Police cars, fire engines, and an ice cream truck. Impressive catches and nostalgia.

Was this recorded before 9/11 or after ?

@@danieltransit7677 This was right before 9/11 as you can tell that Battalion 7’s old ‘99 GMC Yukon was still intact and still able to serve the city because on the morning of September 11th 2001 Battalion 7 was totaled when the towers collapsed and we lost Steve Belson and Orio Palmer on that horrific day America will never forget

Nice video. Looks pre-911 as well. Interesting to see a blue NYPD car as well as I thought they were all phased out by 2000?

If you watch documentaries or footage of 9/11, some blue cars are seen on the streets. As OrionVIICNG said, they were phased out entirely after 9/11.

Yeah, I since realised that. E65 and B7 seen here were also destroyed on 9/11; B7 being Orio Palmer's car.

0:39 Battalion Seven, manned by Battalion Chief Orio Palmer. He and Fire Marshal Ronald Bucca would climb up the South Tower to the 78th Floor where he would report “two isolated pockets of fire…” and that he and Ladder 15 “should be able to knock it down with two lines.” He would also report “numerous 10-45, Code Ones.” The South Tower would later collapse moments later.
