看了直播,老三應該是凶多吉少了,啥都沒吃到還一直被老大霸凌,變得超虛弱,再沒吃到飯就真的要GG了
Thankyou Amber Cheng 🙏
Can we have a tribute for this poor little chick!?.. Please!?... its been through hell... So so Heartbreaking 💔🙏
I know they lay their eggs in different intervals like this basically as “back up plans” in case something is wrong with the first chick, and if there’s a food shortage the younger chicks are basically expendable, but it’s still sad. I wonder what causes the eldest to be aggressive. I’ve seen nests with lots of food where the eldest is aggressive, and ones where they aren’t. I’ve seen ones with 3 or more chicks and food is a little scarce and none of them are aggressive or like this place be here. Is it genetics? Instinct? Hunger? Gender? What is the driving force, or is each situation unique? Can anybody help me? I’m especially curious about nests with no rivalry and nests with lots of food with a lot of rivalry.
Lose of a parent bird?
No sign of the male adult and the female is not providing enough food so the alpha biggest Eaglet is lashing out at its siblings and the little one has sometimes taken to the rail edges of the nest to get as far from the bonking as it can. Yesterday the little eaglet got a few bites of food, so maybe it can survive. On other 3 eaglet nest cams, the male has been the savior of the littlest eaglet, feeding it on the side. In past seasons on this DH nest cam, the 3rd hatched eaglet has not survived, murdered by the big one and fed to the others. Hang on to your hat as this could get nastier soon if more food is not provided.
so sad🥲
Wow, that's interesting to hear. I am trying to go back in order and watch what has been going on in order to see when this started going down hill. I would like to find a playlist with the videos in order. But I am ending up having to jump around.
Your comment helped catch me up on the chain of events. I had been checking in on the live stream since incubation when I can. I loved seeing that all 3 eggs hatched. I kind of jump back and forth between live nest cams. I had no idea this happened until today. It's very eye opening to watch. I follow the Eagles alot and I know it's a matter of survival. I know survival is alot harder for the youngest, and they kill each other if not fed enough. But I sure didn't know it was this brutal.. I really felt like that 3rd one had to be fairly strong to survive all that torture. It kind of puts a new perspective on everyone always saying "there so cute and so sweet". These videos definitely show that even though there babies, doesn't mean there so sweet. Lol.. I really enjoyed the Dale Hollow feed from the day I started watching it. If I remember correctly they had live chat for awhile then took it down. I haven't checked in as much since the chat left, because I like being able to catch up on things I missed. I think it was this cam that had chat for awhile?? I wonder if they took chat down because they anticipate problems with the nest? I have followed Redding Live cam the past 2 seasons now and others. You are exactly right, the Male does help the youngest the most. Last season Redding had a great season with both parents feeding all 3.. Tonight I watched great feeding at Redding with both parents on the nest for way over a hour together, both were feeding the eagletts. Guardian who is the male, did help out E3 alot.
Do you think it could be lack of experience for the parents, or lack of resources? I suppose it could be a whole range of things, but it makes ya wonder why they have had such a problem the past 3 seasons??? I feel bad for Dale Hollow. I am sure they are aware of the pattern too. Everyone would love to see a successful season when there are triplets... I noticed some bonking a few times the past couple days on Redding cam. I could tell even though the eaglets are so young they aren't as sweet as they appear all the time. Nature is nature, but it really is to bad that the last to arrive has to fight so much harder to survive... I am the oldest of 3 girls all of us 2 yrs apart. Watching these siblings do that to each other made me wonder if my youngest sister felt she had to fight to survive.. Haha 😂 Just trying to add a little light hearted humor to this grim story. I am definitely going to be making it a point to watch the live feed as often as I can. I want to observe the nest behaviors now that I know more, with or without chat. I don't chat much anyway, but it's nice to read it and learn from everyone. Dale Hollow needs to at least post updates each day in the description like other cams do. That's probably why I have fizzled out not checking in as often. When trying to follow several Eagle nests it's easy to get mixed up between them if the info never changes in the description. At least for me, who isn't able to be on RUclips every day for hours at a time.. Sometimes reading the description helps trigger my my memory between the lives cams.. If that makes sense.. Anyway sorry this is so long.. The sibling attack made me over think and over talk. Ha.. Birds of all kinds fascinate me.. I could talk and watch there behaviors 24/7 if there was time..when I do have time, I make sure I am not planning on getting nothing else done.. Thanks again for your explanation.
They need to put this one down, something isn't right.
@@twohassles43 Miss Joyce, thank you. 🎯👍🏾 I get so tired of seeing people calling these birds “bullies” and “mean,” oh yeah, can’t forget “mom should not feed the bully so he will learn his lesson.” 🙄 I understand people having empathy for the one struggling, I do too, but I also know and respect that nature isn’t a Disney film and it’s not always going to play out that way. Thank you for bringing some sense into this sea of….. senseless commenters. 🙂
@@justingraham1774 This is very normal behavior for this species when there’s a food shortage. Please do some research on the species you’re making recommendations on..
