A little while back you did a killer cover on that P-bass. The others sound good, but boy-oh-boy, that Precision has something smooth and full about it.
You should definitely keep the Squier. It looks like you are most comfortable on it. Besides the sound of each basses, your technique on each bass is noticeably different. On Squier, you hold the most consistent note lengths out of the 3 basses. You tend to play staccato on the Guild; you mentioned it inspires you to play more like that but it shouldn't be to the point that it makes you play something without being aware of it. On the Mustang (and to some extend, the Guild), you tend to smack the strings much harder than the Squier making the loud percussive sound which is quite distracting to the whole bass line. Just my 2 cents.
So, I heard the sound comparison without watching and liked the first one the most all the way through. Surprisingly for me, that turned out to be the Guild. The Vincent looks sooo cool, though.
I liked the squire tone all around. Sounded good with the sim without the sim. i did not like the clacky quality of the vincent. I'm sure that could be fixed by adjusting the pickup height slightly though.
They all sound great for different things. The Guild is a little dark through that amp sim - probably what you're looking for as a semi hollow with flats, but I actually like how the top end sounds on it direct. The Mustang is the best all round, but that price! I like that it sounds great in every scenario. In terms of versatility, the P Bass could go with almost anything sound wise.
I have the same fiesta red Squier Precision. This is my favourite instrument despite of having more expensive Fender Ps. I play the Squier with Thomastik Infeld Flats and I replaced the stock pickup for a Seymour Duncan SPB-1. So authentic massive sound/tone not to mention the playability, ergonomics and the cool colour too.. Rock on Jonny! 😃
Guild all the way it’s different and sounds great anyway you put it plus having extra flats around you could always use them in a pinch with any of your p basses.
I like the Vincent the most, the squire is a tough one to get rid off, but like I always say, “ guild, you gotta go”. I’ve actually never said that before the guild sounds amazing but other than your home, would you use it live in your cover band? Will it make you money?
I think you should sell the Squire and the Guild, I really dig the kinda combo of the fender and the semi hollow that the Vincent has and I think overall it sounds the best
They sound pretty similar via my pc speakers, there is a difference but nothing significant. I like the look of the squire and it sounded a teeny bit better in some parts. I think it's down to whichever is nicest to play or unique or in my case, cheapest.
Well, what basses are most of the time unplayed? Or the other way, wich one do you use the most? For me, it would be the squier. A precision can be used most of the times and its just a timeless classic.
On looks alone it has to be the Squier. It reminds me of the first P Bass I had, a1962 model. The previous owner had removed the finish(sacrilege) but you could still see traces of the Fiesta Red when I removed the neck but it was still Fiesta Red in my mind. Why Squier discontinued this colour is a complete mystery to me.
Sound-wise, I'm leaning towards the Guild. They all sound great and quite similar, but the Guild just has a tad bit more punch to my ears. But really, it should come down to which one YOU like the best, which one makes you more excited to play. The fancy one (forgot what it's called) sounds a bit more nasally and is super expensive. The Squier has a classic p with flats character and is an amazing value but I'm not sure it can stack up to basses several times its price in terms of build quality.
Thanks man, you made me get a Paranormal Rascal and it was a great decision, gigging it for the first time this week end and Can't wait, just wanted to show my appreciation :) its a toss up between the Squire and the Vincent for me, some annoying clicks on the Vincent (thats just my taste though) and, I second the notion of a previous opinon, whatever feels best to play!
The Squier gets my vote! A P-bass just always sits, and it looks kinda like the Pino Palladino signature bass, but the affordable version, so why not! The Vincent was too bright for my taste.
If its your only flat wound strung bass go with the Squier P Bass. If you ever find yourself needing to chase an iconic motown/Jamerson vibe you are going to be a lot closer with that rig than anything else. P.S I am incredibly biased in that I only own 2 basses and one is a Fender Precision with Rounds and Squier Classic P 60s with Flats.
From the way your body moves while you're playing the basses, looks like you loves to play the vincent more than 2 others.. see it yourself 🙋❤️.. keep the vincent 👌
Personally I prefer the Squier or the Guild over the Vincent. I feel like the Squier and the Guild have pretty similar sounds, but the Guild has more high mids. If you enjoy playing the Squier more keep it. If the more unique sound of the Guild is something you really like to have keep it.
I liked the Vincent until you took the amp sim off. Then there was a very hard to ignore percussive sound after each pluck and it took the joy away from that great tone. If that’s fixable the Vincent would get my vote. If not the Squier would be my next choice.
I like the vincent sound..... but overall the Squier sounds better in the classic P mood :) Could be interesting to hear the Vincent on slap.... she should kick...
The Classic Vibe P-Bass Fiesta Red in Italy is considered the Holy Grail of Squier basses 😅, if you can find one in good conditions, the price is near 800 euros... CRAZY!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
and why is there so much "clacking" of the string with the Musicmaster? It's got many cool specs but that doesn't always make it better than a mass produced and machine made product ...
my experience with a Mustang: played on a rehearsel with a rock cover band: way more easy to hear what I was playing, compared to my jazz bass. (and now I understand why Bill Wyman always played a short scale with the Stones ...) I also play with jazz musicians and use a P with flats or nylon tapes for that style: sometimes the Mustang is nice for jazz and sometimes (when playing with an acoustic piano) it doesn't work at all (to much lows and the wrong kind of mids because of the only 30" scale), when playing jazz: the P just always works! (and I don't wanna take two basses with me ...)
They all sound like a bass and good so get rid of the most expensive or if you had to keep the other two, the least inspiring i would say. Or whichever plays worst.
Keep the Squier. The Guild having a unique sound potentially limits its usage and the awkward ergonomics just adds to the argument for moving it on. You don’t own the Vincent, so that’s going back anyway (nice bass nonetheless).
I'd definitely keep the Guild. I'm a huge Precision bass fan but that Squier just misses the mark for me tonally. It just didn't inspire me in the way that the Guild and Mustang bass did. Sell the Squier!
Keep the Squier - “I really like playing it” - keep the bass(es) you like playing and you’ll keep playing bass 👍
Excellent point
Absolutely Squier😁
I think you gotta keep the Squier. The Classic Vibes are great, and the red one looks so cool and it’s kinda hard to find these days
Very rare!
Keep the Squier! To me the Mustang JMJ is the best you can get for your money on short scale
That Vincent bass is amazing. First time I hear about them.
Yes! Really enjoyed having this one around. Definitely check out their website, you can configure the basses yourself 😊
Keep the Squier! It sounds amazing and looks good in your hands (that’s important as well!!)
A little while back you did a killer cover on that P-bass. The others sound good, but boy-oh-boy, that Precision has something smooth and full about it.

