The goal scored by Andreas Ogris is fantastic. One of the best goals in fast race I've ever seen. He runs all the field since his goal until the austrian goalkeeper and then he push softly the ball over Lindenberger. A furious speed that reminds to CR7
@@elmilenario1292 Austria had looked good in the pre World Cup build up games yes and it was believed by many that they might pinch the runners up spot ahead of the Czechs or at the very minimum get through as one of the best 3rd place teams.

@@elmilenario1292 Austria had a good team in the late 70's/ early 80's for a few years but yes,France 98 is the last time they qualified, although they have appeared to be improving in recent years.
Decent match of USA, deserved for the draw. They performed even better against very strong Italian side and should draw as well. Unfortunetly didnt get any points, but i liked their play. Always high level of stamina and pace. Tab Ramos astonished me during that World Cup, i remember that John Doyle played damn good despite 8 goals conceded in summary.
Wow, it was a very tough game, the USA was called offside that did not exist in the second play, then the Austrians were committing a lot of fouls, at the end of the game they won without deserving it because the USA was playing well and they deserved to tie, but they fell their same game of committing fouls and that made them lose, I am very surprised at how young Erik Wynalda was before seeing him in the 94 World Cup.

Austria certainly underperformed at this World Cup.A lot of people, including myself, thought they were potential quarter finalists.

That goalkeeper handle at 6:20 is one of the worst calls I've ever seen....that's a straight red he's so far out of the box its laughable.
Whistle was for a foul on the keeper leading up to it.
