Here's my FULL The Last Of Us Episode 4 video and Easter Eggs. Let me know how many you spotted! Here's my Game Of Thrones Jon Snow Sequel video too! ruclips.net/video/NoFsFLF2Hpo/видео.html
Thank for another great video as always Charlie so excited to see Sam, and henry next week 😆.
One thing they haven't really touched upon is how quickly people turn (ed) after consuming the tainted grains. Is it quicker than being bitten?
The song in the end isn’t Mad World it’s actually called True Faith by New Order. Just wanted to correct you.
Joel and Ellie laughing together filled me with so much joy
They'll continue to bond more with each episode!
filled me with so with much joy i startyed crying, haha joy's funny like that huh
Diarrhea is hereditary 😂😂
+1 That scene was my favorite.
ellie's jokes, running down that guy in the truck, and teaching ellie to shoot are right out of the game. Even if it's not in the same context the adaption is great. Really love the show.
It was a great episode!
The scene right after the wreck with the hunters shooting at the truck definitely gave me nostalgia of playing the last of us. And Joel lifting Elle through a window to open a door.
@@emergencyawesome i haven't watched this video yet but ya'll better not be calling stalkers 'shamblers again!...i'm gonna continue to give you a hard time until you get it right dude! 😂👍🏻
Last Of Us part 1 FULL game MOVIE in 4K in only 5hrs on RUclips uploaded by Gamer's Little Playground. Way better than show. Better action, story and characters. *WATCH*
@@REDRUMEDICIUS funnily enough i'm about 40 minutes into that exact video lol i knew the general story of TLOU and the stages of infected etc before the show was released but not much regarding the characters and locations so thought i'd watch the two games as a whole first, loving it so far! 👌🏻
Getting to see Joel and Ellie actually share a moment together at the end was such a joy. I desperately need more moments of them just joking and laughing together like that.
You do realize it's fiction, right?
I think we just need more of that in general everywhere in our stories in real life as we walk by strangers in the street everyone needs to joke around and laugh more for the sake of society
@@nofatchicks2315 you mean its not a documentary?! NOOOO
@@nofatchicks2315 you do realize people can enjoy FICTION as an escape right?
@@nofatchicks2315 no shit asshole. Damn let that man be happy about enjoying this awesome show
I think it's great that Ellie specifically points out that Joel doesn't hear well on his right, and Sam and Henry got the drop on him because end tossed in his sleep and ended up on his left with his right ear exposed
I never played the game but, my oldest son has (he's 25) and we both are watching the show. Its great and every week we call each other after and "compare notes." It's our mother/son "bonding moment" now that he's an adult and it gives us an excuse to call each other. This is a really great show and a great story
No excuse needed, you're mother and son. Ya'll better keep up the weekly Sunday or Monday night update calls after the season ends..
my favorite part of the episode was when joel told ellie that she had woken up early and he told her to go to sleep, but ellie denied it only to fall asleep on the car ride minutes later. definitely one of the more iconic parts from the game
Whats so great about it?
As someone who has never played the game, I came into this with zero expectations or preconceived notions, and I find this show so damn good. So much has been packed into four episodes that the ride so far already feels epic. Each episode has been near-perfect, and the last two are mini masterpieces. I don’t know how intricate the game is, but the tv series genuinely understands the art of storytelling - the actual act of world-building and creating characters that resonate. Can’t say enough good things about it. And I love Pedro and Bella’s chemistry!
Awesome!

Comments like this really need to watch the actual LAST OF US.
@@REDRUMEDICIUS The full “game movie” on YT. Sounds awesome. I’ll check it out. You seem a little bothered, though. Are you not feeling the show?
@@Nightflyer720 when you played the game and watch the show. And not get to hung up all the big actor names and all the hype. You see the show for what it is. Generic. Mediocre. Toned down all round. Watch the game movie by GAMERS LITTLE PLAYGROUND on RUclips and enjoy the true masterpiece THE LAST OF US.
