I'm so glad you mentioned salamon X. It's not remotely the same art style. There are very few X designs that I really love. Most either, like you say, seem like either a bootleg version or are just 200% more edges.

I personally like the Terriermon and Lopmon X designs, but I know why. Despite genuinely liking both of their lines, I don't have the same level of attachment to them as you do. And I think that factor explains into a lot of people's least favorite X-Antibodies: we don't like seeing our favs getting screwed up. Case in point, I think the whole Guilmon X line looks good conceptually, but the artist for Guilmon and Growlmon royally fucked it up.

If I had to say something about the X antibody forms is that in that they’re coming to the tcg and the artwork will be gorgeous since that tcg has gorgeous art.
I don't have an issue here at all. In fact, this list is something I agree with because I am a bit indifferent to the X evolutions. I do like some like Wizardmon X or the Dynasmon X because Candlemon is who I consider as my Digimon partner but other than that that's it.
X - antibody digimons are generally in my top 10 list but I would be lying if some of them are just ugly and unnecessary (btw, my fav digimon of all time is wargreymon x). Oh, and good video keep it up 👍
I don't really like Gabumon's design for one reason: they made him into a mammal now. Like I enjoy the image of a little scared lizard pretending to be a wolf. Him being a mammal with fur already on him just doesn't sit quite right with me. The little charms on Terriermon X and Lopmon X are supposed to be little "twin telepathy" stones, but in my eyes that just seems... silly, I suppose? I mean, not every Terriermon has a Lopmon counterpart out there and vise versa.

Hello Karn! I'm not and never a gamer, so I didn't know much about X-antibody.. But I do like searching about the news about Digimon and I stumbled upon X-antibody there! And from what a little I knew about X-antibody, I do like HerakleKabuterimon/HerculesKabuterimon X-antibody. I love Tentomon-line since the day first, and always hoping that after Kabuterimon, he would digivolved into something with more... human-like (well, I got some clues with Garurumon digivolved into WereGarurumon and Ikkakumon into Zudomon.. all from 4-leggers into 2-leggers.. so I had a hope) buuut..we got AtlurKabuterimon/MegaKabuterimon.. well.. not that I don't like him, I just prefer him to have more humanoid form.. And then 1st season end and 2nd season goes.. and then we got Stingmon. OH MY.. My eyes got bugged out! His design was what I was expecting for Kabuterimon ultimate/perfect form!!!! *sigh But, yes, the designers redeemed themselves for a tiny-weeny little bit with HerakleKabuterimon/HerculesKabuterimon X-antibody because he is indeed FINALLY got some more humanoid form instead of just got bigger and bigger, his name got longer and longer, aaaand.. body colors changed. Oh and his horn shape changed. That's it. Even his attack didn't get creative.. Mega Blaster to Giga Blaster??? Come on, enough with this blatant favoritism to Agumon-line and Gabumon-line only...
Oh boy.....X-Antibody forms always feel like someone found the anime dial and turned it too eleven, and then snapped it off. While I personally disagree with you on my boy Guilmon (being a bit biased on his line in general), I agree everywhere else. But one I would ad would be Greymon X, a design that feels too "ouch, the edge" as you would say, and it just looks wrong.

