- Hey guys! today I am testing the mini bake shop by Klutz! Will this be a train wreck like most of my other craft kit reviews? Only time will tell....LOL
I am not the best at clay and I had zero experience with this weird sticky air dry clay. I have used polymer clay, model magic and paper clay, but none of them had quite this consistency though, so I was struggling a bit. This is like a busted clay tutorial, maybe for beginners.
BUT if you love to make little cute bakery items like donuts, cupcakes, cookies and cake, then this mini bakery may be a blast for you!

Hey guys!! So I've learned from the comments that my clay was sticky because it reached too high of a temperature at some point in shipping most likely. It should not be sticky! So if you get this kit and the clay has big bubbles like mine, exchange it for a new one without bubbles. Then it should work great!!

My favourite one is the unicorn cake because it has a lot of details and I love how u mixed colours to make the skin of it, u spend lots of time on the flowers which look amazing, the is horn awesome and u even put a little more stuff on it by putting leaves on it to finish it off

That just turned out really good
Hack: put baby powder on EVERYTHING so the clay won’t stick and brush it of with a paint brush later
Hack: use water to smooth the wrinkles and lines you want to blend together
But it would not stick later

Umm putting water into clay makes it sticky and parts will look shiny and parts wont, so in my opinion, DO NOT put water into clay
But not too much or it will turn to mushy banana texture textures ort textures or to thing
If you put too much water on clay than it will be weaker

I’m pretty sure I did this kit (or something very similar to it) when I was little. I remember them turning out really cute, and they’re super fun to make! I definitely recommend any klutz kit!
When Moriah says her art sucks it saddens me because she is soo creative and so inspirational to lots of people young and old and I love all of her creations EVERY. SINGLE. ONE! And she is hilarious and the highlight of my Friday ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

This is a random story about when I was younger. I used to love art kits and my parents always stayed in hotels. Idk why, but whenever someone reviews a art kit is always gives me memories of me sitting on the table with my parents watching tv and ahh I love it. That was random and weird but I always get flash backs

I love klutz kits. i saw this video and REALLY wanted this kit. i got it for my birthday but all the clay inside was dried up. i told the company and they sent me a new one . it was perfect! btw moriah i love your designs in this video!

I have watched this video a few times before, but I literally choked myself from laughing when the pink clay stuck to the book and she tried to take it off! Love Moriah, she makes me laugh!
As a polymer clay artist, this really triggers me. Moriah did an amazing job with the materials she was given. But the materials she was given... 😬😬😬
The reason your clay was sticking to literally everything wasn't your fault, or even the manufacturer's... It was most likely the store or shipper's fault. Air dry clay should NEVER be exposed to high temperatures. If it is the clay will turn sticky and develop lots of little air bubbles. So your kit most likely got too hot, but there's also a chance it was just really poor quality air dry clay...

@@MoriahElizabeth NP! I learned about the heat thing the hard way. I had bought a bunch of clay for a project and then thought it was a good idea to leave it in my truck on a really hot day while I ran into the mall 'real quick'... 3 hours later I came back to $70 in sticky, ruined clay. I've been using clay for a couple years and I still feel like a noob (especially when I see NerdECrafter's clay skills).

We all hate that you dont see the utter perfection of your own work. That's the best thing about art. What we see as imperfect is often how other people find our signature.

I'm not surprised that this actually worked. I've bought other kits from klutz and they've all been super instructive and they've all been a success.

I would recommend testing out the mini grocery shop clay kit. It has a lot more options and things to make and more clay (including blue😏) Love you and your videos!!!
