I remember being introduced to The Grounds " Who Will Save The World ? and Hawkwind Space Ritual in 1972, Smoking weed with my best friend at 14 years old. (Best of times) Yes I have all the music created by both and faithfully listen too it all too this very day. 8/20/2020
I was there at the later concert, front row!. Great show, saw them again little later at Dagenham Roundhouse even better. Used to get tickets for the In Concert shows. They was free. Saw Robin Trower, Gentle Giant, Home, Strawbs, Can, Barclay James Harvest. Happy Daze. RIP Tony McPhee.
CHERRY RED - All night long I loved her Morning came too soon I knew she'd be gone by the afternoon I Said please don't go Still she said goodbye But as she turned around she had a crafty look in her eye - And I thought it said 'When the moon rises this evening And you turn on your bed The warmth of my body will beat you Make your blood run cherry red' - All next day I waited for her return But she didn't show The daylight turned to the dark of night I said 'please come soon' Still there was no sign And as the dawn returned that light in her eye was just a lie. - Text by: Tony McPhee.
