- “India has faced more tensions after recognising Tibet as a part of China,” says Dr Lobsang Sangay, President of the Central Tibetan Administration also known as the Tibetan government-in-exile, in an interview with The Quint’s Jaskirat Singh Bawa.
Amidst the military face-off along the Line of Actual Control which has resulted in the death of 20 Indian Army personnel and an unverified number of PLA casualties on the Chinese side, Sangay invoked the statements and warnings of Indian political leaders like George Fernandes, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel and Deendayal Upadhyaya to caution India about against China’s intentions.

In his 1940s speech , Mao Zadong said "Tibet is the palm of China's right hand" & "Ladakh , Nepal , Sikkim , Bhutan & North East Frontier Agency (Arunachal Pradesh) are the "five fingers of Tibet".
He said it is the responcible of every Chinese citizen to liberate these "five fingers of Tibet" from foreign nations and integrate with China.
China had not officially endorsed this ideology but the recent events seems to prove otherwise. Events such as China claiming Arunachal Pradesh in 2006 , Indian-China standoff at Doklam(Bhutan) in 2017 , Chinese encroachment in to Nepal (2019-20) & India-China skirmish at Galwan Valley on 15th June , 2020 , e.t.c , are proving that Chinese is secretly sticking to Mao Zadong's ideology of "five fingers of Tibet"

Hey there Quint, Devang here I'm an 12th Nios (National Institute Of Open Schooling) student. As I'm seeing in media nowadays everyone is talking about ICSE & CBSE exams cancelled & stuff in News, But what about the students of Nios, which is the largest board after icse, cbse & ssc. Thousands & lakh of students study in Nios & give board exams each year. Nios students got the notice in mid May that exams will happen in July, but as cases are increasing day by day no notice is given to us if exam is going to be cancelled or not or will be postponed.& major problem is that if it gets postponed for 5-6 months will our year get waste or exams gets cancelled,then how will the evaluation will be done? Cause for 10th & 12th boards in Nios there are only final exams. Please help us spread our problems with you news. The Nios comes under HRD ministry & therefore there is no notice from there side too soo please help us cause I think they are going to take exams even in this pandemic.

Because it's long time ago they were a part of india not few years ago. So we don't try to overtake these countries like china is misleading its every neighborhood countries to be it's part (even they never belong to them in the past ,)by putting large chunk of money to them via infrastructure etc. Also we don't want to leave what we have now from Kashmir to Kanyakumari and from Gujrat, rajasthan To arunachal pardesh and other Northeast part of India.

Basically India did not care when China was occupying Tibet. All India did was try to make peace talks happen with them on Tibet issue. But eventually India understood they can't change China's mind. So to save their own ass, Nehru tried to kiss Chinese ass. Tried to show love for China (Hindi-Chini bhai bhai slogans, didn't attend San Francisco meeting for Japan treaty because China wasn't invited).
Eventually India called Tibet part of Chinese empire. And now that India is under attack, India is trying to make strategic moves, like getting hold of the Tibet border. Not a bad move strategically. But it's too late imo. We have adopted friendliness with Chinese for too long. Again, maybe not a bad move..China would be heavy on India.

The Govt of india should hire Northeast army like NSCN,ULFA,ZUF etc and send in all the disputed areas.

He was no where to go and becomes as monk. My respect to King of Sikkim.

I don't know if China expand or not but i know for sure China is building massive infrastructure in its neighbouring countries. And Tibet is just a province of China which people should know. If Tibet wants to be free people in Lhasa and nyingchi has to be on board otherwise its impossible. Normally people don't care about their nationality that much, what people care is quality of life and money. Humans are social animals so people will always change. Best example of that change is Hawaii people and Indians in US. People don't want freedom that much because people know what freedom looks like by looking at Libya. First the Govt said China is enetring our area and we saw the videos of skirmishes and fighting aswel. Now govt says no intrusion ever happened while army said we pushed them back and n the process lost 20 troops.
On the other hand if you see international media and recent satellite images, it shows Chinese are still there and even building proper roads and hospital.
