In this video, we take you on a mesmerizing flight like no other. Witness the grandeur of Denali, North America's tallest peak, from above as we fly past it and see it from many different angles before touching down upon the vast Ruth Glacier. It really was hard to comprehend how beautiful it was!
We took the Denali Summit tour with Talkeetna Air Taxi last May and it was a perfectly clear weather day, so we got to fly around the summit of Denali, Mt. Foraker, and Mt. Hunter, and then landed on the Kahiltna Glacier, which is the base camp your pilot referenced. It was cool to see the hikers getting prepared to make the trip to the summit. We also ate at the BrewPub, but the Spinach Bread folks were not open yet. I hope you got to meet Mayor Aurora.

It really is! Such a unique spot
We experienced this flight and glacier this past summer (flying out of the airport north of Denali). Didn't make a snow angel, but did leave my mark on the Ruth Glacier! We were blessed by being able to see Mt Denali 3 of the 4 days we were in the area. It was truly an experience of a lifetime. Didn't get a chance to stop at Wal Mikes.
We took the same flight in 2015 and watching your video makes it seem like just yesterday.

What spectacular views! I visited Denali back in '86 and took the 8 hour bus tour over some hair-raising roads and saw lots of bears, wolves, and moose. To see it all from the air is just mind-boggling! Thanks for sharing your wonderful adventures!😊

Fun fact: Denali is the tallest mountain in the world………much taller than Everest when measured from base to summit, instead of from sea level…I live in Alaska and see Denali a lot and it still blows me away every time…it’s huge
