that era! We could go on and on! It’d be really cool to see some younger reactors reacting to some classics..❤️
@@rachaelwhite5961 honestly I’ve been trying to get more into the lyrics of rap yk. I listen to music all day everyday, it can be any type of song I try to figure out whats goin on & dissect it as much as I can. Im definitely wanting to get into more older rap songs though for sure
There not 80’s there mid 90’s Rza first album as prince Rakeem came out in the early 90’s that money he got form being signed and then dropped started Wu tang clan. 80’s would BDP, Ultramagnetic Mc’s, Jungle brothers, Public enemy, the Juice crew, Gangstar, EPMD etc. I’m 40 and from the south I was big underground head in the 90’s Wu tang could draw underground heads and mainstream heads which a lot groups in the mid 90’s couldn’t do since the drop of what they called Conscious rappers
"story telling & poetry" nah, the origin is criticism to the system from popular wisdom, street wisdom... life. Things are told in the top but don't make sense in the bottom, that gives rap its original edge. If you take that out, you end up with just drugs and ass. Respectfully
This is how you listen to real hiphop with substance and thats lyrically sharp.. this brothers spot darts. Back in the day,we analyzed, studied and really felt it. You doin it right homey. Do you.
classic joint that speaks on real shit, other songs like that are can it be all so simple, impossible, little ghetto boys, but they got endless dope joints, my favorite group of all time
Need more Wu-Tang my guy. some songs for you, Impossible, Da Mystery of Chessboxin, Protect Ya Neck, Shadowboxin, Glaciers of Ice, Can it be all so simple,
It's really wild to think kids I grew up with we were 16 17 years old in 1993 listening to some real deep rap I feel bad for this generation they don't have nothing like this to broaden and shape their minds to the world
If you like Wu-Tang definitely get their first two albums and all the solo albums that include Supreme Clientele, and everything before that. Then grab Masta Killas solo albums. Then you add: - Killarmys albums - Sunz Of Man albums "First Testament" and "The Last Shall Be FIrst" - Black Castle album by Royal Fam - Wu-Tang Killa Beez vol 1 and 2 (The Sting) - Heavy Mental album by Killah Priest - Heavy Mentwo compilation available on youtube by Killah Priest. - Gravediggaz album If you ask me the above is almost a definitive collection of every great Wu-Tang tracks from the 90s. You will have almost no bad tracks and literally hundreds of awesome wu-tang clan and affiliate tracks on hand. Some random things will be missing like soundtrack and compilation appearances etc, but you cant go wrong with that.
That’s right this your channel you do what you want. This is great your listening to what we grew up on. You don’t just listen and go to the next video you take time and look in to the song. It's crazy you never heard this track bruh. They are the Beatles of Hip Hop, it's almost mandatory to have the clan in your music collection. This was my teenage years.
From the projects of Staten Island, they had the street cred, and their shit was rawer than anything else out there. When they went out they rolled deeeeep.
Growing up a white kid in rural Alberta, Canada Wutang and Busta changed my whole world view. I'm 41 now and this music is therapy for me still. Much love, I've enjoyed your reactions.
What's crackin' fam. You jumping from my favorite artist, to #2 on my list & formally #1, till Em passed them.. (eff u trolls my list,) Wu Tangs forever double lp, had the most spins I my ride prior to mmlp. 🔥 bro. ✌

Wutangs got some hits, solos are fire too, check out "reunited", they got a pretty dope series too "Wu Tang: an American saga". It's sensationalized for TV but it's a good portrayal of their story, definitely worth a watch.
It's crazy, I flashbacked to my youth when I played this video the other day. My 17 year old nephew was with me watching it. He said, "Auntie, that's Method Man from Power, I didn't know he was a rapper!". I almost died lol 😂
also on hulu they have a show about the upcoming of wu tang and the 1st season just finished was definitely a 10/10, just a show recommendation for you