I know rite me too! I was making a pizza the guild sounds soo good!
I’d keep the Squire, partly for the 34” scale.
I do love a short scale though
Absolutely fantastic have a wonderful weekend ❤😊
I liked the squire tone all around. Sounded good with the sim without the sim. i did not like the clacky quality of the vincent. I'm sure that could be fixed by adjusting the pickup height slightly though.

I'd keep the Vincent Pony. Great planky tone, it sits so well yet cuts in the mix amazingly
Guild all the way it’s different and sounds great anyway you put it plus having extra flats around you could always use them in a pinch with any of your p basses.
The Guild sounds killer!
I’m going to vote for you to keep the guild. Reason: the tone is so good.
Pony sounds nice, but the Squier is a keeper and is more practical. Especially if you say enjoy playing it. Plus, hard color to find now.
That Guild is so nice, hope they reissue it soon.
I don't usally like shortscale basses but the Vincent Pony, sounds killer! Anyways, i also love the Squier great tone too.
for me, it'd the guild, sounds great and looks different
Jonny, there's little to choose between them sonically (I listened with my eyes shut,) keep the one you like best.
I haven't watched the video yet, but the stuff squier is making now will be highly requested in the future, mark my words😂
I like the Vincent the most, the squire is a tough one to get rid off, but like I always say, “ guild, you gotta go”. I’ve actually never said that before the guild sounds amazing but other than your home, would you use it live in your cover band? Will it make you money?
The guild sounds the most unique. I like it best.
The Guild sounds really amazing (surprisingly?) even the Vincent one looks fire
Vincent Pony. The only thing I didn't like was the fret noise, but the overrall tone was the best imo
Keep the Squier it sound great in all the demoes you made
Well, what basses are most of the time unplayed? Or the other way, wich one do you use the most?

