There are not enough edits about the relationship between Chuck and Jimmy and I think that's a damn shame. This show holds a place in my heart because it was like a wake-up call for me to try and recognize resentments and issues in my broken relationship with my own sister. It was incredibly realistic and incredibly well written.
The two brothers that accidentally caused an entire meth empire and the deaths of so many innocents. All because they couldn't communicate to each other properly. Powerful.
I come back to this edit every now and then because it’s just so perfect. Better Call Saul is my favorite show, the relationship between Chuck and Jimmy is such an integral part of it and continues to be after Chuck’s death. This edit is a masterpiece of it own. The scenes you’ve chosen and your presentation of them encapsulates the strained relationship they have so perfectly. You picked up on all the subtlety and nuance in the writing and transformed it into a beautiful message. Excellent work, this is art.
it will take me a while to see such a well written relationship in media ever again. I don't know if I will ever see, honestly. it sounds so natural. As a middle child whit a lot of troubles with both my brothers, I constantly identifies with both these characters. All the details and nuances in those two men, holy mother of god. Jimmy will never understand why Chuck felt jealous of him and his social habilities, will never know that their mother died calling for the younger sibling, that Chuck's ex wife thought Jimmy was funnier than him, that no matter how much Chuck tried he could never be what his brother was: a charmer. the same way Chuck will never know the amount of respect Jimmy had for him, the absolute effort Jimmy put in changing himself and being honest just to be throw into the ground by people that didn't trust him. Will never know the pain that jimmy felt with the last dialogue between the two of them and, lastly, will never even imagine the amount of good Saul was trying to make to people all over the series even if sometimes he would win nothing out of it. a true tragedy. gives me shivers to think about it
I think the difference is that one of them had a heart big enough to actually be happy/proud for another, while the other was just too small/petty in this sense. You can even envy someone and still be happy for them. Objectively speaking Jimmy had a lot more to be jealous of (and Chuck deservedly to be proud of, he was hard worker and great lawyer, so his success was well earned). Of course this being a well written show Chuck tried to subdue this feeling, find justifications for it, can't quite admit it even to himself... Sad thing is he could love Jimmy if he were in the gutter, but not seeing him on the same level as himself... Big brain and small heart.
The tragic tale of two brothers that so desperately wanted to love each other, but ended up resenting each other. Both of them correct and wrong about the other. This is golden pain drama. Brilliant writing. Chuck is a great lawyer, and Jimmy's nature has him always wanting to become slipp'n Jimmy. BUT Jimmy WAS trying to change, he was honestly wanting to be a lawyer and Chuck just couldn't see past his slipp'n Jimmy days and held him back. And the harder it got for Jimmy, the more he'd become slipp'n Jimmy. It's just an endless cycle.
This is unbelievably good. Wow. It's so moving. BCS is one of the best, if not the best, shows of all time, and Jimmy and Chuck's relationship is just gut-wrenching. Great job with this edit. It deserves WAY more views.
wonderful! Also, a credit for making a video of one of the less popular and "obvious" characters. BCS creators are great at developing interesting, complicated and less obvious dynamics between two men (like with Walt and Jessie)
I've finished rewatching season 4 today and I just had to see if someone made tributes to these two. There aren't many. This was beautifully done. You know, my first time watching BCS was similar to yours in regards to Chuck's charactet and while I still can't say I like him I do appreciate the character more now. And the karaoke scene plus the moment when they are in the bed hit me harder than in my previous rewatch and first watch. The song "Winner" speaks about their relationship greatly (the " I was in your arms. Thinking I belonged there" line and "And someone way down here loses someone dear" line are the ones that hit me the most) The karaoke scene plus the subsuquent moment they sing in the bed is one of the most depressing, wholesome and beautiful moments in both Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. You made them justice with this video. Very well edited.
Thank you so much! It's not my most popular video (by far) but it's honestly my favorite one to this day because I've never watched a better show when it comes to realistic relationships between characters and I really wanted to portray that with this video. I just had to include the karaoke part without doing too much editing there because it was already perfect the way it was and showed us a different side to Jimmy and Chuck's relationship and that none of them is entirely good or bad and that they do care for each other. I feel like Chuck is often overlooked and branded as the "mean older brother". I guess to him it always felt unfair that he had to work hard for his job while Jimmy was able to walk down the easy and carefree path, being able to mess up again and again with no real consequences while also being the younger brother and their mother's favorite. I'm sorry I'm rambling at this point😅
@@CarolP. No need to apologize for rambling. I get you. And yes, quiete the messy relationship those two have. The stuff with Mike, Gus, Nacho and Lalo is great but BCS is at it's core the tragedy of two brothers. I'm kinda hoping for another flashback with Chuck in the final episode of the show but I don't know if they'll do that since this great flashback with the singing feels like the perfect farewell for Chuck's character. Have you started season 6?

Isabela Vitória Thank you! I wish i could help you out but I’m not sure why RUclips would block them. I can’t monetise my edits because the music gets copyrighted so maybe it’s something similar or maybe it depends on the country you live in.

I don't understand why Jimmy didn't care when his brother died. Is it because Jimmy was happy he can let the Saul run loose now ones Chuck was dead and Chuck wasn't holding him back anymore?

Probably one of the best written ,real brother relationship/Rivalry. Great acting Just takes it over the top.

@Inland Empire amazing
One thing i dont understand chuck isnt sensitive to electricity now?!?
@@umairwaseem882 Yes, but actually no. It’s seems to be provoked by Jimmy’s actions throughout the show, which indicates it’s psychosomatic

@@reginalannister2262 ironically enough that's what Jimmy becomes. A smart man with a small moral compass.
