He really is good at explaining things in a way that makes complete sense. I don't know how much of it is Mr Khan being terrific and how much of it is so many teachers not being able to explain this properly.
I just really want to thank you for these videos. I am doing doing a semester abroad in Austria and don't understand much because it is all inGerman, but these videos have helped me so much!
haha! What???? simple as that right. What's wrong with these lecturers they are addicted to writing lengthy formula that they can't explain by themselves. thanks for the simplifying these things sir...
Beatle Bug Actually you can. You already have one x and y coordinate for the end point, and you know what the x and y coordinate for the midpoint. So set up the equation( x1+the x value of the endpoint given to you)/2=the x coordinate of the midpoint . Simply multiply by 2 and subtract the x value u already know and that will give you just the x value for the other end point. Do the same for the y coordinate and you will get your other endpoint
You brilliantly explained in 6 minutes something my teacher couldn't make us understand in 50 minutes.

you mean my teacher didn't make me understand in 3 weeks 💀
My daughter is in the beginning of 10th.. when I saw her homework, my heart sank... This video made it simple.. thank you🤗
Same lol
im in the 10th- on the verge of dropping out of school
I’m in 8th grade bruv skill issue
Bruv I'm in 6th learning 8th grade math your not special
@@Outerlaystoo much ego eh?
I had my daughter watch this and it was way easy. You’ve explained it ten times better and easier than anyone on here. THANK YOU.
smack dab oon the floor, smack dab give me some more, smack that oohhhhh
i am you omg I was singing that when I was working on my math work
LOLLL
kinda cringe bro ngl
Uh....
Sal just loves saying "smack dab in the middle of..."
Lol ya
yup, he sure does
I was assigned to watch this as a homework assignment...... Guess I'll do it; anything to get an A.
Are you alive bro?

you're sooooo much better than my algebra teacher. can you please come to my school and teach?XD but seriously though I hate my current teacher
Wow your probably so much older now...
@@zamiad yeah haha
Do you still hate that teacher?
I just really want to thank you for these videos. I am doing doing a semester abroad in Austria and don't understand much because it is all inGerman, but these videos have helped me so much!
Boy, much easier than the formulas I tried (and failed) to learn 57 years ago and now trying to get correct in my old analyt book.
Thank you so much my teacher just does it without explaining or going through with us and expects us to learn it that way
This is really simple for me! I'm going to learn this in high school geometry!
Wow. I’m over here trying to use trig to find the (x,y) coordinates of the midpoint 😂 Awesome! Thanks!
thanks a lot SAL KHAN!!!
It's so much easier than I thought, you just find the average
You are the reason why i passed calculus! Thank you! 😭😭😭
I'm doing this for geometry ?😂😂
why are u using this for calculu
You passed calculus not knowing how to find the mid point? O.o
Thanks for the lessons, they're really helpful.
wow, I get it completely now. Thanks so much, I’m gonna tear this test apart tomorrow
Did you do well on the test if you remember?
@@t-80bvm21 to be honest I don’t really remember but I’m pretty sure I did fine on it
my teacher is a girl, not be sexist or anything. she just shouts and says write this and let's see how you'll get on the quiz.
Sal khan he is the best
ibrahim dagher bruh if you didn't want to be sexist then why would you even mention her gender
ad1t1s ikr
Relatable
It's not bad just make them very simple questions
Say you're looking for the point that is 2/3 of the way between those two points. Will the same method work to get you the coordinates?
No…..
Smack dabbbb dab dab dab dab dab dab....
THANK YOU SIR YOU HELPED ME SO MUCH ❤!!!!!!!
I’m in a test rn thank you
Did u pass it
great vid I found it very useful
Great video will help me with my test thank you
Thank you
it is so help full
Thank you so much for simplifying this, I have regents tomorrow and ofc I'm cramming last minute
thank you👍😊😊😊
Wow, I was calculating the hypotenuse then divided by 2 to get half of it; thinking that would be the midpoint
That's sounds super smart(no sarcasm)
Thank you! :)
This helped me a lot thanks
You saved my life
Watched it, got an a , my teacher’s head blew up when seeing my grade, so surprised…
really helpful
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
why does he keep saying smack dab? it makes me so distracted!lol
Thanks, so easy
Thank you so much
Is there a video on how to find a missing endpoint if one midpoint and endpoint are given?
This is awesome
@MarvelsofaLifetime not at all a playlist its a website called khanacademy
Great!
Well. ..If the question says.. The point B is (6,9) and C is (12,2)...and Given that C is the midpoint of BM...then what are the coordinates of M??
coordinates of M (18,-5)
for x you write (6+x)/2=12
and similarly for y
Sharp End Of A Basketball how did y get negative 5
so ez! haha im gonna get from 20% to 90% in math xD
Can yall do one for section formula pleasee
Thank u have an exam tomorrow
lol, I remember watching this video 7 years ago for a test
same 0-0
Wow I didnt know it was easy
I have geometry test tmr rip
Michael Y How did u do, asking a year later if u remember
thnk you so much proffesor. wuhoooo 😂😂i didnt get my prof last meeting
Thank you it makes it easier to understand
you wouldn't happen to have a video on distance formula would you?
Yes they do just look up Khan Academy Distance formula
Does this apply to midpoints in n dimensions?
Wait how would you find the 2 points that make up the midpoint formula?
Those were given in the problem.
Never gonna give you up
smack dad
And wht is the general equation of midpoint of a line
+nyasha nyamaka (x1/2+x2/2 , y1/2+y2/2)
its the easyest leson

Understand now
Nice
guess who invented the dab before it was even a thing??? that's right Sal
Sana all My trabaho na
Wow
Why is the midpoint important for the future?
haha! What???? simple as that right. What's wrong with these lecturers they are addicted to writing lengthy formula that they can't explain by themselves. thanks for the simplifying these things sir...
Lets SMACK DAB that Google class test!
This guy is facking decent
I love you
were did they get the (6,1)
He just made it up
wtf why did i do the hardway before I watched this video
why there is no sound?
but what if they give you the midpoint and one of the end points? :( I cant do it backwards....
