  • My third run of this swap meet find. Between this and the first run I have pulled the fuel regulator and cleaned it. I run APC 11x8. OS F plug, and Cool Power 10%

Of course it runs pretty well on 10% nitro, it's a little more finicky to dial in but it works really good, well it's a YS!

I have a ys63, unfortunately haven't run it as much as I would like either. Once that tune is dialed, the throttle response and power is👌

11580 rpm with an 11x8 propeller, which corresponds to a power output of approximately 1000 watts. That is as much power as a 2-stroke methanol engine with this displacement provides, very impressive.

RUns fine, and is a real-world situation. Idle is quite high but what top-end rpm for a four-stroke. That was quite surprising. Thank you for the video.

Despite the odd difficulty with tuning here and there (I suspect the fuel as you rightly mentioned) I'd say that's quite a successful run. Most amazing is the snap-quick throttle response, excellent engine, keep 'em coming David.

Such a cool little piece of art! That rpm is on 2 stroke level.

Sorry, but that "2" identifies a 2 blade prop, NOT a 2 stroke engine...

@@bilbag911 I mean that 4 stroke revs as high as a 2 stroke

Hi David, how would this engine perform with a slightly bigger 12x8 prop ?
my Saito FA62B runs with Coolpower 15% heli fuel 11870 rpm with a APC 11x8, switched to a 12x8 and still 10580 rpm but way better and smoother running ... eeh "Flying" :D
i really appreciate your video's and i'm glad you still share your hobby with us

How many check valves does that one use, I've got to have 2 with my ys 120 !

Only one is required on this per the instruction manual. Should only be one on yours too according to this manual.
