I used to do all these [i.e. Finding Qtr as per GetDate( ) and then finding out ToDate and FromDate (i.e. Min and Max date) of that Qtr] in MSSQL using CASE stmnts. Looking at how Easy this is in Tableau, Saala sharam aa rahi hai...

Really helpful, very well explained. However can you also show how to do YTD, MTD, QTD for this year and last year. E.g if we select YTD it will show us 2023 sales ( Jan- Aug) and compare it to YTD sales for 2022 (Jan-Aug) ; similarly MTD 1st of July to 12th July, 2023 vs 1st july-12th july 2022?
How if I want the recent date to be the date that I've filtered, Sir? Because I use filter in my worksheet and the WoW based on that filter. Can you help me to do the calculation field for that?
