I would of never thought to looking on the other side of the store. Yes, you are right it should be on a end cap in the tool department. Thanks, now I know where find the rest of the PACKOUT STUFF.
Something that you all need to understand is “slotting fees”. The stores charge the manufacturers for the spaces on the store shelves. So it is Milwaukee needs to have the stores create a “Milwaukee Zone” where everything is all together.
Exactly, manufacturers pay for location in stores and create the displays not the stores. This isn't a home depot issue, it's a Milwaukee issue. Grocery stores do the same thing, brands pay more to be in higher shelves at eye level since they know people aren't as likely to bend over to get cheaper stuff on the bottom shelf. That's also where the term top shelf liquor comes from in liquor stores and bars. Higher the shelf it's on the more expensive it is.
Took me weeks of going into HD to finally discover where this was. HD employee suggested I look there. I said that makes sense let's stick all this new product in the rear of the store? He just shrugged and walk away.
They would sell a whole lot more accessories if they were all in the same area. I had no idea. I'm new to the Milwaukee packout scene. Have been using Dewalt tstak's for a few years and have not been satisfied with the tabs they use for stacking. Milwaukee Packout is a little more expensive, but in the long run, quality wins, hands down. I had no idea there were so many options available with this system. Thanks Jake for the heads up and all the videos tips you produce. Keep it up. Very appreciative.
There's multiple reasons: 1 - Real estate - per foot is more valuable in the tool section than the shelving/garage section. What would you take out to replace it with MORE Packout stuff? Often times, companies have to bid on the linear footage of their displays. Maybe Milwaukee decided that storage stuff wasn't worth Tool Area per foot pricing. 2 - Packout is so popular, people are coming to the store just for that. They will spend the extra time & effort to hunt it out no matter where they put it. 3 Like somebody else said - they are going to feature their own brands first.
Or, here's a novel idea... when people can't instantly find what they are looking for, they ask an associate and that person takes them to the location, or at least tells them where and points in that direction. Shelving and storage products are in the shelving and storage department.
Ok so first I hear and agree with Most of what you say. BUT lol 1: Most stores that have a puckout section have a space that is the same width as the new Wall Storage items . SO all they have to do is combine the two put the overstock up high ( now yes that would require them to go up , but many of the stores I have been to have that room) 2: See all these comments, so many people did NOT know ! 3: I get the sore wants to do what they want ! LOL
As a contractor that works with Home Depot doing new layouts, can confirm that every store I've been in, that the packout "garage organization" section is in shelving. If they even have it. I've been in 5 stores that had it in that section and several more that don't have it at all yet.
i was looking for the packout vacuum and first aid kit and I only found it by looking at the app. Why is the packout not all together. Whoever is buying shelf space from Milwaukee isnt doing themselves justice for their brand.

I stumbled upon them one day when I was buying some storage totes...Until then I figured they would have started on an end cap or one of the seasonal sections like they did for the first two months after Ryobi Link was released. I understand what you're saying. My HD has a few of the Packout wall organizers right there in the main aisle, next to the Ryobi. The TTI reps are there all day long, and they are constantly engaging with customers. They are also there every Wednesday, with their truck inside the store, Packout radio blasting, NBHD tent set up and selling thousands of dollars every Wednesday, on top of their regular sales. But those end caps cost way more than the regular shelf space, and the regular shelf space isn't cheap either. As a contractor, remodler, I can tell you that I am in that shelving/ storage area a lot. So I see both the red and green stuff all the time. It's called organized by product, not brand. Go back in the plumbing and you'll find all of the Milwaukee plumbing tools that aren't stacked up by the cordless saws. But they only sell those products, not toilets, tubs, lumber and tools.
Same thing with all the HD in Arizona. They have all the Milwaukee stuff spilt up all over the store. It’s super inconvenient and just dumb have it all in one area.
I live in Houston, TX. The HD store on I10 is nicely organized and most of the different brand are closely displayed and stored together. Even then, there’s always spillage of merchandise that doesn’t fit at the time it comes off the trucks. In another Houston major highway, it’s a complete mess. You’re only looking at a point in time. In the next 12 hours, as space becomes available, HD will move those stray items where they belong. In another day’s time, another truck will arrive and there may not be any space. And on and on. Whole video sounds / looks like first world problems. Working men in sandals in other parts of the world are laughing at this. 😂 Edit: I went with the Husky BuildOut and it’s strung out all over the store too. Some of the accessories were in the tool isle next to the circular saws. It’s not just the Milwaukee Packout.
