I've watched Adam for like 7 or 8 years and this was quite possibly the simplest vlog he's produced since changing the format. I had higher expectations when covering subject matter such as this. I'm not into the gore or anything like that but he could have showed so much more. I've followed the WM3 myself for 20 years and have personally got to know Damien in the process. I wish Adam would have at least showed the memorial at the kids' elementary school playground, maybe even drive past the trailer park Damien lived in, etc... I mean no disrespect to Adam or anyone else with this post.

APT420 agree. I am from norway and I do not know this history. Were they killed or did the drown? I can not be bothered watching as I did not get the story. Justin Scared always tells the story first.....

I like to look at Adam's vlogs as a glimpse into some of the places the average person or non-traveler would want to know something about. I don't expect him to hit every note or cover every detail. He isn't an investigative reporter making money for these excursions. I appreciate what he did show, and I thank him for it.

    • @LordanARTS
      @LordanARTS 7 лет назад +15

Well handled Adam. I really appreciate the respect you gave this topic. There's plenty of RUclipsrs who would push for sensationalizing or telling a spooky story around events like this, and I find that very inappropriate. Nice work man.

As a mom, I do not want to even imagine the depth and agony of that level of loss. May God continue to comfort the families involved and in His perfect timing, reveal the truth of what happened. God bless you as well, Adam - for being willing to step out of the comfort of your typical humor to pay your respects to these boys. You're good people, brother - and Lord knows we need more like you in this world.

Ruthy D ---- I couldn't agree with you more!! Adam is such a wonderful and caring person. His video's bring out both the good and bad sides of life. I do know that Christopher Byers' dad has since passed away and Stevie Branches' mother and step dad have divorced, not sure about Michael Moores' family but I sincerely do hope and pray that everyone is doing fine and well after this horrific tragedy almost 24 years ago. =(

I grew up in West Memphis, but I left the City 15 years before this happened. Robin Hood Hills was the local hangout for lots of kids, from age 8 to about 16. We would ride our bikes and dirt bikes around the trails and up and down the hills. There could be minor skirmishes between kids from time to time, but mostly everyone got along and just had fun. The day those three boys were killed forever changed West Memphis. Due to the heinous crime going unsolved, the city has no closure so it's hard to put this behind them. As this crime will never likely be solved, the city will never return to the place I remember it being as a child.

I enjoyed the somber tone. It was a nice change of pace. It's shows you can handle these subjects with the grace they deserve. I hope you get a chance to visit the Civil Rights Museum in Memphis. That is one of the most somber places I have ever experienced. Memphis also had a Theme Park called Liberty Land which closed due to financial reasons. It's now a 18 hole disc golf course according to Wikipedia.

With all due respect and appreciation for your earnest attempt to keep this neutral I don't think it's too biased to mention that the 3 had the fingers pointed at them mostly for the way they dressed and lived, that is not really speculation. Also it is important to note that the 3 were released from prison as it became more likely that they would be cleared, again not speculated, but the state moved to have them released under the terms that the convictions were not vacated so they couldn't sue the system for wrongful imprisonment.
    Good job on the video.

Showing us the bad as well as the good can make us grateful to be alive , and to be careful at any age , in this world we all share. It pains me to think what these kids went through---I am sure the place where the murders happened (as well as other murder scenes ) holds a dark feeling --a deep sense of sadness. These kids should be remembered , and not only for the way they died, but who they were in life--- and may God watch over all our children. Thank you for being real Adam---and as always, You be careful out there will you ? ---Deanna

After watching, I thought this was an excellent video, and it was well done. I have my own opinions about the case, but I'll keep them to myself. I think videos like this should be made, as it is part of history. Dark history, but history just the same. Good job Adam. Be safe out there man.

I was there just last month. Totally surreal. I know that feeling you described. Great video by the way. Thank you.

I also hope that the fact that you are in West Memphis does not mean the Arkansas trip is over.... I was so hoping you would go north to my home part of the state.... was really looking forward to that.... maybe exploring the old Dogpatch area... the home of Kick A Poo Joy Juice lol.... my home town of Harrison has a lot of interesting history.... a lot of bad history, but history none the less, but you would REALLY REALLY REALLY love the Eureka Springs area.... so up your alley! Please don't say goodbye to Arkansas yet.... the Grand Old Lady still has a lot to share with folks... and truthfully, Arkansas doesn't get that much attention... at least GOOD attention like you bring!

LadyDragonsblood I'm hoping he will catch us here in North Arkansas on his journeys eventually. Also Fayetteville!! I have a feeling he's not done with Arkansas yet. We shall see him again someday. Until then, safe travels wherever you may be!!!

Yeah but I want more now (stomps feet and pouts).... (hey I may bee 54 but I throw a temper tantrum with the best) LOLOLOLOL..... I do hope he will come back and do the north... my stomping grounds.... but still it was good to see all the places he went... because I have been to all of them at one time or another.

It was a terrible time in Memphis/West Memphis, and still in the memory of so many. Very respectful Adam. Welcome to my city! If you need a guide just holler!

I'm not sure how many of your fans remember the Adam Walsh case back in 1981. I lived with my two teenage sons not far from the Sears Store where Adam was taken. While I had to work to pay the bills I would call home every 15 mins to make sure they were safe.
I love your vlogs Adam. Please Take care during the storm.

Dang Adam, that was good. I never heard of this case, but I did a bit of Googling and what I saw was awful. I appreciate how you cover so many subjects, good, bad and everything in between. You are truly an amazing person and this vlog proves why so many people follow you, buddy. Hope all went well with the storm. God bless.

Really good vlog today Adam, it's interesting to see how everything looks now compared to 93 when it happened.

West Memphis city officials knew exactly who was guilty of the rapes and murders. They chose to cover up the crimes! West Memphis is an evil city.

It surprises me that Adam couldn't find some kind of memorial at the site of where the 3 boys were murdered.

Let's not assume that Adam couldn't find a memorial site. Apparently there is a memorial at the school, but Adam isn't required to satisfy every viewer's whim. I appreciate the great effort he puts forth to bring us the information he is able to bring. I have nothing but respect for the guy, and it saddens me that some people (not you, John) are being extremely rude with their comments.

Adam commented on another post that there is a memorial at the school, however it is an elementary school and was in session so he was not comfortable wandering around on the property. However if you are ever in the area, feel free to see it for yourself.
