So nice to hear you lovely ladies. For me, books are ways to explore the world in directions I would never take in real life. For example, at the onset of the first Outlander book - Clair has a great marriage, a fulfilling career as a nurse and she's happy... and then the author says to herself "Let's mess that up". And Clair goes back in time - where she has no family, no livelihood, her life is in constant danger, and she is forced into a marriage of convenience with a man she has nothing in common with... Later in the book the author makes Clair decide - she can go back to her life from before - a life she was happy with - or stay in her new life. So - this is complete fantasy. But in a real way - this is a dilemma that a soldier coming from the war may face or just someone who went through a life-altering experience without their significant other. Can they go back? So YES there is cheating in the book, strictly speaking, but it is HUMAN, and there's a dilemma and that's what makes it so good!