Damn I'm from Staten Island from back in the 60s and 70s so Wu- Tang would like be 10 years under me. I lived in Park Hill when it was supposed to be for doctors and nurses working at Marine hospital. My mom worked Marine hospital My grandma lives in Stapleton projectsI I live in Stapletn the same place the Wu-Tang came from and I lived in the Harbor only people from S.I. would know what's I'm talking about. 🤷🏽🤷🏽🤷🏽🤷🏽🤷🏽
There are five boroughs that make up New York (Manhattan,))( Bronx,) (Queens), (Staten Island) and (Brooklyn) Staten Island was considered the forgotten the forgotten borough because know one heard because nobody heard of bad things from Staten Island. A lot mob boss live in Staten Island because it far away from the dirt the mob was doing, but close enough to get to anything the mob was doing. That scene from The Godfather where the police officer was murdered at the bar restaurant that was on Staten Island.
Great reaction my guy. Now you gotta check out Big Pun - The Dream Shatterer. You need to react to it immediately & open your mind because there are a lot of bars & wordplay that you're gonna have to catch. Some may go over your head to but its all good but yeah. Big Pun is a great wordsmith aside from Eminem n all dat
Bro this is the realist s""t. True hip hop, lyricist at their best. No mumble s&@t. The top five: rakim, big Daddy Kane, Eminem, busta rymes and the Wu collectively
I literally didn't think their would ever be a time in my life where I would watch people listen to Wu for the first time.....this shit was part of my introduction to the world of hip hop......and I ain't looked back since!

🐝🐝🐝
And their funny too
Wu-Tang is for the children!
Wu and Outkast….hands down my two all time favorite rap groups. You can’t go wrong with any of either of their songs 💯💯
I'm from the south but Wu Tang to me is the best representation of old New York streets back in the 80s and 90s.
When hip hop was HIP HOP 🔥 #Real
The origin of rap music is story telling, and poetry. Wu-tang does it well. Real raw and unapologetic story telling.
"story telling & poetry" nah, the origin is criticism to the system from popular wisdom, street wisdom... life. Things are told in the top but don't make sense in the bottom, that gives rap its original edge. If you take that out, you end up with just drugs and ass. Respectfully
So many classic joints even before the solo albums: METHOD MAN, Can It Be All So Simple, Mystery of Chessboxing, TEARS..
Facts... You really can't go wrong with any song from 36 chambers... I used to let it rock straight through...
^^more wu tang reactions any song on 36 chambers!!
The worst ft Onyx
Protect ya neck
Can it all be so simple is so damn good the sample is just epic
This is how you listen to real hiphop with substance and thats lyrically sharp.. this brothers spot darts. Back in the day,we analyzed, studied and really felt it. You doin it right homey. Do you.
this reminds me of high school back in '97, and the song had already been released since '93.
I don't need to say anything. It's just the best.
Next track you gotta check out is "TRIUMPH"...Shyt 🔥young king
Wu Tang is the greatest group and assembly of the best M.C.s of all time. Lyrical God’s(read the lyrics on some of their songs)
Hell yeah my dawg! Did my request. Real one 💯 glad you fucked with the Wu. These guys real MC/hip-hop.. Hope to hear more fasho!

Best comment I’ve seen on this: “in the 90s you had gangsters who wanted to be rappers and in the 2020s you gave rappers wanting to be gangsters”
You've now been blessed by the RZA
It's crazy you never heard this track bruh.
They are the Beatles of Hip Hop, it's almost mandatory to have the clan in your music collection. This was my teenage years.
The meaning of cream cash. Rules everything around me

So many Wu songs to do. Let's start at the beginning
Wu-Tang Clan "Proteck Ya Neck"
From the projects of Staten Island, they had the street cred, and their shit was rawer than anything else out there. When they went out they rolled deeeeep.
React to protect ya neck by wu tang.
they were street reporters. they lived through that. Today they are signed to a label in no time. back then it was hard
How in the hell did you get those vinyl's lined up so perfectly on that wall ? Good job looks awesome
Growing up a white kid in rural Alberta, Canada Wutang and Busta changed my whole world view. I'm 41 now and this music is therapy for me still. Much love, I've enjoyed your reactions.
