What this gospel is saying is in line with God's economy, that the more we spend our time wasting upon Christ the more we are being reconstituted with Christ. That is God is changing our diet from wasting our time on the worldly things like entertainment, sports, movies, etc, and to look to Christ as our heavenly diet that the more we spend time with the Lord in the word and praying God is doing His will and work within us and without of us.! As it says in John 6:57 "Work not for the food which perishes, but for the food which abides unto eternal life, which the Son of Man will give."