Amazing!! Tbh I’d really like to get a Rascal again. Phenomenal bass!!
Keep the Guild. That thing cuts through really well direct and with amp sim.
my favorite was the red squier
Hey Jonny how’s goin mate? 🤘🏼
If you’re asking my opinion Guild M85 is the keeper. That have a really unique sound, love it…
I would go for the vincent poni bass, no question. And i am a big fender fan😂
The Guild has a nice punch to the sound though it is the thicker body.
The Squier gets my vote! A P-bass just always sits, and it looks kinda like the Pino Palladino signature bass, but the affordable version, so why not! The Vincent was too bright for my taste.
The Squier looks the best, but the Guild has an amazing sound.
Keep the Guild. It's cool and different and you'll never find another
Please demo this beautiful Vintage Supreme Bass I can see behind you!! 😁 Cheers from France.
If its your only flat wound strung bass go with the Squier P Bass. If you ever find yourself needing to chase an iconic motown/Jamerson vibe you are going to be a lot closer with that rig than anything else.
P.S I am incredibly biased in that I only own 2 basses and one is a Fender Precision with Rounds and Squier Classic P 60s with Flats.

sound wise guild
looks wise vincent, doesn' sound too bad as well
The Guild sounded the best, but I know I wouldn’t enjoy playing it with that thick body with sharp edges. I think I would keep the P bass.
Keep the one you always pick up because you just love playing it.
Definitely keep the Squier CV P Bass
It IS killer
Squier for me.
But Guild sounds amazing!
Keep the Squier - (Only reason is, it was mine and I like to see it)
Keep the Squier 100%
Which one did you keep?
You should call the Vincent Pony "November"
I liked the Vincent until you took the amp sim off. Then there was a very hard to ignore percussive sound after each pluck and it took the joy away from that great tone. If that’s fixable the Vincent would get my vote. If not the Squier would be my next choice.
I like the Vincent best. I'm going by tone and sound, not looks or price.
I like the guild and vincent
The Squier precision is the best. But for this reason probably this one is the easiest to sell.
Squier sounds so good
I like the vincent sound..... but overall the Squier sounds better in the classic P mood :) Could be interesting to hear the Vincent on slap.... she should kick...
Definitely sell the Squier....
To me? 🤔
keep the P bass and the Mustang in my opinion :)
Keep the squier and vincent!
The Classic Vibe P-Bass Fiesta Red in Italy is considered the Holy Grail of Squier basses 😅, if you can find one in good conditions, the price is near 800 euros... CRAZY!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Squier oddly sounds the best!
Keep the P Bass, then Guild with Vincent in last place
The Squier.
Id suggest that you get Ibanez
KEEP THE GUILD!!
Keep the Vincent!!!!!
Keep the Squier. It was the most balanced! Furthermore it's Pino Palladino's look! hehehehe
Short scales are cool but compared to a 34": Leo experimented with all kind of scale lenghts and I think you can hear why he made 34 the standard ...
and why is there so much "clacking" of the string with the Musicmaster? It's got many cool specs but that doesn't always make it better than a mass produced and machine made product ...

They all sound like a bass and good so get rid of the most expensive or if you had to keep the other two, the least inspiring i would say. Or whichever plays worst.
Keep the one that isn't easily replaceable.
Keep the Pbass. I listened with my eyes closed. The Pbass regardless of price sounds the best.
The Squier keep and send me the Guild😊
Keep the Squier.
Can I please have the Vincent? Pretty please?
Mustang😍
Keep the Squier. The Guild having a unique sound potentially limits its usage and the awkward ergonomics just adds to the argument for moving it on. You don’t own the Vincent, so that’s going back anyway (nice bass nonetheless).
You should definitely sell that Squier (…to meeee)
Squier or Guild, I think the mustang is too hot, it either has tone or no tone. Personally the P and Guild have a lot to offer imo
With flats gotta keep the P bass
Squier. I’ve made the mistake of selling it for me to buy it back a year later 😂
I'd definitely keep the Guild. I'm a huge Precision bass fan but that Squier just misses the mark for me tonally. It just didn't inspire me in the way that the Guild and Mustang bass did. Sell the Squier!
Keep the Squire and send me the Guild! ;-)
Squire all the way!
Keep the Guild.
Too many sound artefacts on the Vincent. Guild too little hollow body sound. I would keep the Squier.
Squier all the way
Vincent Pony 100%
nothing beats the P 😎
Squier wins in my ears and eyes! 😁
How about your nose?
@@JonnyDibble I'd have to conduct an on-site examination for that one! 👃
Mustang
Don't be silly, keep that guild
Squier.
I'd say Vincent, but it feels crazy overpriced for the tiny edge it has over the rest.
Take PONYYYYYYY
Keep the Guild ... a lot of personality , something different ...