Thanks for posting your videos, for those of us who like to keep up with the nests.
❤️❤️❤️❤️
I have to say in all the nest cams I've ever viewed this was the first time it seemed to bother momma that baby was getting hurt. She went over and stood over brutus to try and get him off and to stop the attack. That warmed my heart so much. I know these birds do feel but I also understand the raw laws of nature. Just awesome to see though.
She was just trying to shelter them, these majestic birds are unlike the mom dogs that are smart and discipline the ones with the bad or aggressive behaviours.
kenapa ibu burung tdk menghalang anaknya yg tua, memyakiti adiknya..adakah burung tdk ada perasaan?...
😍😍😍😍😍
Food is plentiful in the water, shoreline and on land! The oldest murdered the youngest, Siblicide!
More survival of the fittest.
Any little movement and he attacks both of them That's crazy
No wonder the small one died later on, food came and he just sat there while the others tried to go for it.
The aggression /dominance of E14 is directly related to the food supply. I do see E14 go out of his way to bonk on 15..when he should be satiated with a good meal he just consumed. He eventually grows out of this behavior > but the bully mentality is fierce and unacceptable to view 😔🎀
.
Nature doesn't care if you find it unacceptable.
Why won’t the mother eagle do anything???😳😳
mantap
Nature can be brutal and unforgiving.
I don't know what to say, and I follow alot of live nest cams. Honestly my mind is thinking that the older eagle is just vicious. Even though I know this is how nature works.. I know the strongest is trying to survive but so are the other 2. Both the younger ones are living in fear. The other 2 aren't even near the older one and it's turning around and going after them. I sure wouldn't want to cross paths with that Eaglet! It really seems like it would be alot easier on the whole family to gang up on the older eaglet instead of fighting with the poor little one who isn't any problem at all. In my mind it seems like birds should reverse the way they do things when in a family that's lacking food. It seems like it would be easier to feed the 2 younger then deal with all that from 1 baby. Especially in this case. I love eagles and all birds. But this really puts in perspective how hard it is for some nests. It's hard not to wonder if something isn't wrong with that oldest one. Even though I know there isn't. It's just trying to live. But it sure is making life hard for the entire family. I think the mother seems distressed too. I am sorry these birds are having such a hard time. ❤️🙏
Joyce, I could not agree with you more. I have watched tons of nests all over the country and this is beyond normal. Bonking and some fighting for food is normal and then after a few weeks things tend to settle down and more so once they all grow up and are of equal size. However, in the case here the oldest eaglet is being fed first, which is normal, but instead of eating and getting what it needs it leaves the eating area and goes to the other side of the nest to intentionally attack the others. Completely unprovoked attacks and that leads me to believe the oldest here is poisoned or maybe rabid. I know it won't happen with humans intervening because this probably happens more often than we actually see with tens of thousands of bald eagle nests across the county thatwe do not see, but I am sure if a study or tests were run they would find something seriously infectious and wrong. That older eaglet sadly needs to put down. Something is not right. I'm sorry to say, but this is beyond the norm.
Also, where is the male eagle in all this? Usually from I have seen at other nests to avoid too much fighting both parent's will bring back multiple fish or whatever foods they get their talons on. The NE Fla nest the two were fighting a bit and both parent's make multiple runs and keep it coming. Bald eagles won't nest and raise chicks in places where there is not ample food supply, whether that is fish or other rodents and road kill, squirrels, other birds, ducks, etc.
@@justingraham1774 Yep, i totally agree! Well said! I have been watching closely everyday since E14, killed E16. The older one still is a bully, but seems to submit after it eats first. E15 is learning to wait and is very cautious! I love E15 so much, for going through so much trauma and seems to be learning and finding a way to survive! These 2 should be named Thunder and Lightening! I hope and pray E15 makes it and turns into a big strong Eagle...I think E16 should be called Lightening and #15 is Thunder! Thunder is going to stand up to his big bully sibling one of these days and I will think of him everytime i hear Thunder! I will be watching this live nest cam until the day E15(aka as Thunder to me) fledges! I will be rooting him on! I sure hope it happens after all E15 has lived through. I mostly watched Redding Eagles and still do, but now i am totally hooked on watching Dale Hollow, because I am so rooting for E15! It seems like everyday there is still some sort of scuffle or drama! Never seen a nest anything like this! Seems like so many odds against the nest.
