My biggest issue with Top Tier SIM: The maps. Most maps do not have any terrain cover at all or very small at most...the pyreenes map might be fun in SIM but it is not an ET Map :S
The whole Mig29 energy dump thing (Is realistic and is also what mig29s are known for xD) You thought skipping the early F15 and F18 was a good idea? Well now were on the cusp of getting F15s and F18s with 9Ms and soon smokeless lofting aim120s xD
Its only realistic in the event they start pulling the very high AoA they are capable of - like from 50 degrees up to a max reported AoA of around 90-100, something usually only done at airshows doing cobras and stuff - sure its what they are 'known for' but thats just showcasing the peak aerobatic performance of the aircraft and not something which would happen on the regular in normal combat outside of fringe circumstances. Those type of AoA's arent even remotely possible in game rn - mig's are limited to 26 degrees of AoA and about 10-20 more if u turn the stability control system off in sim, so no they absolutely should not be bleeding energy at all close to what is happening rn and it's far from realistic. Inside of these parameters in WT they should have very good retention; dont forget they are still a light aircraft with two extremely powerful engines, even better thrust to weight then f16's and a high lift design - they dont bleed speed like delta wing aircraft until they start hitting those high AoA's.
That's a pretty good summary of current top tier sim, or top tier in general. People don't really climb anymore with the amount of good radar missiles going around, it's much easier to just fly low until you see someone. That's why even before the F-16C was added I was already having more success with the ADF, having 4 of the best IR missiles means more kills than having 2 of the best radar missiles currently. And now the US not only gets the best IR missile in the game, but there's an even bigger gap in performance for them to use it against the MiG-29, I mean what's the point of having a super manoeuvrable dogfight missile if you can't get a launch angle in the first place? Top that off with Gaijin screwing up ACM for the MiG-29 so that now sometimes R-27s can just fly by the target and miss. Every time I want to try playing air top tier with a country that isn't the US I just don't have fun.
Pretty damn accurate take on the current state of things rn. Honestly i rather use SMT over the 9.13 now cause the FM for both is pretty deplorable and sure the SMT is miles worse but at least its got r73's and for now i can do pretty well with them cause people are yet to learn the HOB's threat window so they arent preflaring where they need to yet, so i can win like 80% of fights by using the one energy turn u get and slamming people with the archer in a rear/side aspect before promptly falling out of the sky and barely avoiding pancaking into the deck cause i just lost 800km IAS in like half a second by pulling only 35 or so AoA. But for sure the balance of EC has gone from about 55/45 in favour of Nato team to like 70/30 at least for teams of equal skill - the additon of proper threat ID and extremely favourable flight models along with 9M stealth missile is very hard to beat. Most matches just inevitably end in like 12v2's airfield camps at about twice as fast as before the patch. Hopefully they change the 29 fm back to something more realistic and compeditive and maybe even give russian rwr's their signal strength feature soon to even things up a bit.
@@mamarussellthepie3995 for the early rwr sets that only have 5 sectors for sure, those russian rwrs are all L's compared to western stuff except for the signal strength indicator - thats like the only redeeming feature lmao.
There is control bind called zoom axis air that I use on a small thumb stick now. There is also a control bind in the "common" settings for zoom where the camera will zoom all the way in and all the way out with the press of a button. I use that one a lot for aiming with guns or with searching for targets.
Here is the thing; nobody that was asking for F-16 buffs was asking for the MiG-29 flight model to be changed. The only buff that people were asking for is that Gaijin treat supersonic flight performance consistently among all the planes because the 1.5x performance limit is really important for how planes play and feel in Air RB. Nobody was asking for the MiG-29 FM to fall out of the sky after a single turn.
"Pee pee pee poo poo poo" I agree!

Vietnam is the only good top tier sim map.
@@squishface80085 agreed. And even there the Mountains could be bigger :)

@skilz2kil528 sounds like a skill issue

Ive taken to flying the yak141 and doing funny haha vtol things to counter the 16's
Flying around on the deck with the radar off, launching missiles at the enemy, sounds like me in an F-8 Crusader
I was a fan of your old channel that was deleted and fast forward to present day found you on defyn's server , Make Squishface great again lets go
American Bias gajin strikes again!!! lol good video
Finally the algorithm has blessed me.

Gotta make them only show 5 directions too? XD

Conpletely crazy, clapped, hopped in today on US and found a game that wasnt empty after a few hours. Ez 15-3, it was obnoxious
Nice
how do u set ur cockpit zoom out?

i am actually so mad the usa soyboys cried so much the mig29 had to be butchered lol, i dont mind the f16 buffs but i really mind the mig nerf