I’ve played the game multiple times and this was another incredible episode that felt like the characters. The diarrhea joke was actually hilarious.
The Diaharrea joke had me laughing so hard 😂
It was a pretty good joke. Pirate walks in a bar with a steering wheel in his pants. Bartender says whats with the steering wheel?" Pirate says rrrrrrr it's driving me nuts."
@@nofatchicks2315 Uncharted 4. Legendary pun
“Just found of that Diarrhea is hereditary.”
I enjoyed seeing the parallel between Joel & Ellie sleeping in the forest, where Joel was too paranoid to sleep and just stood guard for Ellie while she slept.
Then over time as he warms up to her, he feels safe enough to actually fall asleep (and proceeds to be woken up at gunpoint)
It's a combination of Joel knowing Ellie can shoot and him being so exhausted he has to sleep. Not really bc he's comfortable with her
@@Audioobscure more like he thought they were safe that many floors up and he had glass laid out to alert him
Sara Lee (bread company) was the semi truck blocking the tunnel. Just a small nod to contaminated flour being the cause of the outbreak.
Episode 5 is going to be emotionally heartbreaking trust me
Is that when "gamers know what" is gonna happen or the next 2 episodes?
@@kogeraex4425 Too be fair. Gamers know what's gonna happen the whole series but ya next week's episode gonna be a doozy.
Yerp.......that's all I'll say.
@Jonathan Cohoon Just trying to be spoiler safe for people lol. I just remember the outcome, not the build up or events before but I gotta feeling they're gonna change it up for some reason
Not gonna happen. Hollywood won’t kill off poc
I'm so glad they included the magazine part I was afraid they weren't going to include the funniest part in the whole game.

This episode was not as action packed as the rest but it didn't need to be. Because we finally get to see Joel and Ellie start to come together. And then the last minute of the episode when he laughs at her joke. It was such a warm hearted moment you just knew they'd be in trouble almost immediately after and they were in trouble. This show has captivated me from the 1st episode and I barely played the game, maybe 3 times total and never got far at all. Can't wait for episode 5!
I feel it's happening too fast though. I'm not someone who thinks adaptations need to be shot for shot what the original material was I think there needs to be a sweet spot. The Uncharted Film(also a Druckman/naughty dog game) was too far from the material, this has so far been very very faithful I tell my brother the differences after every episode. A lot of the Car scenes are filmed exactly like the game and plenty of the dialogue has been the same just like this episode with the magazine, music tape, Tess "holy shit she's infected!.... show me" it's word for word. But changes like her never meeting Bill and her shooting the guy here imo aren't changes for the better.
When we meet Joel 20yrs later he's very much a piece of shit very morally questionable and he doesn't care for Ellie 1 bit, Tess' death makes him kinda more resistant or resentful towards her as well and even before episode 4 just 1-3 it's shown he's not been all that terrible but he's already warming up to Ellie. Her meeting Bill while quick in the game was important because as their relationship does continue she uses Bill as points like "if you keep on like this Joel you'll end up like Bill" and now that dynamic isn't there. This episode he's all but liking her already with the jokes and whatnot which does not come so early with them, my biggest point, and really the only thing I truly dislike so far as the show is truly great atm is her shooting the guy. In the game THIS is the turning point of their relationship she KILLS the guy it was a big deal and from there on Joel opinion on her being "JUST Cargo" and a child changes because she's taken a life and in his eye's she's in this world fully now. Them making her only wound the guy I didn't like the result was same now he trusts her enough to give her the gun and he's laughing out loud at jokes they've basically become friends already. But it didn't hit as hard her having to take a life to save him as the turning point of their relationship, he's already been liking her well before this point.
Favorite moments were just seeing how much Joel and Ellie's relationship is growing. Between the gun lesson, and the jokes it was good to have some more moments between them. Been looking forward to that a lot. Really loved the last joke the most with Joel finally cracking and laughing with her
The face that the bloater is stuck in a basement ,and trying to burst its way out from the floor is so cool.
