  • See the results in late summer of my methods. No dig, seasonal planting, interplanting, pest prevention and continuous propagation.
We can’t have a crowd here in 2020 so I take you around the garden with a camera. This video supersedes yesterday's one with poor sound. I hope you can all hear me this time.
Thanks to those of you who appreciated the earlier video.
    .
You see a quarter acre or 1000sqm of intensively cropped ground. Most beds now have second plantings. We make no new addition of compost or feeds for these. Compost is added just once a year.
Wire for cloche hoops is lengths of 2-2.5m of 4mm galvanised wire, from Reddifast Steel.
Brassica spray against caterpillars is Bacillus thuringiensis. A soil bacteria, see link below to buy it.
Homeacres total area including house is 3/4 acre or 3000sqm. I have been here for eight years. It was weedy pasture before.
See my book for explanation of no dig and using these methods to convert weedy ground to productive soil.

Bacillus thuringiensis - my recommendation is to use search, to find Dipel on eBay.
Climate is temperate oceanic. In August we had 125mm or 5in rain, and average temperature was 18.5C 65F, night and day. Officially this is zone 8, but summers are cooler and winters milder.
