@@tobychristie-johnston6276 it's not Balsa wood (not 100% but pretty sure), it's a softwood definitely but green wood (fresh wood that hasn't dried out yet) is significantly easier to carve.
For those wondering my best guess is that it's made for honey. Those little groups might be for capturing the viscosity of the liquid allowing it to be picked up a lot easier. It also could be a tenderizer but that is a weird shape for one that I've never seen. It also could be just proper shelf filler.

@@giish485 yeah, I have some but they still too young. soon enough it'll be warmer and they be on point. Sugar cane juice with lemon or orange juice is very nice, put some ice in there and your golden in the hot summer