@@twohassles43 the situation is very sad at this nest more so that anywhere else I have watched and I have been watching nests for 4+ years now. I am also not sure where the male eagle is at who usually does the lions share of the hunting while the chicks are young like this. I get the idea that the older eaglets will push and bonk their way to first and then settle down after eating, but many of these attacks are unprovoked while 16 and 15 were on the opposite of the nest during food or even without any food being present to fight over. Again I think 14 is poisoned and something is wrong with it but truth is it is out of our hands and humans can intervene with nature and vice versa. That still doesn't mean I have to or ever will like 14 or wish it well. Because I don't! 🙂
He's just vicious
@@scottgaremko9870 yep, but at least it is waning more now that the younger brother is getting larger and catching up in size. As time wears on probably less and less. Either way this is not a good bird.
There was a food shortage for quite a few days at this nest caused by weather and predators. That's what prompted the viscous attacks--regardless of whether food was on the nest or not. The oldest wanted to eliminate any competition at that point. The little one one (DH16) did die from the attacks. The remaining chicks are now doing well and food is back.
The 2 younger ones need to cut the crap and let the big one get full and eat what it wants!
이걸보고 새들이 싫어졌다 다 성장한 새들은 결국 형제를 죽이고 성체가 된것인가 끔찍하다
ㅠㅠ
Mom needs to grab big eaglet and hold him down for 5 minutes then he would think twice about bullying the others!
a gentle but firm wing slap would be nice.
There are no “ bullies” in the Eagle world. Did you fail to read the title? There’s a food shortage. There’s survival and death. That’s it. Instinctually, as with all birds of prey, the dominant (the strongest, usually the eldest) will dominate the feedings and claim her spot in the pecking order. THIS is how birds of prey are, especially amongst a food shortage. Some people shouldn’t watch wildlife and you Sir, are one of those people.
@@Butterfly-mt5ml It was a joke u idiot and don't try telling me what not to fckn watch! It must suck to be so smart that you end up clueless. This probably went right over the top of ur head also. Lighten up and try to have a little humor. After all it's just a fckn bird nest. Geeeez! You Sir need a valium and a sense of humor.
The bird moms could not think like humans. But I agree with U as this cause.
Please don’t reproduce
Galak ni sama sodaranya...kasian

Just like real life. You gotta stand up for yourself and be brave . otherwise, you don’t even get the bones
A little different in the BOP world. Had the smallest “stood up and was brave,” s//he still wouldn’t of survived. If the strongest osplet doesn’t want the weaker ones to eat, they won’t eat. Especially with a food shortage. Ever hear the term: The strong survive? This is a very true fact with wildlife. The youngest here didn’t have a chance for survival. Nature isn’t just beautiful, it’s a brutal place as well.
@@Butterfly-mt5ml great explanation. 👍
@@Butterfly-mt5mlThese are bald eagles, not ospreys
Thank You. wha??? at 07:35
Poor baby that's terrible
Pequeno el diablo !
LA ÚNICA FORMA DE CONSERVAR LA ESPECIE ES QUE SOBREVIVAN LOS MÁS FUERTES … PRODUCE MOLESTIA LA AGRESIVIDAD CONTRA LOS HERMANOS, PERO ASÍ ES NUESTRA MARAVILLOSA NATURALEZA.
Esse filhote é muito egoísta, quer a comida só pra ele aff😠😞
I just want to remove the big one and give him food aside
Esto aplica para los humanos también.
they also had economic crisis after the pandemic how sad😨
Why mother eagle did not care about super weak eaglets.why it supports again strongest one
Why mom not protect her smallest kid? Where’s her mother love & care?
Mother knows not all will survive, the strongest, the fittist.
Самого агрессивного я бы выкинул из гнезда , я так зол на него 😠
brutal☹️
If there is indeed a food shortage, why hasn't wildlife biologists from the Department of Fish & Wildlife, gone and restock Dale Hollow Lake with fish?
it was temporary, due to weather and predators.
regardless, if there's a drop in population, there's probably a reason for it. sticking a bunch of random fish into a natural lake is not really a good idea.
Wkwkkwsk sadis
😅
Es una realidad ,los animales son muy crueles para sobrevivir ,
I can’t accept this is nature. The little one hatched late. It’s still her chick. He’s just a bully
형제살해를 지켜보는 어미라..저러니 멸종되지
새대가리란 말이 괜히 잇는게 아님
Not food shortage. Just their instinct and personality, survival first, ask questions later. I’ve seen plenty of food, yet rivalry exists.
Not food shortage
Bulling.
Why not throw that bullied eagle off the nest for couple days, I bet that will change the attitude.
👎
Well at least I know what is for supper siblings ala screaming and screaming screaming! Well you ain’t going to need this anymore! Munch Munch Crunch and this ain’t gonna be used again Crunch Crunch Munch and I might as well eat this while I am here slurp chew chew swallow and I will just might as well eat this so you’re screaming don’t bother me when I get to sleep after eating so much!
