MATERIALS:
Canvas: 16x20 stretched primed canvas
Brushes: 3/4 inch flat bristle, #6 round synthetic, #2 round synthetic
Acrylic Paint: titanium white, mars black, deep yellow, burnt umber (brown), burnt sienna (rust), cobalt blue, fire red
Other: chalk, cup of water for washing brushes, paper towel for drying brushes
STEPS:
1. 3/4 inch bristle brush - Paint base coat onto canvas with white, black, blue
2. 3/4 inch bristle brush - Paint atmospheric dimension with light blue (made in step #1), blue, black, brown, white
3. #6 round brush - Paint trees with black, brown, white, dark blue (made in step #2), light blue
4. 3/4 inch bristle brush - Paint ground with black, brown, rust, yellow, blue, white, light blue
5. Chalk - Draw outline for ghost
6. #6 round brush -- Paint base coat for ghost with black and white
7. #6 and #2 brushes - Paint foliage and shadow with black, brown, red, yellow, green (made in step #4) rust, light blue, white
8. #6 round brush -- Paint cloth with green, white, black, brown
9. #2 round brush - Paint facial features and hands, and base coat for lantern with black, white, blue, gray (made in step #6)
10. #6 round brush - Paint the light with white, yellow, red, brown, rust, gray, black
11. #2 round brush - Finish lantern and stars with black, rust, light blue, yellow, white
12. #2 round brush -- Sign with black
