Thank you so much for making this video about Hai Lan Cha. I had no idea that he wasn't initially a bannerman. I learnt so much from this video. Thank you very much.
Thank you so much for this video! I had tried figuring out if he was based on a real person in the past but didn't get very far with google, so this video was incredibly helpful!
Hi Bing! Thank you so much for your videos, I watch every single one! :) I thought this tip might help your videos in the future, "called" is pronounced "cold" (e is silent). Keep up the amazing work educating us all about Chinese history!
Thanks for this video. So based on this, the "Soulon/Solon" was not a surname, but a group of people then? Since in Yanxi Palace when he was still a guard, Hailancha was called Soulon-shiwei so that's why i assumed it was his surname 😅 (i also just followed the logic of them calling Fuheng "Fucha-shiwei" before he was promoted)
Excellent video! A drama on him would be excellent wouldn't it? What an impressive life he had. His name sounds almost musical when you say it. Is there a meaningful translation of his name? 💚
Wow i never heard he was a real person until you mentioned it ina video about maids and guards previously, his story is amazing. Do you know if Lin yunche was also real? And can you tell the story of Fuca fu heng? By tje way why ca is pronounced like cha?
Obviously English is not her 1st language, so it's easy to mess up even on paper when generated from another language, especially if you speak a language that doesn't use terms like Him or Her to describe Male and Female, unless directly referring to the individuals gender.

Thanks Bing. There is a huge lesson in this that it doesn’t matter you background or family name if you work hard your talent will make a way for you.
