This comment is for Ashley Kay. Just because the song doesn't mention Jesus it doesn't mean it doesn't have a God centered message. Each song has a message whether it's good or bad. If you didn't feel moved by song when you heard it then that means its not meant for you but their is someone else who will hear this song and life will be changed. Also a MATURE christian does not judge others or point out their flaws. In the Bible it says remove your log from your own eye before removing your brother's splinter. I think that God can use anything bad or good to reach someone. Even Girls Night Out which by the way is awesome.

I can name a few artists who makes both secular and Christian songs, like Owl City, Hillary Scott, and Stars Go Dim. I've always been told that I can't do both Christian and Non-Christian songs, that I have to choose either/or. But I am heavily inspired by artists that do both Christian and secular songs, so I've decided that I want to do the same thing. I want to make songs about love and dreams and joy, but I also want to make songs about God. So I've been struggling with finding a genre to work with, and now that I've heard about all these great Christian artists who also make secular songs like this one, I feel a little bit more relieved. It's like art. I draw fanart and Christian art. That doesn't make me any less of a Christian, does it?
Noemi Just because you don't make all Christian songs doesn't mean you aren't Christian. Just like whether or not you like certain Disney movies doesn't make you any less of a Disney fan. We have preferences. She is a true Christian and as a human on this earth, you have no right to condemn her for what she does with her own personal life. It truly is up to God in the end. If they are true to Him, they love Him, and they trust Him in all He does, then they will most likely make it into heaven. This does not mean everything you say and do has to relate to God. I mean, it's great to talk about Him, and I like talking about my faith whenever I can, but I still like to watch and make secular movies, such as Disney movies. Disney is my favorite thing on this earth next to Owl City. And yes, I am still a Christian, and I love God and His Son Jesus with all my heart. I mean, RUclips isn't entirely a Christian thing. Most people on here aren't even Christian and I enjoy watching their videos anyway (as long as they aren't inappropriate).

What I believe as a Baptist is that if you are a Christian and you know Jesus in your heart, know that He died on the cross for your sins, and you trust in Him and believe [in] Him, you are set to go to heaven. At least, that's what I remember being taught. Yes, it is true that you shouldn't do a whole bunch of bad stuff like speak with bad language, use God's name in vain, have sex before marriage, stuff like that. But when it all comes down to it, is the music you write/listen to really going to matter when you die? Well, as long as it's appropriate, then no. Yes, I do believe that we should glorify God in every way we can. But doing some secular things and liking secular things is not "following man's way". It just means we're Christians who like some secular things. As long as they're appropriate and don't lead you away from God.

Christian music is very popular here actually. And we have a lot of artists from Brazil who sings Christian music too. Most of us found Britt years ago thanks to the internet. I discovered her music late 2007. Gold and her latest self-titled album are distributed and sold here (and all the others are available digitally too). Many Christians from our country, especially young people, enjoy american CCM. It's not something unusual here. :)

Ok, I've already replied before to another Christian who thinks a Christian artist is obliged to make songs about Christianity, but here we go again. So, according to you, if a Christian artist makes songs about Christianity, they're good Christians, but if they make a song about relaxing or spending time with friends, or a song which is not about Christianity, then they're bad Christians? Wow, just wow. That's like saying if a person reads the Bible, they're good people, but if they read any other book, they're bad people. How open-minded, non-judgemental and accepting are you of other people, like Jesus said. 😒 What a great mindset you have, friend. well, all her past 3 albums were about being fulfilled in Christ and ministering to this generation. However, this 4th album shows a different season of her life. And since the name of her album is "Britt Nicole", I believe this album shows off Britt's heart which is
1. her love and worth in Christ,
2. her marriage with her husband,
3. her kids,
4. her godly friends who build her up,
5. and her passion to reach out and change the world.
I know this album is very different but we have to consider that the title of this album is "Britt Nicole". We're listening to the life and soul of Britt. And what Britt desires of us to receive from this album is to see the hand of God moving through every aspect of her life, especially the 5 that I have mentioned above, and to desire for that same hand of God to move in our lives as well.
Definitely. I personally love this song. Britt Nicole had made generally non-Christian songs in the past, such as Holiday (which this song heavily reminds me of), Like A Star, and Headphones, to name a few. But unlike Owl City, most of Britt's songs are about God or reference God. But most of Owl City's songs consist of generally non-Christian things, like falling in love with a girl, break-ups, depression, some of his many dreams, "Dementia" (feat. Mark Hoppus of Green Day), you know, stuff like that. And I love them all. But his Christian songs are still amazing, like Meteor Shower, Tidal Wave, and especially You're Not Alone. 💕 In fact, I love all of his and Britt's songs, no matter what the genre.

Just because some of her songs are not talking about God directly, doesnt mean that its secular. Her music is still positive, brings about a possible message and a positive influence. Her music is Christian, her music is upbeat, lively and original.
I love most of her songs and albums, and the type and style brings people in to listen, who would rather be adamant to listening to Christian music. But, sometimes she could point to God more often in her songs. If you're giving a platform, use it to its full advantage, a lot of people are hurting deeply and merely hinting about God might not always help point them to the light that heals all wounds. I still love er as an artist, she beautiful and so talented, just talk about God a little more
