OMG 0:09 MONORAIL BOX !!!!!!!!!!!!!! And regarding the video, thank you thank you thank you for sharing this brilliant (pun intended) idea, I love you! :)
Thx a lot for this cool instruction and mod of the set 60198. finished it today and i'm impressed. i took a video for my channel for my german subcribers to show them this fantastic modification. i've linked your channel/video in the infobox, so they can look how to mod this train. my video will be published next week. thanks a lot for your work!
Nice rework of the front! The lights really add a great feature to the freight train, and like you say, shame Lego didn't include parts to convert for lights, but then again from what I've heard the design process was slightly more rushed on the freight train than the passenger one!
A very useful video, I haven’t bought the train yet, but I will sometimes this year along with 2 passenger train. When will you make an updated video of Dunkton? Can’t wait to see the progress.
I too have a lot of trains but you have more I have the heavy haul train ,the blue cargo train , the high-speed passenger train , the red passenger train, the yellow cargo train ,and I have a motorized lone ranger train
This video is old now but if I've remembered correctly the only pieces I listed were the extra ones needed that were not included in the set, so it could be that piece is already part of the set, it just needs to be moved?
@@DunksterBricks Could be... I'll know more when my son opens his birthday (5) present in March. This set was his wish, but what's a train worth without lights... 😊 Thank you for the video !
Well done mate! I used your idea and voila! Have got green train with working led lights. Thank you 👍 One thing: you forgot to list white brick 1x1 87087 6:52 :) Best regards from Poland man 🇵🇱🤟
Very useful tutorial and idea man, unfortunately now that I'm writing, many of the parts listed are not available anymore on the Lego website. Such a pity.
Mine won’t turn on for some reason I have the app I pressed the button and does not turn on so I think it needs battery’s or charging but IDK how to charge it didn’t come with a charger
As long as the track is flat the train should run without an issue. The clearance is pretty low but I’ve only had issues when running engines with the plow style couplers on layouts with slopes.
Lego is strange. In Passenger train there is enough place for light, in cargo you need some mods. Also I hate that you can have only one light per power block
Yes, this was an odd build, apparently the design was rushed. I agree 100% about the limitations of what we can connect to the Powered UP hubs, only two connections is very limiting.
Serait-ce possible que vous puissiez mettre les références des pièces car je n'arrive pas à les trouvé merci d'avance. translation (Would it be possible for you to put the parts references because I can not find them thanks in advance)
Is there any service, where I can paste the part list and order it all at once? Also is "green" the same as "dark green", because on lego.com Pick a Brick, there is only dark green or bright yellowish green.
Creative solution to the lights conundrum. Keep the videos coming!
Thank you for the Video and the part list. Looks very good.
welcome back, Duncan. Love both of these videos.
Finaly back! Awesome video and great Idea!
Excellent video, welcome back, greetings from Mexico!
You are very creative my friend modifying ur trains and the lights on this train my friend looks very cool.
Keep up the good work my friend :)

Good site keep it up thanks jamesfp
Thank you, great solution!
Thank you, it's useful
nice solution
Wow awesome!
I had 60198 train : )
Had? What happened?
@@privateagent I'll use this train in my channel.
Maybe July or August

No, it's just Lego being greedy
@@privateagent how is it greedy... now they can't sell you the extra light components if this is the only train you have
@@jonathandavis9774 I'm sorry, I wanted to say this instead: LEGO can't be arsed about trains fans.
Thank you for this video as well.
Perfect video! I used a little bit your idea but finally got something a little bit different :-)
I love your videos you are the best Lego youtuber I found
Thank you for this very good video and your instructions. It worked great. Greetings from Germany :-)
Glad it helped :)
A very useful video, I haven’t bought the train yet, but I will sometimes this year along with 2 passenger train. When will you make an updated video of Dunkton? Can’t wait to see the progress.
Your modified front of the train looks much better than the original front.
I too have a lot of trains but you have more I have the heavy haul train ,the blue cargo train , the high-speed passenger train , the red passenger train, the yellow cargo train ,and I have a motorized lone ranger train
Wonderful video. Can you please add the modified driver seat to your part list? Thank you!
I have now added the extra pieces for the driver seat.
Great upgrade, but I think you forgot to include 2x 1x1 plate (white) 3024 (around 7:00) into the list.
Thank you !

Very nice👍😀 Like
Could you please give me the instructions for wiring the lights and the other parts? It would've been easier. But this was s GREAT way of wiring.
Cool
Thanks! Very nice vid. But u forgot the modified driver seat in your partslist ;)

Good spot, I've updated the parts list.

2 vids in 2 days 😃
I Love your channel I'm german I can't speak good English
Very useful tutorial and idea man, unfortunately now that I'm writing, many of the parts listed are not available anymore on the Lego website. Such a pity.
It's probably worth checking BrickLink.com as the parts will be available on a store there.
Where to find this lighting, could not find the right lights with the right connector plug for the Powered Up power box
Mine won’t turn on for some reason I have the app I pressed the button and does not turn on so I think it needs battery’s or charging but IDK how to charge it didn’t come with a charger
Is 60052 still your favorite?
Good question, my 60052 engine is still the most reliable but the BR80 is by far the most detailed engine I have. I’ll need to think about it.
Nice mod to fit the lights. I have an issue with this train: the ‘bumpers’ are to close to the rails and are touching them. Do you have this too ?
As long as the track is flat the train should run without an issue. The clearance is pretty low but I’ve only had issues when running engines with the plow style couplers on layouts with slopes.
@@DunksterBricks ‘plow style couplers’ nice 😄my layout is completely flat and although the engine runs, I can hear the contact. Have a nice day!
@@DunksterBricks I ordered the parts to for this mod ;)
Welke Lego blokjes zijn nodig voor de lichtjes in te bouwen. Wij zien nergens de lijst waarin wordt gesproken in de video.

Hi. I saw you from Russia and i don't understand where is the money table ?
I do not like the powered up that much for this reason. The cables cannot be stacked and cannot operate with the same button!
Yep, I'm not a fan of the new system either, it's much more limiting on what can be done.
I also made a train derail lol
But true a lot more possibilities with power functions
Serait-ce possible que vous puissiez mettre les références des pièces car je n'arrive pas à les trouvé merci d'avance.

Why did i have to see this? Now i want to light up my train, and I have no money for it :(
Sorry! At least Powered UP only supports one set of lights and one motor.
Anyone know how to steering train by round circle not by +/- ?
Brick numbers would help a lot can you we that cheers
Part numbers now added to the list.
How i cant Find lights for this train on any website
Lego sell the lights for the Powered Up system on their website.
where do you get the ingredients ?
BrickLink.com would be the best place.
These trains are great but... they can't have back lights😩
Yeah, that is a major drawback of the new system. 🙁
