Tapping Tuna’s Potential in the Solomon Islands -
Managed professionally, the tuna industry has the potential to make a bigger contribution to Solomon Islands’ economy, says Cynthia Wickham, the Fresh and Frozen Manager at National Fisheries Development, a company based in Noro.
To help her country tap into that potential she is using the skills she learned from a Bachelor of Applied Science (Fisheries) at the Australian Maritime College in Hobart, Australia, to manage tuna export to markets around the world.