I don’t really like the designs of most X-Antibody forms. Except WarGreymon X. That form is awesome! And Cherubimon (Virtue) is my 2nd favorite digimon of all time, it’s X-Antibody form is so cool!
I only recently found out about the X-Antibody Digimon and I have mixed feelings on most of the designs. At first glance I adored Terriermon and Lopmon X, but then when the cuteness became an overload I started to slowly dislike them. They were no longer the simple, cute rabbit-like Digimon I am so fond of. I think to date the only X-Antibody Digimon I actually like whole-heartedly is Wizardmon-X. That Numemon you showed though...that was kind of terrifying. Not only was it a Numemon, but that shade of pink-purple is 100% toxic coloration in my mind. Great video ^-^
You hit the nail on the head with the bootleg vibe. Not only does the art of most X-antibody Digimon look different than the general digimon art style, they even vary between themselves. They look like some sort Digimon art contest entrants with all these random amateur artists putting their own spin on the Digimon.
For me the only really problem I have with these forms is the absent of a consisrent artstyle for the older designs particularly the beast design the weird me out but I really like do the aesthetic of the more armored digimon more cuz the artist in charge of these designs had a more consistent artstyle that look more digimon too me. Also some of the older ones need an update in design like beelzemonX who was made so long ago before the other 6 who got own sometime ago and black wargreymonX who looks like a downgrade to black metalgreymonX whose design is more distinct from its counterpart
For lopmon and terriermon Honestly all they should have done is made the ears and horns bigger. maybe maybe the the fluffy collar on lopmon but that's a big maybe. Like all that floofy and the the over side odd tails Like why? The tails were never anything noticeable. How the heck would they walk with those tails? Like I love the originals so much just that cute but power inside them. Not to mention the good and evil thing that they had going on for the movie.
Hey I like Guilmon X and Terriermon X. I think Terriermon X and Lopmon X looks freaking adorable. I would love to see a sequel to Tamers with them in it. I even like Gabumon X.
You go brother hell yeah I too wasn’t a fan of X Antibody either I only like Digimon whom naturally carry X Antibody like GranDracmon and his line or Dorumon and its kool in that regard but when everyone freakin gets it kinda losses what makes it special like imagine if everyone in SF outside the Shoto fighters could do a Hadoken or Shoryuken wouldn’t feel that unique any more same with X Antibody there are a few designs I like such as Omnimon X, Gallantmon X, Magnamon X, Daemon X, Megidramon X, UlforceVeedramon X, Diaboromon X, Rapidmon X. It’s usually the Royal Knights, Armor Digivolved Digimon, or Evil/Virus Digimon whom look good with X Antibodies but even that said it doesn’t need to be overdone.
x anti body digimon remind me of when nintendo gave kirby an angry face on every english box art in the 2000s to sell to teenagers too ashamed to admit they love a pink happy circle
I didagree with literally all of these (except Gabumon). Guilmon X is simple, but sleek and cool looking. The extra marks gives it a nice flair. Hagurumon X isn't overdesigned at all when compared to stuff like Zubamon, Hackmon, or like, Kokuwamon. It looks good and is a nice cool fresh take on Hagurumon. Salamon x isn't my favorite, admittedly, but it looks fine and just needs some better art tbh. Rosemon X looks different enough to Rosemon without adding too much. Vademon X takes the already nasty looking Vademon and makes it look downright grimey and I love that. The style is much more appealing to me. Terriermon and Lopmon are a bit much I guess, but I find them cute still and think they'd look great animated.
It's quite variable. Some feels like "hey, it's just a palette swap" like Agumon X(which frankly even the Hakase set stands out better), but others actually try a bit more like WarGreymon X. And then you have some like MetalTyrannomon X who change it up way more and stand out better, same as the Royal Knights and Seven Great Demon Lords. I honestly prefer anything but "barely changes", really.

I actually like most of these X antibody forms. I do hate that Salomon design though... Also, Lopmon has been one of my favorite digimon of all kind since I saw "Digimon The Movie", but I kinda like it's X antibody form. I do wish it could be some reaction to the weather or something, like maybe if Lopmon and Terriermon get cold they just FLUFF UP!
I actually really like the Lopmon X-antibody and Lopmon is my number 1 favourite digimon. Maybe it's just me but I love how Lopmon got fluffier and I don't have a problem with it, but that is just my overall opinion.

I disagree heavily with Lopmon X and Vademon X. I consider Vademon X to be an improvement and Lopmon X to be like an "oo that's a cute alt form". Terriermon X is bad tho and I 100% agree
X-Antibody mons as a concept is something I have never seen the point of so thanks for talking about how they ruin or at the very least prove unnecessary to so many great digimon.

Adding on to Plotmon X, I think Gatomon X also looks pretty horrible. And not just the official art work looking wonky, but the concept of like just readjusting some existing features just looks like there wasn't much creativity

