About the Game:
Star Wars: Battlefront 2 is a 1st/3rd person action-shooter video game published by Electronic Arts and developed by DICE. It was released in 2017 and is a sequel to EA's 2015 Star Wars: Battlefront. Battlefront 2 features both a singleplayer campaign and expansive multiplayer mode.
In the campaign, the story takes place immediately following the events of Return of the Jedi, and follows an imperial elite squad dubbed "Inferno Squad" as they witness and take part in events that culminate to the Battle of Jakku and beyond.
In the multiplayer mode, the game features multiple game modes spanning across many locations seen in the prequel, the Clone Wars, original, and sequel trilogy eras; with modes including Supremacy, Galactic Assault, and Heroes v Villains.
On April 2020, it was announced that DICE, which was responsible for supporting Battlefront II, was moving from the game (as well as from Battlefields 1, 4, and V) to develop Battlefield 2042 and that no new content would be added.
