    there's a chance my grandpa was on that train lol
    the legacy fleet is ALMOST officially retired, they still run some on commute hours, at special events, and as spares

      I know it's only been five days since the last scheduled run, but how often do they now run legacy trains as spares, etc.? I want to know my chances in case I happen to visit the Bay Area soon lol

      @@SomeTrainEnthusiast I've heard they run them sometimes during commute hours. they kept some as spares. 3 cars went to/are going to the western railway museum

    With the new fleet BART is now running double the Yellow Line trains. This eliminated the rush hour special trains that turned around at 24th Street/Mission.

    Nice video. The Legacy Fleet are on the verge of retirement right?

      Yup, in fact tomorrow is supposed to be the last scheduled run of a Legacy Fleet train. They may still use them after tomorrow, but it'll most likely only be for extra service/emergencies.

      @skydiamond8705 Apparently the last scheduled run I was talking about happened last night rather than later today like I thought... so... not looking good for seeing any those few days. Best of luck, though
      Bruh why didn't the ping thing work

    Oh I remember the legacy train old door sticker that had BA on the other side so on the outside you would see a BA logo and inside you would see both stickers say danger do not lean on doors

    • @SomeTrainEnthusiast
      @SomeTrainEnthusiast  Год назад

      Yup, honestly that was one of the few things I found annoying about the legacy fleet, I like windows to be unobstructed lol

      @@SomeTrainEnthusiast It's hard not to when that was the face of BART for 50 years. The A Car *was* BART. When they retired the C cars, I was just like, "Oh yeah, haven't seen those in awhile. Oh well."

    • @SomeTrainEnthusiast
      @SomeTrainEnthusiast  Год назад +1

      @@Rubycon99 I was still bummed when I learned the C cars were retired, but you're definitely right, the A cars were far more iconic. The C cars were imo just an inoffensive solution to the problem of decoupling.
