I play the Scandinavian Main line Mieses variation with Nc6, Bd2, Bg4, Be2, Qh5, O-O, O-O-O, Be3, e5, h3. I say that you need to know the opening and development and you get an even position which can be tricky, because you need to watch out for tactics and avoid traps for both white and black players. In the position above I would play h6. It would be a mistake with hxg4 because of Nxg4 and black has the threat of mate on h2. It is not for absolute beginners because you need to know how to develop your pieces so you can come to a good middle game
I don't want her to lose, but I think I know what she's going to do if she does. She'll have to play her favorite opening with the white pieces, you know the one.
Sometimes she corrects herself over her misuse of English phrases ("my time is few"), but then she uses a word like "exploit" in the proper context and I'm so impressed like.. she's speaks English better than I do. I would love to speak a second language half that well
@@BobbyFischer0000 Nf6 is good too though, and I would say probably easier for beginner/intermediate players to get a good position with. The Icelandic and Portuguese Gambits can be quite effective.
There is a trap when the black queen is goin to take your b2 pawn . Move a2 pawn to a3 and then after they take, move knight to a4 , trapping the queen. Learned from Alex b. On RUclips.
3:35 Alessia, just play pawn a3, if the queen takes b2, then play knight a3 and the queen is trapped. You missed this tactic also earlier in the speedrun. Mentioned this before, read the comments! lol 😄
Actually, after Na4 the queen is not really trapped cause it can just capture the pawn on c2. However, a3 is still the best moves but you have to follow up with Qd2 and if queen captures on c2 you gotta play Qd3 which is gives you a strategically better position cause you still threaten to trap the queen or the bishop with e. g. g4. Regardless, in my opinion it is almost impossible to spot such moves during a rapid 10pm game where you don’t have that much time to calculate everything.
Allesia amazing vids honey keep on streaming Abiut the poisen pawn you need to push a3 and after queen take you jump with the ka4 and that a queen usually . Thanks IM Alex for that 😊
I would have NEVER seen that mate in the second game. This series is so useful to learn, I'm enjoying the videos a ton!
U should do more puzzles
Brilliant games Alessia, very good lessons, I love this challenge !
13:32 knight C4💥🤯
Knight c4 doesn't work because the queen can just take the knight on c3

Exploit is a common chess phrase as in 'exploit (insert opponents piece)'
13:40 N c4
13:07 after Qxb2 Knight a3 and the queen is trapped
Scandinavian is good if you play 2. Nf6

In the last game wasn't there just a queen sacrifice for mate?
my thoughts exactly about the Scandenavian lol
13:10 Nc4 and a3 will trap the queen!!!!!
nice catch
Nc4 Bf8 a3 Qe7 am i right ?
but there is a bishop sacrifice to get the queen after Bf8 Bd6 Bxd6 a3 and the queen now is trapped again, am i wrong ?

4:32 I don't know if it is a good move, but she overlooked a simple move in her calculations. 1. d5 Qxf4 2. dxc6 (double check) Kxc6.
wasn't back rank checkmate missed with queen sack
Good one
Bravo.
