I had previously thought that Torrevieja was just a collection of soulless urbanisations randomly crammed in without much thought or town planning. I have since learned that those are the places that make up Orihuela Costa, that lies just over the border. After years of avoiding the place Torrevieja is actually a beautiful city in its own right.
I missed out and stand corrected.