Now I know that it is called a Packout.🤣🤣 Perhaps next time I go to Home Depot they can help me find it. I could not explain to them what I wanted and they kept on referring me to the tool box area.😏 Thanks for this video.
I was looking for that stuff at my HDopot couldn’t find it why WOULD Iook in shelving, no wonder I couldn’t find it . Hard to believe Milwaukee would let that happen.
It’s so bad at the Cape Coral HD. I’ve been to the “Packout” section a handful of times and can never remember where it is because it is so poorly placed. But this video has me wondering if there is more in the shelving isle.
It seriously kills me how they have everything so spread out. It’s super inconvenient and half the time my Home Depot puts stuff out that’s super dusty and dirty looking. Like if they purposely threw dirt and wood shavings on it lol 😂
I found it in the automotive section at my HD only after I was about to give up and then looked online for what aisle the tool holder was on It makes no sense
That’s a really nice Home Depot im lucky if i can find packout tool boxes as far as and hooks or add ons they don’t have anything very disappointing i can find more at ace hardware then home depot . and yes it’s in the moving and packaging isle what a shame
Love packout. I stay away from ryobi just cause I’ve seen their tools burn out on jobs, even the new ones. Wouldn’t be surprised if a wheel falls off their box when loaded
I work for HD, the cost of Ryobi vs Milwaukee, Ryobi wins. However, quality wise, Milwaukee wins. I also watch another RUclipsr doing tool tests, and Milwaukee usually comes out a winner. But when it comes to displaying, HD is a bit whacked.
@@JakeOfALL There are 5 or 6 HD's in my area and the one close to my house is actually the 4th or 5th largest/busiest in the World. The TTI reps are there daily, in force. So when I see silliness like that, I typically say something to them about it. They'll either tell me why it is like that, or make a change to make it more accessible. Home Depot does have a big shrinkage problem, especially with their tools, so that may be a reason it is up that high.
Not only are you correct but it took them forever to actually get the damn product in the actual store smdh. I've literally been going down that isle for this exact reason and surprised it's there now. ABOUT MF TIME
went looking for the new double bins, stock said 12 in store,,, asked several employees, they had no idea where they were... now i know where they were,,, stupid
Watching your video right now on my tv so switched to laptop. You said to comment on what is wrong with that packout wall in the shelving aisle. The wall plates are empty. Not showing a single packout accessory on any of the wall plates. I discovered this same issue recently when I went ape shit with packout. Wife and I just kept buying, once we found the damn items in shelving. We were shopping online to see what they had at my local store. I went to the typical packout area and was like where are the 35 in stock m18 holders or the 37 in stock m12 holders etc etc. Went to homedepot app and found them in shelving.
Hard to put this just on Home Depot.... Milwaukee needs to grow a spine and either give the local contractor supplies a legitimate decent price break or they need to shrug their shoulders at Orange Walmart for allowing themselves to be dismissed for the likes of Ryobi and Ridgid. Milwaukee is clearly a premium brand name that shouldn't be subjected to Home Depot product placement without input, but at the same time, the wall storage systems for packout does seem like another chance for Milwaukee to end up in another product placement area than just the front line end caps and tool corral. With that said, I watched this video tonight and realized I've never seen anything in the local HD stores for Milwaukee in the storage aisle, so I need to see if this is why I can't find Jack sh...ush, (oh boy, keep it PG fire RUclips),. besides just packout radios and weed eaters in the front of their stores in premium display areas. I get it, Home Depot is heavily invested in Ridgid and Ryobi, but Milwaukee, DeWalt and the German Smurfs still should be setting limits on how much they're minimalized just be inside a box store. I do fully admit that I rarely get a chance to visit the local contractor supplies during the week, so HD does get sales from me on the weekends in the 4 figure range for tools and consumables and it irritates me that I'm feeding their retail / consumer model beyond belief every time I walk into their stores on a Sunday afternoon.
You have a point you have to be 7’ tall to access it I’m at a homedepot right now and just realized that it’s in all the stores I didn’t know it was available in stores until this video that is ridiculous I always see the ryobi on clearance or easy accessible they need to fix this crap I’m never shopping for shelves so I would’ve never known until you mentioned it LMAO
Well, I suspect you are crazy, but not about this. I thought the same thing when I went looking for the narrow mounting plate and had to go to shelving to find it.