Also, Bryan begging, and his death was so morbid damn.
So it was the bloater cool
The “Mom! Mom! Mom!” was tough
Least morbid thing, the shows tame
@@Jc50gt that was so scary fr I was terrified I feel bad for him cause he was really scared for his life
What is a "bloater?"
The disturbance in the basement they teased is probably the bloater and infected from the bottom of the hotel when Joel falls from the elevator shafts and has to work his way back up to the hotel, since they didn’t have the school battle from Bill’s Town in the game and they had the hotel in episode 2 already
I love how they treat the bloater as a settlement-ending threat, it really ups the tension
I'm really excited to see how Henry and Sam background is developed, how will the relationship between Ellie and Sam come to life since Keivonn, the actor who portraits Sam is a Deaf actor. Can't wait to watch the next episode ❤️
its going to be interesting at least, since the in game Sam isn't deaf so I wonder how Ellie is going to communicate with him and how their story would play out.
They're gonna make him gay
@@electrospud9230 exactly 💯
Yeah well they die lol
The beginning of Ellie on the table was another way of her crafting her guns
Then the little sunlight with green grass plus dust molecules straight from the game I love it
The little details of them getting low and ducking behind cover. And the raiders talking trash while trying to flank them is sooooo good.
Also love how Joel boosts her up to crawl through the vent to open the door.
Man this show just gets better and better with every passing episode.
Nah the gay one was the pinnacle😂
How cause last night episode was meh 😅
Fun Fact: One of the voice actor, Jeffrey Piers, which voice of “Tommy” has a cameo on this episode. He’s the guy with a long beard and the guy talking to Kathleen, the leader of the hunters. 🔥
Am I the only one wondering why Kathleen is a leader? She is not charismatic, she is not scary so unless she has knowledge about something...I just don't see how she became a leader
@@YanickaQuilt I would say you're alone for now... We know next to nothing about her so it's a bit early to question her being leader IMO.
One thing we do see, she isn't afraid to do "what needs to be done"... she could simply be "leading" through fear and intimidation
@@YanickaQuilt In the podcast, they mention that the choice of Kathleen was deliberate, intended to make you question it. So looks like they got the response they were looking for.
@@YanickaQuilt according to the podcast. They intentionally casted an actor who you wouldn't think to be the leader. Someone who you wouldn't think to make grand speeches or have a domineering voice.
@@YanickaQuilt She is a bit of a Karen and not really up to the task, wrong priorities it seems. Still blaming the manager aka Henry for everything, but not able to find him lol. First adversary has to be level 1 I guess, next one will smarter I assume.
My favorite part of the scene was when Kathleen asked if one of her men would be able to survive if she had a doctor, and the medic said there's no chance, she walks back to the cell where they kept the doctor and kills him, realizing he's no use anymore and would he had a chance to live, if he was able to help one of her injured men.
@Red Ninja I think it just goes to show how unhinged and vengeful Kathleen’s character is. She cannot be reasoned with.
@Red Ninja Kathleen doesn't care about the future it seems. Only about the here and now - and whatever her crusade against Henry is.
@Red Ninja People don't always do what is the "clever" thing to do. People have emotions and they act on them.
The song during the end credits was not Mad World, it was True Faith by New Order.
When Joel and Ellie shared that laugh it made me smile but also tear up because of what's to come😭
Exactly this😭
Joel trying not to laugh at Ellie’s joke. Hands down the best scene
Another fantastic ep. Pedro and Bella ARE Joel and Ellie. Next episode looks even crazier 💯💯
another Easter egg i noticed is that Ellie notices that Joel is somewhat deaf in his right ear from a gunshot and we see him go to sleep with his left ear up. the next shot we see him where his right ear is facing up and the reason why he couldn't hear Henry and Sam come in
Fav part was not heaving uncontrollable tears while breathlessly sobbing bc I'll never know love like Bill and Frank's until I fell asleep in agony ** 2nd fav part of Ep4 was the night in the woods... Joel conceding to the dad joke, recognizing that Ellie may be tough but she's still young and scared, and then selflessly staying up in the middle of the night to protect her - such a palpable shift from Joel. ** 3rd: You'll shoot your ass off. ** 4th: Ellie asking if he's going to stop for the not-injured decoy and then not GAF when he doesn't (complete change from Ep1)....
