48:11 "I don't understand how Hail The Sun doesn't have more recognition-"
You can't even state that enough. I know I'm an initiated fanboy- but it's crazy how they're not blowing up at least somewhat close to the way Dance Gavin Dance goes. And I know DGD has been around way longer. But HTS is in their own world with the amount of instrumental technical innovation they pull off with every album. Then on top of that, Donovan can play the drums while singing these songs...
I'm blown away every time. So many people are sleeping on these guys. 🤘

I was sleeping on them for a while, so I get it but generally it just shocks me because their songwriting is unparalleled. I've loved DGD for well over a decade now and wish HtS was in the same league fanbase wise cause they really deserve it.
      Thanks for watching! 😊

Thinking of DGD as older than HTS is so weird to me cause they really have been around for more or less the same time. Ive been listening to both for like half my life and they both really hit their stride as bands around the late 00s/early 10s. I think the only reason people sleep on HTS is cause very few people seem to stumble onto their music by themselves. Everyone ik who's become a fan heard about them through word of mouth, including me, and Donovan even commented about that when I saw them on tour recently. I guess DGD just gets recommended to people more on Spotify or something. It's a shame cause HTS straight up haven't missed in more than a decade and I think they deserve way more love than they already get.

After letting this album sink my top three have got to be
    Tithe
    The story writes itself
    60-minute session blocks
I love the song writing and vocals so much in this album!! And I'm glad you take your time to appreciate everything about the songs so honestly I have to say this was a top-tier reaction🙏
Also I hate to admit it but 29:07 was like exactly what I was thinking😭

Thanks for watching! I was worried I spent too much time replaying parts but it's just how I absorb music LOL
Your first two are my most listened to right now. I'm loving the variety in sound, they really killed this release.
There is nothing wrong with sounding like an anime intro, by the way! 😂😂

I like what you said about how HTS songs are quite layered & so much space is filled (with such great sound!).
You might like a band called Hanabie. They're quite unique! Imo, they do a spectacular job layering their sound while incorporating so many interesting elements and filling so much space. Absolutely love bands that can pull this type of thing off.

Any band who can blast your brain with so many different things at the same time and still manage to find a cohesive thread, I'm down with! Will definitely look into Hanabie, thanks for the suggestion! 😉

I was wondering if i was the only one who felt so strongly about this album!
But seriously, great reaction. I could tell it really hit you in the feels as it did to me.
None of my friends or family listen to swancore, and ill never understand why.
Keep up the great videos! You're thoroughly entertaining per usual 😊

Oh yeah it hit me on multiple fronts. The songwriting was stellar on this and the vocals in particular always fascinate me. Everything about this album smacked me in the face 😂 I'm stuck on Tithe today.

Good to see you doing more Hail The Sun.
Just like Jon Mess did on Jackpot Juicer- Donovan ascended to a very noticeably higher level with his vocals on this album. A great deal of his melodies across multiple tracks on this album surprised me with how he shifted/extended the notes in an unconventional way.
Waiting to get to your reaction to Tithe.
That is my 11/10 song. 👌

Post listening, Tithe has definitely taken over my life lmaoo I have not stopped listening to it since this reaction. I'd say Tithe and The Story Writes itself are the standouts for me. The amount of places those songs go just blow my mind... They really did their thing.

This may sound crazy, but a future potential idea for a video is doing a cover for your favorite swancore song or a song in general.
It sounds like you have a great tone, and im sure you would enjoy it. You definitely have the passion in your voice.

@@ZombieKiller141998 that's rude. She gives it to you straight, says she's going to keep doing her thing & even apologizes that you don't like it.
You might want to reevaluate who the unlikeable one is (hint: it's the person that passive aggressively told someone she won't gain any viewers/fans because her personality is "not likable" because she didn't say what they wanted to hear).
