Greetings from Scotland! My first car at 17yo was a black Anglia 105e 997cc engine. I had so much fun with that car so I bought a 1200cc version which got upgraded to a 1500GT then a 1558 Lotus Twin Cam before I got married and sold it. Handling was SO predictable and so much fun to push up to the limit. I worked at a Main Ford dealers in S. Wales, so parts were easy to get, thankfully. Great memories! Thanks guys!
@@peterhowells7309 nice! That’s an awesome start to your motoring life! They are approved good little motor these man! Thanks for watching and hopefully you enjoy some of the other vids I have up 😎👍
@@dizzy_cap_car_show Thank you, I will!
Mate, I haven't seen a second of this video yet and already I feel compelled to comment before I get into the vid and forget.....
Thats a cracking thumbnail, it's got the inquisitive mug shot, a nice big clear pic of the machine and a hook! Good work!
Arrr thanks dude I was chuffed with the thumbnail! Hope you enjoy the vid when you get to it! 😂👍
That's one lovely 105e beautiful
Arrr mate! What a build! Absolutely love the blue and grey colouring running throughout!
Love it, grew up thrashing theses around with the 1500cc
Brilliant little cars! Bet those are fond memories! 😎
That's a hell of a tool that, credit to the builder 👌🏻
Proper nice ey! 😎
Thank you.
I love car's, especially old ford's ❤😊
Ya they are bloody cool man, great social cars that people from all backgrounds know and remember and there is literally a route for everyone whether it’s factory standard all the way too heavily modified! I love the classic ford scene too!
Was this car bought from Long Stratton, I think this is the car I saw being loaded on to a trailer about 5 years ago, I had to stop and talk to the owner. He told me it was built in the style of a short circuit car, I was blown away by this car at the time. He was taking it to be rolling roaded as he had just fitted the throttle bodies in the dcoe style as the previous webers didnt work on the engine. Fantastic car!
Thanks for this guys, brilliant car, I learned to drive in a standard 105E and seeing this brought back so many memories of that time, well done to Colin on his fabulous car and for the show having him and this amazing vehicle on it for us to see, and hear!
Thanks for checking this vid out, glad you enjoyed it!
This is such a wicked and iconic little car, bet they are fond memories you have!
Awesome video as usual. Will be exciting to follow that car as it gets better and better. Love the sound of the engine.
Thanks for the mention in your outro and description.
Thanks mate! Really enjoyed my day out with Colin, proper ace fella!
Thanks for checking it out and no worries on the shout out! Love your channel and car antic man! 😎👍
Nice !
It is an absolutely Lovely motor this! Load learnt from the filming of this one too 😂 thanks for checking out the video mate. More comin in the new year 😎👍
Yep! Friggin love it. What a beautiful thing. Very nicely proportioned with the arches and such.
Love the straight cut helical cut gears combo, never even thought of this or heard of it before. Very sensible fir motorway noise.
Cracking vid bud good work
It’s a proper machine man, everything is so sorted and thought about!
Thanks for checking it out and glad you enjoyed it! 😎👍
A slight confusion there as it is semi helical on all 5 gears.
@@mikehowell5181 arrr right. The wine is significantly less on 4/5 tho, cracking set up whatever the case 😎👍
Imagine doing all that stellar engineering and paintwork only to COMPLETELY screw up the wheel arch shapes. I cry in darkness and pain
What’s up with the wheel arch shape? I thought they looked spot on myself? Not to out there but gets the car looking all hunkered down and fits the wheels perfectly?
@@dizzy_cap_car_show Well that Anglia was styled by Ford's Elwood Engel, copying the unique wheel arch shapes of the Lincoln Continental and Ford Thunderbird. So swapping those characterful styling features out for tight radius curves like on a Morris Minor or Mini completely goes against all Engel's intended side view design cues. But hey, freedom of expression is important ✌️
@@loopwithers arr fair enough! Well that’s some dam fine information regarding the detail for sure! Interesting choices people make for sure, and as you say each to their own! 😂👍
There is virtually no suspension movement so changing wheel arches is unnecessary.
Wow what a fantastic video mate looking forward to your next video keep going 👍
Arrr thanks dude! Some more awesome cars to show you mate! 😎👍 thanks for checking this one out mate!
What a build this is 😍
That is very cool!!! 😎 colour scheme is beautiful! Incredible build, Colin I have green eyes and they are shining brighter than a traffic light 😂 stunning car bud!!
Awesome content again bud! 💯 agree our classics are her to be used rallying looking forward to the coming events!! 😎👍🏻
It’s a proper weapon man, and as usual with my willing volunteers, Colin is a proper quality fella!
Thanks for checking this one out mate! 😎👍
Absolutely Love the car mate 👌living the dream road legal class 3 👍
I've had every copy of Classic Ford and I've never seen this Anglia featured.
Nice one dude 👌 it will be in there one day I’m sure 😎 what a machine!
Thanks for checking out the video mate 👍
Try March 2019 edition.
Fantastic car
There used to be a jaglia anglia with an xj 6 engin dont know if it still exists.
Arrr man, that must have been insane too! 😎 bet the engine filled the engine bay and foot wells 😂
You're taking a long time to even give us a glimpse of the engine, which is the primary reason that I clicked on this video.
My apologies man! Appreciate your feedback and will take it on board for future videos! 👍
I did also get less footage of the engine than I would have liked! But had a wicked day out chatting to Colin! I hope that came across in the video and that you enjoyed looking around this ace little modified classic ford!
@@dizzy_cap_car_show I did, it's a beauty & well sorted. I believe that most of us that watch these videos, are interested in the details surrounding the modifications, particularly, engine, transmission & suspension. More time in the engine bay would be appreciated. Otherwise, good camera work & good commentary.
@@gary5481 thanks man! I really do appreciate the feedback! Only way I can try improve things for you guys!
Hope the next one is up your street (mk1 escort with a … twist! 😎)
@@dizzy_cap_car_show Excellent choice. I look forward to it.
I had one with a 1500 GT in it best 75 quid I've ever spent back in the 80's its still on the road today apparently although I think the owner would want more than 75 quid lol
I'm building one 😊
Double declutch 1 2 3 gears
Why the sound deadening on the roof?
I’m not sure Now you mention it! 😂 good observation!
Ford Anglia
At the end of the day it's still only a car.
😂 guess so, but then so is a 2001 Hyundai Elantra … I know what I’d prefer 😂 pretty special car tho this; some serious work has gone into this one making it!
thanks for checking out the vid dude! 👍
Это же Запорожец 😅
They are not jenvey they are dcoe Weber?
I built that car from scratch over 18 years and they are Jenvey Heritage throttle bodies. The injectors are hidden inside the carb bodies and the wiring goes in from underneath.
RUINED
Each to their own man, it’s a hell of a project and really nicely done and finished! Beautiful looking car I think! But not for everyone I guess!
@@dizzy_cap_car_show Their
@@bjt107t 😂 nice one! I’m terrible typing too fast and not checking! 👍