Her saying the "you know diarrhea is genetic? It runs in your jeans" 😂 omg such a great moment them laughing together
Really enjoyed the character devoplement in this episode. You can really see Joel becoming more of a father figure to Ellie little by little.
6:15 that theme park is Worlds of Fun in Kansas City Missouri.
They drove past this, drove for hours and hours and hours, slept, drove some more and finally made it to Kansas City...
LOL
FUN FACT: The guy who played Perry in the episode , is tommy from the video game....
Can't wait to see Troy Baker's character in this show, he voiced Joel in the games.
I haven’t played the game (yet) but I know how goated it is and seeing everyone comment how good the adaptation has been makes me happy for all my fellow gamers. I told my dad about the show and we just finished watching all 4 episodes together. Our favorite part was definitely the diarrhea joke we started laughing together with Joel and Ellie :) Im glad my dad enjoys the show with me
I thought Ellie was a little too harsh to Joel in the show until this episode. Nice to see how their relationship is growing. I just wish it were a bit more gory. If you played the game you know it’s brutal.
When she asked "why are the pages stuck together" That line and Joel's reaction almost took me out. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Error in video:
The song during the end credits isn't a cover of "Mad World" originally by Tears for Fears. It was actually a cover of "True Faith" by New Order...
Otherwise, awesome video as always.
The favorite part of the episode Is when she says she is not tired and knocks out then she wakes up and tries to figure out where she is and basically is aware of like how long she was out as well as my favorite part was when he gave her the gun back after she was honest that it wasn’t her first time and her facial expressions to have the gun back was pure joy n she felt trusted
I liked that ellie was asking joel like she needs his answer to rest or to be reassured that shes in good hands.
Great episode starting to see Joel, and Ellie relationship begin. This series has been a pleasant experience so far.
It was so cool to see the voice actor of Tommy in in the game (Jeffrey Pierce) have a role in the show as well. Even though I'm not really excited they put him as the hunter "Perry" but still think their is time for a possible arc in his character where he stops Kathleen from hurting / killing Sam and Henry when they decide to stay behind and help Joel and Ellie escape.
It sounds silly but I am going to cry the hardest when a certain Animal comes out and there is a moment of peace. By far one of the best moments in gaming for me and I am sure the show will nail it
The giraffe you could have said the giraffe 🦒
How Ellie saved Joel from being killed by a hunter, bonding in the car too
In the show, when Joel needs to get into the other room, he shouts to Ellie about moving an obstacle away from the door. In the game it’s the exact same way.
I might be wrong. But the song I heard at the end was a cover of New Order - True Faith during the ending credits. Not Mad world. Any one else agree?
I'm almost positive that the bridge they show them crossing over (with all the sunken river traffic) is supposed to be the Fort Henry bridge in Wheeling, WV. It is on the route that you would go if you were leaving Pittsburgh and heading west on I-70. The river is the Ohio River, which begins in Pittsburgh at the junction of the Allegheny and Monogahela Rivers.
I believe another Easter egg was the military guy with Kathleen was the voice of Tommy in the original game 😄
My favourite moment was when they started laughing, just letting the nerves go and in general bonding
The acting is amazing and everything is above my expectations
The end credits song was not mad world.. It was "True Faith" a New Order cover by Lotte Kestner that was also used in the LOU part 2 cinematic trailer but covered by Ellie. There was also quite a bit of drama regarding that cover when the game came out. So them using her song in the show was very very cool
The part where she cried, but later said how that wasn't her first time made me think that maybe she cried because she thought he could've died if she did nothing and is now starting to care for him.