I strongly dislike most X Antibody forms they are so sharp and extra most don’t even end up looking like Digimon. I like the ones that have simpler designs though, but when you look at it for 10 minutes and can’t figure out what the hell it is that’s a problem
I personally love X-antibody Digimon, there are some that I like, and others not so much. Since this is a video about which ones we don’t like, I’ll say I don’t like Gazimon X and Gotsumon X because I think they look weird. Gesomon X I find just plain ugly. Numemon X and Starmon X both look kind of dumb to me. Despite liking Mamemon X and MetalMamemon X, I do not like PrinceMamemon X because I think it looks ridiculous in comparison to the other X-antibody Mamemon. Minervamon X is easily my most disliked X-antibody Digimon, and I actually really like the regular Minervamon, but Minervamon X bothers me because they decided to just shrink Minervamon down even more and make it look like a young child, so I just can’t take it seriously. That’s 7 so not quite a top 10, but those are the ones I personally don’t like.
Then what do you have in mind for Guilmon X design? For me, I want him to be like the opposite of his Tamer counterpart of being more ferocious, and be more like the Velociraptor and the Indoraptor from Jurassic Park and World.
I admit there are quite a bit of X-antibody DIGIMON that are cringe however in light of that there are some that I feel have excellent design elements personally I love the design for Lucemon X- antibody.
I think this is one of the few times I actually really disagree with some of your opinions. Terriermon, Lopmon and Hagurumon are probably my absolute favorite Rookie X Antibody forms.
i feel like if you make the coat and the pattern on gabumon X belly black and red but keep the rest yellow it feels like a bancho version think about it looks like a gabumon that despide its kind nature went trough many fights and wone them add a little scar and some leather clothing on the arm thats out of the coat and there it is
1:11 if I would compare mega evolution to something in digimon it would be the burst mode because they both go one extra step after their original final evolution
@@darionkira1362 burst mode IS a mode change the main reason that I use it as an example is because of the power boost it brings the same can be said for dukemon: crimson mode, omegamon: merciful mode, alphamon oryuken (or however you spell that) the second reason I used Burst mode as a comparison to mega evolution is that unlike the power boosted forms of the royal knights Burst mode is called burst mode for multiple digimon it isn't exclusive to one digimon much like how charizard, Lucario and pinsir all have mega evolutions but it isn't the same as say Zygarde's complete form or the primal forms of groudon or kyogre
Some x digimon are cool but most of the time is just... Let's make it edgier. Tokemon x i like it because it feel cute and cool. I still waiting for angemon and magnangemon x
@@Karn_EX I mean, fair in some cases Although, I'd have to disagree with the x terriermon and lopmon due to the fact I love their designs, and the fact that jewel they wear on their ear is suppose to be a psychic link to the twins so they know where the other is at. Which, I find cute and heartwarming But yeah, I mean I get that. For the same reasons I couldnt get into pokemon black and white when it first came out. A lot of those pokemon designs werent very inspired, though a few fid stand out to me.
I definitely tend to prefer normal Digimon to their X-Antibody counterparts, but I actually kinda like Hagurumon X, Terriermon X, and Lopmon X, not necessarily better than the original but still.
Yeah, this "liking the original over the x-body" REALLY applys to me with plesiomon in paticular. Plesiomon x-antibody just swing the complete opposite direction of "A very majestic creature of the sea" in my opinion, when you compare the x-antibody over the original it really looks less majestic over the original.
ok so its my first time looking at terriermon x and all i can think is thats not a digimon is a generic jrpg enemy, seriously even the x digimon have a certain aestetic belts spikes and sharp angles that as none of it, if some tell me this is the design for the emerald carbunkel from tales of dragon fantasy i totally believe it
The best part of Numemon X is the back story where it holds the X antibody out for everyone to see and take because it knows that no-one wants to touch anything that it has touched. And the only ones I disagree with you with is Terriermon and Lopmon X, I personally love their designs. Their original designs are better, but I can't come to hate their X forms.

While I do share a lot of your issues on X-antibody digimon, I actually do like Guilmon X, and Vademon X is one of my favorite X antibody designs and one of the few I outright prefer over the original.
Hagurumon X looks like a robot Eggman would use against Sonic, it looks like after three hits Eggman would pop out from the divided line in the middle of its face.

I think some of these are definately but probably my least favourites are Pegasusmon X (too over the top) and Cyberdramon X where it has nothing of what the original Cyberdramon looked like. Cyberdramon X looks like an alien, heck the design should've been for a completely new digimon.
I love the Lore of the X-Antibody and X-Digimon. The whole Genocide stuff is something I really enjoy (I’m a bad person). But the designs, they are kinda... meh.

0:48 sure the official art makes it look kinda garbo but the digimon CARD GAME artwork makes him look SO MUCH BETTER In my opinion.

