Frisk is very very lucky. If a character came in a second later or a patch of flowers was out of place, Frisk may have perished along the way.

I think it’s just because Frisk is at such a high level (LOVE, I guess) and so filled with determination. Maybe pacifist Frisk doesn’t even know they can do such things but genocide Frisk uses every last bit of their power? I dunno

Not really, it's implied that the golden flowers grew because Toriek took Chara to bury them there (Alphys mentions in the true lab logs how the seeds get stuck)

There is a theory that Frisk's Determination actually bends the narrative of the story for these events to happen. The other Human Souls have Determination and can save and load but Frisk's entire Trait is Determination and theirs is far stronger than any other Human soul. Frisk's Determination literally overcame the concept of Death during the Asriel fight and was actively Preventing Frisk from being erased even though the Hyper Goner shouldve purged the timeline. Frisks Determination is so powerful it was enough to fully resurrect Chara back into the story. Frisks Determination regularly Manipulates space time and towards the end of the game even literal concepts within the world of Undertale and since Frisk has technically lived thousands of lives and gone through every possibility from the start its possible their Existence literally altered the story itself. That may be the origin of all the Anomalies Sans was talkjng about in his Boss fight outside of just the space time continuim shenanigans. Frisk is an anomaly to the story

Alternate story of Undertale:
A long time ago, a human named Chara fell into the RUINS.
The human went splat and Asriel heard the noise.
Asriel absorbed the human's SOUL, exited the barrier, and wasn't ready to stop Chara from using his full power.
So monsterkind was freed at the cost of mankind.
Another alternate story:
A human child named Frisk fell into the underground.
Unfortunately, Frisk fell with too much horizontal momentum, hit a rock on the cavern wall on way down, and bled to death before Toriel arrived.
The end.

You forgot the worse one: The battle box decides to move while Sans decides to take a nap and Chara decides to do a second attack.

I always think of it as a testament of helping others, with all the good you do in the underground (half of the examples only occur on pacifist/neutral runs) you too are rewarded with their compassion and safety
Other interesting fact: Frist has a lot of stalkers, being Flowey, Alphys, probably Gaster, Undyne temporarily, and even Sans follows you around and monitors your choices. It's likely Asgore is aware of your location most of the time as well, considering Alphys reports to Asgore.
Alphys probably wasn't reporting frisk's location due to her whole plan of trying to befriend them.

Frisk's entire deal is being an existence that breaks all rules. Not even GOD or death can stop their endless DETERMINATION.
he made a promise not to kill the human and he knows what happens when it dies so he isn't worried about it's safety all too well.
Hell, even in the genocide route, we were lucky. Toriel was caught off guard, Papyrus didn't wanna fight you, and one of only two challenges in the run being Undyne stops you. Then... Mettaton was screwed over by Alph, sans knows killing you won't do shit, and Asgore asks if you want some tea.
Frisk would have been able to kill Toriel and Papyrus anyways even if Toriel and Papyrus didn't die in one hit and if Papyrus would fight back, but Mettaton might have been impossible to kill because of his defense if he didn't go into his NEO form. We were probably also lucky that Asgore did not absorb the six human souls.
I mean, they're a kid, they'd NEED that kinda luck to survive a place like the Underground.

Correction we don't SEE sans do very much. I think it's supposed to be implied that he does A lot more than he takes credit for... He at least saves you from undyne in the pacifist route as him getting scolded for sleeping on the job buys the player enough time to escape undyne.
no, it's all just called plot armor from where reality stands, now if u wanna immerse yourself into the lore, still no. he's a sentry, yk, a guard that had to rotate through different stations(though in sans case, he just teleports himself and the station to where he needs to be), Toby didn't have any special meaning behind sans being there(you would get the opportunity to talk to him right there if so), the only special meetings was when he takes you to Grillbys and when he takes you to dinner at MTT Resort
Considering determination and saving and all that, it's entirely possible that Frisk does infact die from all these things, reloads, and does something slightly different over and over until they survive

What if Asriel was the one that made their soul refuse death, I mean he wants to keep fighting with you infinitely to keep you around so that would make sense.
That doesn't make sense actually because Asriel was trying to beat Frisk so he can gain control of the timeline. Like Asriel's whole goal was to reset the timeline before Frisk fell down but he couldn't do that with Frisk in the way.
@@jaxsonevans7796Not really, Asriel is capable of erasing the timeline and the game's world at will. Also he is The *Absolute* God of Hyperdeath, meaning he can already reset the timeline.

Asriel couldn't do a reset because Frisk was there to stop him and Asriel only erased the timeline so they could kill Frisk but that didn't work and he was surprised Frisk survived the attack.

That's a secret power only frisk has in undertale its called PLOT ARMOUR
Chara survived that first fall with an injury, all the flowers did is keep Frisk from getting injured. If they got hurt, Flowey mightve been able to kill them with the friendliness pellets trick, but as long as they get past Flowey, Toriel knows healing magic, so they'd be totally fine.
There's also the fact Asgore may have wiped Frisk if he was actually going full force. It seems pretty obvious his heart wasn't in it, but he still put up a pretty decent fight.
frisk can reset when they die, but without that flower bed, it would have meant certain death. with no "saves" to help them.

Something I noticed is that when you die your soul breaks and stop existing, meaning that even if you die, the monsters remain trapped

You forgot about the fact that monster kid was also the one Undyne grabbed instead of frisk earlier on, making Undyne think it was just him and leave.
I really think that some of these are the point- you don’t need to be able to handle everything yourself, and if you are kind and attract people to be your friends you will never have to! In contrast, on the genocide route, no one will come.

the flowers dint breaked frisks fall he/she has an most bloodly sprite (blood on his hair and legs) DEBUFFS:
BROKEN LEG:you move 15% less faster
You have hemmorhage and you lose HP while moving (leaves you whit 10 HP)
and it doubles after falling again in waterfall.

Fear Of Death: You have 20% chance to dodge attacks(+1% the more low hp you have)
More Appetite: items healing efficiency heals 15% more HP)

During the asriel fight, frisk pulls and Undyne the Undying by using their determination to reform, because asriel controlled the save files
