The music brings tears and a loneliness. Have no idea why with exception my grandfather Drowned at Sea July 20, 1943 James A Hall, Hull Bay, Massachusetts nighttime with Crew in Storm. RIP Sir, Captain Hall. Skipper of the ship
The Sarah Davis took a pounding from the waves that day heading out of ardglass but took it all in her stride and the music in video brilliant belfast northern ireland
Great shots of the boat thank you, soundtrack was awesome I love that particular one!! What I found stunning was the engine power as it rounded the harbour head into full wave on slaught, then the engines were gunned and it seemed to just plough through like they weren’t there!!! Do you have any information on how big they are what make etc etc...??? Cheers Andy in Nottingham
Are these single or twin screw vessels? I would hesitate to sail in those waters, with only one diesel. If it fails, you are in real trouble, real fast.
Was Ardkinglas sold to an Irishman like the old man wanted? He made that Oyster bussiness keeping Ardglas alive, you knoe that. He was a good ole' man. Many folks asking the name of the "Nostalgic" music playing in this vid. Many be askin'!!
plates are the steel skin, they should flow, we call it FARE, this lil ship could be aptly named Rumplesteelskin, looks like was built by an engineering Co with zero shipbuilding experience Josaphine www.shipsnostalgia.com/showthread.php?t=2460

Good footage, but video would have been better with just the ambient sound (waves). The sound track killed it for me.