For lopmon and terriermon Honestly all they should have done is made the ears and horns bigger. maybe maybe the the fluffy collar on lopmon but that's a big maybe. Like all that floofy and the the over side odd tails Like why? The tails were never anything noticeable. How the heck would they walk with those tails? Like I love the originals so much just that cute but power inside them. Not to mention the good and evil thing that they had going on for the movie.
Hey I like Guilmon X and Terriermon X. I think Terriermon X and Lopmon X looks freaking adorable. I would love to see a sequel to Tamers with them in it. I even like Gabumon X.

You go brother hell yeah I too wasn’t a fan of X Antibody either I only like Digimon whom naturally carry X Antibody like GranDracmon and his line or Dorumon and its kool in that regard but when everyone freakin gets it kinda losses what makes it special like imagine if everyone in SF outside the Shoto fighters could do a Hadoken or Shoryuken wouldn’t feel that unique any more same with X Antibody there are a few designs I like such as Omnimon X, Gallantmon X, Magnamon X, Daemon X, Megidramon X, UlforceVeedramon X, Diaboromon X, Rapidmon X. It’s usually the Royal Knights, Armor Digivolved Digimon, or Evil/Virus Digimon whom look good with X Antibodies but even that said it doesn’t need to be overdone.
x anti body digimon remind me of when nintendo gave kirby an angry face on every english box art in the 2000s to sell to teenagers too ashamed to admit they love a pink happy circle

Personally not a fan of most of the Royal Knight X-Antibodies. They're way too busy. That's my problem with a lot of X-Antibody forms.
I didagree with literally all of these (except Gabumon).
Guilmon X is simple, but sleek and cool looking. The extra marks gives it a nice flair.
Hagurumon X isn't overdesigned at all when compared to stuff like Zubamon, Hackmon, or like, Kokuwamon. It looks good and is a nice cool fresh take on Hagurumon.
Salamon x isn't my favorite, admittedly, but it looks fine and just needs some better art tbh.
Rosemon X looks different enough to Rosemon without adding too much.
Vademon X takes the already nasty looking Vademon and makes it look downright grimey and I love that. The style is much more appealing to me.
Terriermon and Lopmon are a bit much I guess, but I find them cute still and think they'd look great animated.

It's quite variable. Some feels like "hey, it's just a palette swap" like Agumon X(which frankly even the Hakase set stands out better), but others actually try a bit more like WarGreymon X. And then you have some like MetalTyrannomon X who change it up way more and stand out better, same as the Royal Knights and Seven Great Demon Lords.
I honestly prefer anything but "barely changes", really.
Frankly, I love the idea of the X-Antibody but... I couldn't disagree with your picks. They are some of the poorer design choices.
Most of them look like bad fan OOCs rather than official artwork.

I love X-Antibody Digimon. I'm writing a whole story revolving around the X-Antibody Digimon. But I can still respect the fact that you don't. So long as we can agree to disagree.
Definitely! And I still have a very "pizza is pizza" approach. I may not love them but there's some I enjoy and they're all still Digimon at the end of the day and Digimon rule.

I actually like most of these X antibody forms. I do hate that Salomon design though... Also, Lopmon has been one of my favorite digimon of all kind since I saw "Digimon The Movie", but I kinda like it's X antibody form. I do wish it could be some reaction to the weather or something, like maybe if Lopmon and Terriermon get cold they just FLUFF UP!

I actually really like the Lopmon X-antibody and Lopmon is my number 1 favourite digimon. Maybe it's just me but I love how Lopmon got fluffier and I don't have a problem with it, but that is just my overall opinion.

Just curious, but are there any Digimon games that have the x-antibody digimon. I think a lot of them look really awesome but they just aren’t showed as much love.

I disagree heavily with Lopmon X and Vademon X. I consider Vademon X to be an improvement and Lopmon X to be like an "oo that's a cute alt form". Terriermon X is bad tho and I 100% agree

X-Antibody mons as a concept is something I have never seen the point of so thanks for talking about how they ruin or at the very least prove unnecessary to so many great digimon.

