Walt Disney's "Highway to Trouble" Season 5 Ep 22

From Season 5 of Walt Disney's Disneyland Anthology program we have Episode 22: Highway to Trouble which originally aired on March 13th, 1959. Donald agrees to take his nephews, Huey, Dewey and Louie to Disneyland, but first, he'd like to teach them a little geography by escorting them on a cross country trip. After some wild adventures around the country, the episode ends with Donald and his nephews enjoying a day at Disneyland; a very nice treatment of the animated characters in live-action Disneyland! Edited out due to by copyright are the following shorts: Lion Around (Walt Disney Treasures DVD: The Chronological Donald Vol. 3), Grand Canyonscope (Disney+), Hockey Champ (Disney+), Sea Scouts (Disney+), Don's Fountain of Youth (Disney+). The connecting segments are a lot of fun, including a great theme song titled, "Geography." One interesting thing to point out, in the beginning of the short, "Grand Canyonscope" (filmed in Cinemascope) Ranger J. Audubon Woodlore asks his tour group to spread out since "this is a large tent." In the original cartoon short, Ranger Woodlore asks them to spread out since the film is in "Cinemascope." Obviously this wasn't the case for the television episode. I've found the animators, in addition to being immensely talented and clever, paid strict attention to detail in creating the animated connecting segments! They are a joy to watch!
