Never thought I’d say this. But his giddiness for reading is adorable.
God bless you, Mr. Bradbury. The world certainly feels darker than it is without you here.

There's a deep message in "do what you love". Too many people keep pretending they're somebody else, fearing they can't be successful as themselves. They underestimate that they won't get real feedback as long as wearing their masks. Nothing more than frustration is reached in such a way. Inspiring words.

One of the greatest writers of all time! I enjoyed this video so much. I will definitely support public libraries not only to honor the late Ray Bradbury, but it is a great tool to help people expand their minds through so many worlds. A true benefit in helping and rebuilding a great democracy. R. I. P. - Ray Bradbury

41 years old, here. R.B. Has been my hero since I read Fahrenheit 451 in my teen years. I've fallen into his realm of fantasy, Golden Apples of The Sun, The Illustrated Man, The Foghorn, The Veldt. He has fueled my fantasy, and my life. A better hero, I could not imagine. Thank you, Ray, for the motivation.

The man so loved to LIVE! I wish I could learn how to LIVE from him. Every word of his you read springs out at you with delight and gusto and zest (in his words) with gobsmacking joy that they simply exist! Be grateful that you exist! And how do you show that gratefulness? You LIVE! Love and laugh and observe and cherish, it's all so clear in his books. The only thing above all I took away from Fahrenheit and Dandelion and Martian was that you must TREASURE LIFE and genuinely LIVE IT! Don't just exist, bob along in a trance and forget that you have a whole world around you which lives and breathes in tandem with you- truly, genuinely begin to LIVE.
I wish I can one day live like Ray Bradbury.

RUclips has enabled time-travel, so I can go back and visit people like Ray. I am so sorry I never heard his voice or saw a interview with him some thirty years ago when I was reading his books. He is brilliant. The Martian Chronicles invented modern sci-fi, and you can see his influence in the Twilight Zone and Star Trek and I am sure many others. Watching his videos has re-energized myself as a writer. He is inspiration.

Books are like people...some of them teache us...some only tell us anecdots and stories....some gide us and acompaney us playing with imagination and wisdom. If we listened to our intellect we'd never have a love affair. We'd never have a friendship. We'd never go in business because we'd be cynical: "It's gonna go wrong." Or "She's going to hurt me." Or,"I've had a couple of bad love affairs, so therefore . . ." Well, that's nonsense. You're going to miss life. You've got to jump off the cliff all the time and build your wings on the way down.
    Ray Bradbury
This is by far my favorite quote of all time.