Adding on to Plotmon X, I think Gatomon X also looks pretty horrible. And not just the official art work looking wonky, but the concept of like just readjusting some existing features just looks like there wasn't much creativity

The action replay comment describes my feeling a for guilmon x perfectly. It also looks like fanart too. Also I never knew about salmon x, I could have lived without knowing about it too.
I strongly dislike most X Antibody forms they are so sharp and extra most don’t even end up looking like Digimon. I like the ones that have simpler designs though, but when you look at it for 10 minutes and can’t figure out what the hell it is that’s a problem
I personally love X-antibody Digimon, there are some that I like, and others not so much.
Since this is a video about which ones we don’t like, I’ll say I don’t like Gazimon X and Gotsumon X because I think they look weird.
Gesomon X I find just plain ugly.
Numemon X and Starmon X both look kind of dumb to me.
Despite liking Mamemon X and MetalMamemon X, I do not like PrinceMamemon X because I think it looks ridiculous in comparison to the other X-antibody Mamemon.
Minervamon X is easily my most disliked X-antibody Digimon, and I actually really like the regular Minervamon, but Minervamon X bothers me because they decided to just shrink Minervamon down even more and make it look like a young child, so I just can’t take it seriously.
That’s 7 so not quite a top 10, but those are the ones I personally don’t like.
Then what do you have in mind for Guilmon X design? For me, I want him to be like the opposite of his Tamer counterpart of being more ferocious, and be more like the Velociraptor and the Indoraptor from Jurassic Park and World.
I admit there are quite a bit of X-antibody DIGIMON that are cringe however in light of that there are some that I feel have excellent design elements personally I love the design for Lucemon X- antibody.

I think this is one of the few times I actually really disagree with some of your opinions. Terriermon, Lopmon and Hagurumon are probably my absolute favorite Rookie X Antibody forms.

but keep the rest yellow it feels like a bancho version think about
it looks like a gabumon that despide its kind nature went trough many fights and wone them

1:11 if I would compare mega evolution to something in digimon it would be the burst mode because they both go one extra step after their original final evolution

@@darionkira1362 burst mode IS a mode change the main reason that I use it as an example is because of the power boost it brings the same can be said for dukemon: crimson mode, omegamon: merciful mode, alphamon oryuken (or however you spell that) the second reason I used Burst mode as a comparison to mega evolution is that unlike the power boosted forms of the royal knights Burst mode is called burst mode for multiple digimon it isn't exclusive to one digimon much like how charizard, Lucario and pinsir all have mega evolutions but it isn't the same as say Zygarde's complete form or the primal forms of groudon or kyogre

Although, I'd have to disagree with the x terriermon and lopmon due to the fact I love their designs, and the fact that jewel they wear on their ear is suppose to be a psychic link to the twins so they know where the other is at. Which, I find cute and heartwarming
But yeah, I mean I get that. For the same reasons I couldnt get into pokemon black and white when it first came out. A lot of those pokemon designs werent very inspired, though a few fid stand out to me.

Yeah, this "liking the original over the x-body" REALLY applys to me with plesiomon in paticular.
Plesiomon x-antibody just swing the complete opposite direction of "A very majestic creature of the sea" in my opinion, when you compare the x-antibody over the original it really looks less majestic over the original.
ok so its my first time looking at terriermon x and all i can think is thats not a digimon is a generic jrpg enemy, seriously even the x digimon have a certain aestetic belts spikes and sharp angles that as none of it, if some tell me this is the design for the emerald carbunkel from tales of dragon fantasy i totally believe it
The best part of Numemon X is the back story where it holds the X antibody out for everyone to see and take because it knows that no-one wants to touch anything that it has touched.
And the only ones I disagree with you with is Terriermon and Lopmon X, I personally love their designs. Their original designs are better, but I can't come to hate their X forms.

While I do share a lot of your issues on X-antibody digimon, I actually do like Guilmon X, and Vademon X is one of my favorite X antibody designs and one of the few I outright prefer over the original.
Hagurumon X looks like a robot Eggman would use against Sonic, it looks like after three hits Eggman would pop out from the divided line in the middle of its face.
I just hope that my boy, my favourite digimon is in the good list

I think some of these are definately but probably my least favourites are Pegasusmon X (too over the top) and Cyberdramon X where it has nothing of what the original Cyberdramon looked like. Cyberdramon X looks like an alien, heck the design should've been for a completely new digimon.
I love the Lore of the X-Antibody and X-Digimon.
The whole Genocide stuff is something I really enjoy (I’m a bad person).
But the designs, they are kinda... meh.
