Edit Jan 2024: I'm still relatively new to the game and currently in that early phase Mason talks about on just taking everything in for 3-4 months. Needless to say I've consumed so much RUclips, podcasts, books etc. This is undoubtedly one of the best videos I've seen for beginners just getting started. That first client's coming soon Mason.
Edit March 2024: No first client yet. Went down another rabbit hole and learned more things that’ll help with copy. Shoutout to Daniel Throssell. Set up a site and been practicing daily writing. Note to newbies, you NEED to write and practice just as much as you outreach, if not more. Get good first, then prospects will come easier. Also been subbing to lots and lots of lists, studying ways to improve, and lessons to apply to others. About to do some sniper outreach. Honestly doing too much productive procrastination. It’s been about 6-9 months of just soaking up information even before I made the initial comment. There’s only so much you can be prepared for. Just gotta do. Wish me luck boys.

My problem with this style of copywriting is I’ve seen it for 10+ years and whenever I see that setup (first name > relatable story > offer) I stop reading and delete the email because I don’t want to buy anything.

This is actually possible, it's doable. It's not meant to be easy, as nothing that worth it is. The few people that take it seriously are going to get there, soon or later.

1. I don't know what to do, where to go and how to get clients as a beginner. This is killing me

2) He answers it as well. Just sign up to the list of people you already know, and try making them an email. You don't need to show them/send them the emails.

So what do copywriters do for the business that is their client? What do they write emails about? Are they advertising to others through emails?
Its basically marketing. You're making that company's product or service more appealing making the consumer think it's a worthwhile investment. In this case, copywriting is involved in "outreach" which sells the product/service to whats called a "target market" or a specific group of potential buyers letting them know its both available and worthwhile. Before getting into copywriting I'd suggest getting basic marketing under your belt to make finding prospects easier and giving yourself more knowledge to work with and enhance the quality of your work.

If you do the inner circle one I’m telling you it’s all ass. He barely does coaching calls and also they said that you’ll have one on one coaching which is also not true. Ik people in their that have not even got a clients for 5 months. And so much goes into it. He just markets it very well

This is the reason why I stopped studying copywriting in the past, because I was being taught manipulative methods like this by my mentors but can anyone who works as a copywriter (and please no comments unless you had an extensive career or are working in the copywriting industry now) please let me know, is copywriting always this manipulative? Also, manipulation isn't necessary when the products/services are really good; the products/services sell themselves due to being high-quality. I understand copy is necessary to at the very least communicate what the product/service is and who its for but are there jobs for somewhat honest copy writers out there, are there ways of writing copy without manipulation or is this just 'how it is' in the industry?

The information presented here is pretty basic and makes the learning process seem too quick and easy. But in essence this video is just a sales letter touting this kid's course/program/whatever and it's pitched primarily to teenagers. Keep in mind that on RUclips anyone can claim to be anything. There's zero proof that Mason is making money from copywriting for legitimate businesses (i.e., not other internet hustlers selling dreams), much less that he (or his supposed team) is capable of teaching.
Well said im glad to finially find someone with some common sense here because i said the same thing. He doesnt give examples of where to find prospects nor does he mention that the heads of most intermediate businesses don't answer their own emails and that theyd be sent directly to HR or their marketing department. He'd be better off teaching a bare bones version of marketing.

It is. Start with learning how to better yourself in AIDA and PAS and the more you study and play with words and vocabulary and communication eventually You're gonna get where you need to be

You need a client. If you already have a client you got paid before with a payment method like paypal, stripe, etc.