Like the mounting plates are actually less expensive than the ones that they originally started selling with the PACKOUTs so it’s a better deal for the customer to
That division has a lazy rep. The stores in my area all the main visual areas are loaded with Milwaukee everything. And the TTI rep is in the store a lot. Just about every weekend his pretty red F150 is out front.
Was looking at this shelving system today at a non box store. I've just began to read about the stuff and the idea is there BUT there a some serious engineering mistakes. First off, the mounting plates. You install one, using the 16" on center, well you try to mount another beside it and you are now f'd. You're center points are no longer good to land on the 16" studs. These should be able to overlap to utilize the pre drilled holes for 16" centers. Second, hardly any packout components work with this bracket system. The 2 and 3 drawer cabinets don't, and these would be one of the most used items for the shelving system! Now I realize thos stuff takes time and trial and error, but come on. I'll bet that all of the packout organizers and other pieces will come out and many people may have to resort to selling old pieces for new. All drill cases well any tool hard case, should work or be a packout. I seem to remember they used to have this for some impact sets, haven't seen in some time. Anyways great video, and I think that Milwaukee and HD should have this display in the proper location and accessible for all to play with!
Thanks so much for the well thought out comment I do feel after doing some measuring that with a little work you should be able to get them into studs. You could put a Drawer on the Wall cabinet to make that fit. I do think the wall shelf kits are better for that as well. Thanks so much !

Same thing with all the HD in Arizona. They have all the Milwaukee stuff spilt up all over the store. It’s super inconvenient and just dumb have it all in one area.
Crazy
Edit: I went with the Husky BuildOut and it’s strung out all over the store too.
This is crazy! why HD / MT
@@JakeOfALL 🌾What does MT stand for?🌾
I agree Jake!!!
Thanks
The best thing about home depot is the Milwaukee😀😃😃😃😁😄 section!!!!!!
Yeah
I live in Michigan and the home depots around me don't even have most of the pack out stuff in stock
Crazy
Preach!!
Amen ! lol
I was looking for that stuff at my HDopot couldn’t find it why WOULD Iook in shelving, no wonder I couldn’t find it . Hard to believe Milwaukee would let that happen.
Yeah and many are saying Milwaukee is part of the problem
Learned something new.
The Home depot i go to has very little for packout systems. TTI reps have no answer why.
Damn they’re slow
Along with that where are there vacumes at in the back of the stores also it is hose stuff that it isn't in the same area
They could totally have a Milwaukee vacuum hanging on it!
It’s so bad at the Cape Coral HD. I’ve been to the “Packout” section a handful of times and can never remember where it is because it is so poorly placed. But this video has me wondering if there is more in the shelving isle.
I have been to that one, I was like ? WTF ?
Damn I thought those were sold out! no wonder i couldn't find them smh...THanks for posting this video
Most welcome !
You’re CRAZY for Packout!👍🏻
✌🏻
Just a little lol
It seriously kills me how they have everything so spread out. It’s super inconvenient and half the time my Home Depot puts stuff out that’s super dusty and dirty looking. Like if they purposely threw dirt and wood shavings on it lol 😂
Yeah it’s a pain
I found it in the automotive section at my HD only after I was about to give up and then looked online for what aisle the tool holder was on
It makes no sense
It’s CRAZY!
Jake - you are NOT crazy. Home Depot should listen to you. Always great content.............I'll be heading to HD today.
Thanks
That’s a really nice Home Depot im lucky if i can find packout tool boxes as far as and hooks or add ons they don’t have anything very disappointing i can find more at ace hardware then home depot . and yes it’s in the moving and packaging isle what a shame
Yeah when we lived in Marysville Ohio for the first I think three years they had zero PACKOUTs
Love packout. I stay away from ryobi just cause I’ve seen their tools burn out on jobs, even the new ones. Wouldn’t be surprised if a wheel falls off their box when loaded
Oh yeah !
Packout could be in the garden area ! Real Pros will find it ! When have you seen a commercial for lamborghini ;)
hahahahahaha
From the picture. Cover that outlet before you hang your packouts. Someone in the picture clearly doesn't have their priorities straight.
Good catch
Королю PACKOUT - респект✊
Thank you ✊
Thank YOU
I work for HD, the cost of Ryobi vs Milwaukee, Ryobi wins. However, quality wise, Milwaukee wins. I also watch another RUclipsr doing tool tests, and Milwaukee usually comes out a winner. But when it comes to displaying, HD is a bit whacked.
Right on !
Manufacturers pay for the space. DiY marketed tools are generally more profitable.
