I am super impressed with what I see and read about Oranjia. This is the type of life that most of us desire - where infrastructure works and people will be held accountable for their actions. I would love to pay a visit one day (just need to brush up on my Afrikaans)

I can't help but feel with the name itself, that is Orania not parallel with what the Orange Free State was for, and don't want to cast any negative on what Orania is, but one has to ask, with the rest of SA beeped and run into the ground, how long before everyone comes there to things like hospitals, where everything works?
What would you think? A people with the foresight to buy this property and start this project while South Africa was still a thriving economy... They knew what was coming. Would they not have thought and planned for this?

Much has been said what a small group of Afrikaans have accomplished towards a self- sufficient community of Afrikaans in Orania. Sad to say, they do not seem to have done anything to absorb and welcome the displaced and marginalized Afrikaaans by the ' affiemative' action or discriminatory policy of the ANC government of SA.
