Hi mate, thanks a lot and great to hear. eToro is my latest broker addition and I've also been really enjoying the experience. Instant and fee free credit card deposits are amazing 👌 Cheers
Hi! First time watching your videos! Also living in Dubai. I recently noticed that Etoro is charging comissions fees for stocks (I believe it starts in 27/10/2024). Do you still recommend Etoro for small investor like me? Thank you
Hi neighbour and thanks a lot 🙌 You are right about the commission on stocks, but since I buy only ETFs I does not affect me as that will stay commission-free. If you buy stock then sure, something to consider, though I believe it will mostly be $1 which is still reasonable, but if you invest say $100 a month then sure, it's 1% of your investments so then I would look maybe more into T212. If it's more than $100 a month as a percentage it's still not that much. Interactive Brokers also charge commissions and yet so many people choose them. What I like with eToro is that you get more and more benefits as your portfolio grows and you climb the eToro club levels. But yes, all of those mentioned the video could be great options for you. Cheers
Hi Kai, thank you very much, very interesting topic! I recently moved to Dubai, what are in you opinion pros&cons to invest using locally registered brokers? I was thinking to use my European accounts but maybe I am missing a point here...
Hi and thanks a lot. If your EU broker is international and let's you transfer your account to UAE great, but if it's based in EU I would change it as otherwise they might come after you eventually for taxes, hence I prefer International brokers like the one's I mentioned in the video 🙌 Cheers
Hi, I'm from Austria and I'll move to dubai soon. I use flatex AT as a broker. Is it necessary to change broker if I move? When is the best time to do that and which broker would you recommend? Nice greetings, betti
Hello Betti, Relocating from Austria to Dubai involves several considerations regarding your brokerage account with flatex AT. Account Continuity: Flatex AT primarily caters to residents of Austria and Germany. Upon changing your residency to the UAE, flatex AT may require you to close your account, as their services are tailored for residents within their operational regions. Regulatory Compliance: Operating a brokerage account in a country where the broker isn't licensed can lead to regulatory complications. It's essential to ensure that your investments comply with both Austrian and UAE financial regulations. So it looks like you will need to close it an open a new broker in the UAE. I would recommend all of the one's listed in the video, all are great options for you 👌 Cheers
Hi Kai! Regardin 07:10, is it the same for ETFs? Does ETORO only sell CFDs or if you leave leverage at x1 it won't be CFD? Hacen't found explanation of this in other youtube videos. Some clarification would be nice. Thanks in advance!
Hi and yes, also for ETFs, if you buy without leverage (x1) and it does not show CFD then you buy the underlying asset 👌 If it's a CFD it will clearly indicate it. Nice change they did there. Cheers
Hi 👋 That would be Trading 212 👌 eToro also often gives a free share, myself and others got $50 worth of shares, but they don't guarantee it. You can just sign up and see if you got it with my links. Cheers
Hi mate, I also love Wio Bank, such a great platform. For stocks though I personally would not use them as I understand currently they don't allow me to transfer them to another stock broker plus if I ever was to leave the UAE I had to close my account and thus sell those shares, hence I prefer international brokers for that, but for everything else, Wio is awesome 👌
@@SmartMoneywithKai im comsidering xtb or trading 212 for passive investment in etf, (weekly contributions) which one you recommend the most (without comissions, free withdrawals, etc)
Both are good but I would say Trading 212, super easy user interface and very easy to set up recurring buys all without commission so yea, great broker for sure 👌
@@SmartMoneywithKai when you need to withdraw money, no commission neither? Another and last question , any better option for saving account than wio bank? (4.25% for your money, and 5.25% for deposit 6/12 months) any better option? Thank you so much Kai! U really amazing
Yes, no commissions when you sell and no fees on withdrawals, love it. As for FIAT money (EUR, USD, etc.) I don't know anything better than Wio and T212 where I get 4.6% on my uninvested $ paid out daily without any lock up period which is awesome. If you want more returns you could convert some of your USD let's say to USDT stablecoins, on Nexo I get 13% interest, but of course, this has much higher risk. Cheers and appreciate your kind words 🙌
Ok, I just had a look and found this 'Important: Shares and ETFS are not offered by XTB Ltd (Cy)' so maybe you are under that branch, I think it's Cyprus branch. All others can buy real stocks and ETFs. Hope this helps. Cheers
Hi, agreed, IBKR is awesome. As for eToro, in terms of spreads, yes, it is a bit more than IBKR, though if you factor in commissions on IBKR for me with a weekly ETF buy of USD 500 it comes to pretty much the same total fee so you really can't hold that against eToro. Apart from that you do get a lot more perks with them. In the past they mostly had CFD's but now they also offer to buy the actual underlying asset which is great. Either way, all of those 4 brokers are great options and they may appeal to different people that's the beauty of choice 😉 Cheers
@@SmartMoneywithKai I know, just wanted to share my experience, when buying smaller positions the spread is not that bad , once i wanted to close my full position the spread was something around 70$ in total compared to 0.35-0,5$ fee at IBKR
Fair enough though keep in mind IBKR also has a spread which you should include on top of the commission, which is tighter but still adds up. Plus I buy ETFs on IBKR in London and have commission of USD12 on a bigger position so it' not like they don't charge either, but yes, they are more competitive but lack in other things, that's why it's great to have choice 🙌
IBKR is great indeed 👌 What you don't like about eToro? So far I've been really enjoying the platform and those club levels offer some really nice perks. Cheers

Hey Kai. Is it better to use Tiered or Fixed plan in IBKR for passive DCA investing in the S&P?
Hi, I went with tiered, much cheaper, fixed only if you have a huge monthly volume, in most cases you'll be better of with tiered pricing 👌 Cheers
Also, Revolut has been improving its trading platform. Wanna give it another look?
Hi, I could give it another look one day 😉 Sadly they don't operate in the UAE yet.

I can’t believe you recommended Etoro
I did and keep my own money there like millions of other users and very happy with them. But if you don’t like them plenty of other options 😉 Cheers
I use Wio Bank, lot of etfs, crypto, stocks , everything i need with low comission (1.05 dolar per transaction)

Sir amana app review please
Hi Dayal, thanks for sharing, never heard of them before, will have a look 👌 Cheers
I think XTB only has CFD's
Hi and no, they do have CFD's but if you buy stocks or ETFs you invest in real securities that give you ownership rights to part of a given company 👌
Right beside every stock or etf it says "cfd". Maybe it's different for my country idk.
Ok, I just had a look and found this 'Important: Shares and ETFS are not offered by XTB Ltd (Cy)' so maybe you are under that branch, I think it's Cyprus branch. All others can buy real stocks and ETFs. Hope this helps. Cheers
Yes I am indeed in the cyprus branch thanks for checking it out.
Ok then it makes sense. My pleasure 🙌
Etoro is terrible broker, used to invest there.. now i am fully invested with IBKR.. those etoro spreads used to be crazy high with higher amounts
