Black and white footage of Flamenco guitar with 2 singers, El Chocolate and Martin; Martin's gypsy name is on screen, when he starts to sing, the guitarist is also named. Self taught, El Farruco was a famous solo dancer, here on Spanish TV. Solea, Seguiriya, and Bulerias performed, from the Chris Carnes' collection, archived by Deborah Fischbach and ItsArt.org. See the old style of Gitano Flamenco. The moderator interviews Farruco between the first two pieces. A friend, who also studied in Andalucia Spain commented that El Chocolate was El Farruco's brother-in-law. I suspect this was produced by Ricardo Pachon, a great friend of the Andalucian Gypsies, a TV producer and a local lawyer in Seville, but I didn't see his name in the credits. (I don't read or speak much Spanish, although, I did some translation of letras (song phrases) with Chris, who spoke Spanish and Calo. Enjoy!

Fabulous archival footage of some of the flamenco greats. Sure do wish that the sound was more in sync with the video though. Any possible way to work on that? happy to offer help if needed ....

@@deborahfischbach750 The audio is out of sync from the beginning. Though it doesn't matter to me. On a side note, this looks closer to 1970. Remember that Spain was way behind back then and still produced black and white TV shows into the early/mid '70s.

Chocolate is the one singing here. The style is a “soleá”. One of the oldest flamenco styles.

Hola buenas tardes te voy a explicar un poco en que se traduce el cante ni varita ni duende solo y único que salga de lo más hondo del corazón y pa eso ay que sufrir y pasa muchas jindama y fatigas el cante es nuestro de los gitanos igual que el baile y disfrutarlo como tal ni más ni menos chocolate por supuesto que fue un cantado de oro pero yo creo que como casi todos los que nos dejaron