It also kinda reminded me of that scene in Saving Private Ryan where Upham didn't help his buddy who was fighting an enemy soldier and later died because the enemy overpowered him. Good thing Ellie decided to help.
She cried because she had to kill Riley herself. She was the first one.
interesting episode, I was wondering why they just didn't avoid going into Kansas City at all and just go around it. Especially after seeing that blockade. I know nothing about Henry and Sam (not a gamer and I don't intend to ever be) so thank you for a basic explanation of who they were. It will be interesting to see how Joel and Ellie get out of the city and whether they will be able to use the truck again or if they'll have to get a different vehicle.
Because its an adaptation from a game? What have you been watching.
@@dawncyclist well, duh!
Great episode as usual! i do wish we'd got more flashbacks like the 'Jakarta,Indonesia' scene, i really loved the idea to show different places around the world at the start of the outbreak which we didn't see in the game, you could argue that Bill's episode technically was i guess but i'd love some more scientist and military point of view scenes! and that bloater trying to break out from the ground from this episode has got me so hyped that i might actually wait and binge the remainder when the season's over! 😂👌🏻
was so sure they'd cut Alone and forsaken. So glad they didn't. Hopefully more people will listen to ol' Hank
This episode made me miss my own father. We live apart now but he also taught me how to handle firearms and how to think strategically when it came to safety. He’s also around how old Joel’s supposed to be in the series. I called my dad up after the episode and told him how much I miss him 😢
"Taught me how to handle firearms".. dang.. to grow up in the USA sounds so incredibly messed up from the outside
@@luis15317 My dad’s idea was we live in a country full of these things. I’d rather she know how to handle them 🤷🏻♀️
@rachel Kye well yeah makes sense. Not judging your father because that's the entire societies fault.
Just from places where guns are never seen growing up with those things sounds so terrifying and messed up 😳 good luck that you have never need to use them
I don’t think Joel was ever a Hunter like you said if so I don’t remember him saying that
Love the scene with the last joke that made Joel laugh. Great episode!
Ellie's puns and Perry's hair. Two best things from this episode.
That line about the military built to fight the wrong enemies is so wise. Can't shoot spores, viruses, etc., basically we humans are so dumb to be fighting each other.
I loved the end how Ellie made Joel laugh
I can see it now. Kathleen blinded by vengeance not wanting to deal with the 'floor' is gonna come back & bite her in the ass. We all probably know that the Bloater is under that floor & i can see it being the one to kill Kathleen in episode 5.
And she'll probably die as there's no doctor.
Today's episode is only 40 minutes long unlike last week episode.
The song at the end was True Faith by New Order
Love that New Order song. True Faith song Covered by Lotte Kestner during the end credits
Joel softly smiling and the closing scene on the painted hero mask ? TEARS I am not okay
Joel slowly warming up to Ellie is my favorite moments. So wholesome in a crazy world
Joel laughing with Ellie’s dad jokes. What a sweet scene
Did anybody else think it was funny how Joel gives a lecture on the evils of lighting fires and then it cuts immediatly to the next scene with it being dark and the lamp on?
Everybody is knocking the little bear for her acting I think she is doing a wonderful job.
Man Charlie you forgot to talk about the character working with Kathleen with the long white beard. It’s the voice actor you plays Tommy Joel’s brother in the game!!!
Thank You for making these videos!! I look forward to them every time a new episode of Last of Us comes out!! Love your GOT and HOTD series videos too! This episode was awesome, but nothing beats episode 3
My pleasure!
In the game when u dont immediately kill the last enemy he will try to talk to you just like what bryan did.
Can't wait for episode 5!
I enjoyed this episode so much that I couldn't believe it was over when it ended haha
Thankfully it's on this Friday night because of the Superbowl being on it's regular night.
