- Blair Conklin teaches Sky Brown, Ocean Brown, and Alan Bersten How to Skimboard. Alan Bersten did and incredible job for his first day of skimboarding. This sport is one of the most challenging sports to learn and progress. 9yr old Ocean and 12yr old Sky both progressed much faster than usual. It is incredible how fast these aged kids will pick up a sport and bounce right back up when they take a spill. Check out what these kids are up to by heading over to their channel @Sky & Ocean .

Hi Blair. I love your videos! I know you already have one video on water dropping and side planning, but I was wondering if you could make another one on side planing exclusively. I see that sometimes you switch to side planing when you transition from the sider to the wave. I would like to know how you decide which one to use, as well as how to train for side planing for a beginner. Thanks!

I ride goofy and I step on my board front foot first and hold my board with my left hand on the front could you make a video on this or give me any tips
Honetly....just do what you're doing if it works. Drops arent all that important, unless you're board chasing, which isnt optimal for wave skiming. I do the traditional one step just cause it feels right to me, but it my not feel right for you. There are pro team riders out there with some crazy looking drops, like Valencia, torrealba, kiernan, skim dylan...they all have unorthodox drops and do great.

A leapord shark if it bit you would need stitches for sure. They dont attack in the water but if you catch them fishing it will %100 bite you trying to throw it back