Yeah they need to at least have a treasure MAP
The ryobi stuff is a hd exclusive ain't it? If so I bet that's why it gets better placement.
It's crazy
I do agree that having the main display that high is ridiculous though.
we need to do a change.org LOL
@@JakeOfALL There are 5 or 6 HD's in my area and the one close to my house is actually the 4th or 5th largest/busiest in the World. The TTI reps are there daily, in force. So when I see silliness like that, I typically say something to them about it. They'll either tell me why it is like that, or make a change to make it more accessible. Home Depot does have a big shrinkage problem, especially with their tools, so that may be a reason it is up that high.
@@JakeOfALL I made a video in response to this, but can't post the link.
I agree. 3 of the 4 hd near me dont even stock the packout wall stuff
Boo
My store has Milwaukee stuff in 3 to 4 different locations.
It’s stupid
At my homedepo the packout section is not by the front either
Crazy
Each HD has a milwaukee rep. Id blame them. My store has it good one week then a mess the next.
I have talked to reps before and they have said they have to fight with the stores.
Not only are you correct but it took them forever to actually get the damn product in the actual store smdh. I've literally been going down that isle for this exact reason and surprised it's there now. ABOUT MF TIME
My store hade a bunch but it was not enough to build the display
went looking for the new double bins, stock said 12 in store,,, asked several employees, they had no idea where they were... now i know where they were,,, stupid
It is!
Looks like there is no outlet plate cover in the photo? That is the flaw in that photo... OSHA would be so mad! lol
Yeah lol
It’s saying more pack out in this aisle. When it’s in the tool aisle?
Lol
Companies pay more for floor space through contracts no conspiracy 😆
Hahahaha
Your Home Depot has way more packout than the one close to me!
They know I’m near by
Watching your video right now on my tv so switched to laptop.
You found it! but sadly you were not the first. It's crazy !
I don't disagree at all.
Exposed wires hanging out the wall
Hahahahah yeah
You have a point you have to be 7’ tall to access it I’m at a homedepot right now and just realized that it’s in all the stores I didn’t know it was available in stores until this video that is ridiculous I always see the ryobi on clearance or easy accessible they need to fix this crap I’m never shopping for shelves so I would’ve never known until you mentioned it LMAO
If I could get away with it I would totally go into the store one day on a busy day and move everything just to show him what it should look like
Got to see if my store has this
Let me know
If they did it right they could sell a lot more. Doesn’t make any sense.
Yep Yep Yep
i would have never check there plus it to high up to try things out i would assume they did"nt have it
It’s messed up
In my local their aint non or unless they have them hidden like you say
Booo
It says “Try Me”. But you can’t , right?
Well yes that’s definitely funny but not the really funny thing
I don’t know if my store has any Milwaukee material in the storage section.
Go now ! Report back
Well, I suspect you are crazy, but not about this. I thought the same thing when I went looking for the narrow mounting plate and had to go to shelving to find it.
Like the mounting plates are actually less expensive than the ones that they originally started selling with the PACKOUTs so it’s a better deal for the customer to
I didn’t know the HD stores had those accessories.
Seee that’s my point lol
Do they even put packout boxes on on them? Looks like any old garage organization
Hahaha
I have an idea for a new store...... The Packout Depot!
I would shop there.
That division has a lazy rep. The stores in my area all the main visual areas are loaded with Milwaukee everything. And the TTI rep is in the store a lot. Just about every weekend his pretty red F150 is out front.
Well they need to step it up
Why do they have the toolbox mounted to the wall in the picture if it opens from the top?
Hahahahaha
So what was wrong with the picture?
Love the shirt 🤘🇺🇸
Thanks
Awesome gear, but yes bad position
Yeah
Remember the people who decide what goes where have a degree. Meaning college education. Intelligence isn’t reading a book.
Yeah lol
they should have pack out crates there
Yeah so many missed opportunities
Our stores do not have all of that????
WTH
Ryobi is part of TTI Group
Yep
No plug cover on the wall is what I see missing
Good catch
nailed it
Yeah
Princess 👸 packout is going to get mad at you for shopping more packout
hahahah she is !
@JakeofAll off topic, but I really want that song.
TTI wins. They need to get awareness out for the Ryobi.
Hahahahha
It all the way over by the outside corner far away from tools here that I seen today.I think bug killer was there a while back haha
It’s stupid
HF freight has Doyal tools all over the store..Seen that shit today too ! It’s like an Easter egg hunt in 2nd grade.Bet a young college kid thought that shit up .