Little extra Easter egg. I’m from Kansas City and noticed some interesting little things. The amusement park at the beginning is on I 435 just outside (north of downtown Kansas City), but then in the next scene they are looking at the map and Ellie points to where they are at and it looks like she’s pointing to somewhere in Ohio, prior to them arriving in KC at the roadblock on I70 heading into downtown. Also, the view of the amusement park is on the right hand side of the road (view from passenger window) which would mean they were traveling north, away from the city. Just funny little errors. Still loved the episode!
They shot the episodes in Calgary they said it was Kansas City because it was the closest thing to Calgary for looks
@@ryan2985k Right, I heard they chose it due to it looking similar to KC. However the amusement park is Worlds of Fun here in KC and the skyline is out downtown, including the shot of crown center in downtown KC. They did some landmark filming here last year.
My favourite part of the ep is when Ellie finally made Joe laugh openly (even tell a joke!) It's nice to see how he is opening up
Kathleen was the only negative of the show. Probably the actress herself just felt very weak. Unlike Marlene who felt like a leader, Tessa felt like a leader. Kathleen wouldn't be believable as a lead cashier in a grocery store, let alone in a post apocalyptic militia group.
😂😂😂
the moment joel gives ellie the gun thus enforcing that he is ok with her taking lives because she has before
I wonder if we’ll get a flashback of those times when they weren’t doing very nice things…that would be eye opening.
The hunters leaders main henchman was played by Tommy’s voice actor from the game. The guy she finds the bloaters hole with. It’s a nice touch to have some of the actors cameo.
Only complaint is that villain doesn't look intimidating enough to be a leader of the hunters.
That’s what makes her scary. People would estimate her. Like Carol in Walking Dead. Villains, etc always doubted Carol’s power.
Her voice is also annoying
Thank you for your reviews Emergency Awesome! You help me see things that I might have overlooked in some of these shows! Great channel! I am subscribed and I try to like every episode you do.
Glad to hear it!
boy boy the song from last of us 2 at the end wins my heart when the laugh together and he teaches her to shoot
I thought it was a neat detail that it's discovered Joel can't hear great out of his right ear. He falls asleep ON his right ear but must've tossed & turned because when Henry & Sam confront him, he's laying on his left ear. Makes sense that he didn't hear them walking on the glass
Im surprised Charlie didnt mention that the actor Jeffrey Pierce playing Perry in the show was the original voice actor for Tommy in the game ❤❤❤
when ellie opened the adult magazine was hella funny
the last scene where they were bonding was the best.
Dude when they guy was begging for his life at the laundry scene was sad but understanding
20 years without maintenance, you would need a tank to navigate the potholes that would be on the highway
Favorite moment - Joel laughing at Ellie's joke. :D
Favorite moment was when they were going to sleep in the forest and she asked why did the scarecrow get an award and the laughing after.
Kathleen is NOT menacing or intimidating AT ALL! My daughter was like... "I feel like she's gonna help me with SOCIAL STUDIES🙄."
Ellie was using Franks gun, not Bills. Even confirmed in the HBO podcast, just clarifying facts :)
My favorite moment of episode 4 is definitely seeing Joel finally opening up to Ellie by sharing a laugh with her near the end of the episode !
The "smells like burnt shit" line is a reference to dialogue in Part II.
Scarecrow Dad-Joke was the best moment :)
favourite moment when pedro pascal laughs, he is so lovable
My favorite moment was them laughing together
After watching this episode I realized how much The Mandalorian is like The Last of Us. The main character, a lonely beast of a guy, gets tasked with taking someone somewhere for a price and ends up not being able to go through with it because of the relationship they form together. Do you agree??
I'm not so sure she shot the doctor. The first time she is in the cell talking to the doctor, the lights are orientated in different positions than when she actually goes in to shoot him. Maybe she really did shoot him, and it was just an oversight, and I'm reading too much into it. 🤷♂️.
If I had to pick one favorite moment from this great episode. It would be when Joel teaches Ellie how to handle a gun. How excited she got.
