  • Hayley Williams tells the untold, uncensored story of her band Paramore. "If it weren't for writing throughout my teenage years, ... my growth as a human would have been stunted... I've needed all the records that Paramore has ever made, and I think that this one [Petals For Armor] is the most crucial to me, and my mental health as an adult." - Hayley Williams

    You know what's great about this interview? The fact the interviewer isn't over excited and yelling. Too many interviews out there are too hyped and in-your-face to the point it seems forced & fake. This is super pleasant to watch cos you & Hayley are both really chilled just having a conversation. Nice job. :)

    I could only wish that Paramore didn't have so many dark times. It's so hard because you know that all the band members love it but just sometimes things just fall apart and that can end it. I'm so glad Hayley decided to stay and to make that 5th album because it is phenomenal. Paramore has done some great work and I hope for only good things for them.

    • @BehindtheBrand
      @BehindtheBrand  7 лет назад +119

      LadySportStacker Honestly looking at the lyrics from this album, I feel she had some things she had trouble getting out and now that it is, I really think she wants to live her life As a married woman and a normal person. It doesn't seem like she wants to be onstage or even be in this band anymore. There's one song in particular that's a dig at the fans who've said she's saved them from their harder times.

    • @BehindtheBrand

      LadySportStacker On the surface I wouldn't wish bad things on anyone. But the one thing I've learned is that everything counts. If we choose, the trials and adversity can make us stronger and wiser. We don't get to choose our trials but we can choose how to deal with them.

    After seeing SO many paramore/Hayley interviews, I have to say that this is one of the better and more genuine ones. I love seeing the interviews with Zane Lowe, and I think this interviewer holds up to that level of comfortability and genuineness. I wish more interviewers produced this type of vibe and did less reading off of a card. Love this

    I've been watching many interviews with Hayley lately and I think that after her doubting about should Paramore make one more album or not, this is the best possible outcome of doubting that I've ever seen in my life. I'm so impressed and I feel so understood, great job, this band can never dissapoint me. Keep following your gut Hayley, because from what I've seen it has to be followed, and only you can do it.

    What made me a Paramore fan 10 years ago until now is how honest Hayley, and the band, have always been. The lyrics and the Music are real life weather they're talking about love, pain, hate, etc and of course their amazing talent. I'm so glad they kept going for the love of music and fans, this last album sounds different but in a good way, it's an amazing album. I think especially people who are doing something artistic in some way, always have to fight the imposter syndrome and the fear of failure. But failing is seldom as bad as we believe it to be, and the success is oftentimes better than we can anticipate.
