I found Priest by accident on spotify a few months ago and can't stop listening to them, imagine how many great artists are hidden out there, just waiting to be found, I wish I had discovered Priest earlier.
Linton is already sounding a lot better than that footage from the first week. It's great to not be disappointed for once since this was a really big change.
There's a lot of playback used vs earlier gigs.. which is very understandable given the amount of notice they seemed to have for the reconfiguration.. but still a really enjoyable live experience
@@Wagoo Wait. Do you mean on the instrumental side? If so, I understand why. Those two don't really seem to know how to use the computers. Have you seen the concert where salt makes a mistake and Murcury had to fix it while singing? That was cool. I wonder who Sulphur is? My theory is it's one of the road crew.
Yeah I mainly mean on the instrument side.. as they've always had tracks for vocal harmonies etc. They didn't really have much time to set things up for this tour. I'm not sure this Sulphur is doing anything aside from triggering the tracks from the computer (not really using the DSI Pro 2).. vs earlier gigs with the e-drum setup etc. Not sure who it is.. doesn't look like Simon, I've met him before and this Sulphur looks larger. Salt (Air) is obviously doing some stuff, sometimes doubling over the backing track.. and has a great Moog solo during Obey
@@Wagoo I wonder who will be on the roster in october when touring resumes? Oh! By the way, I know it's not Simon. He's currently touring with Henrik Palm. And Your right about Salt. Mauro is doing a good job considering he's using unfamiliar tools, he's used to a keyboard after all.
Ah cheers for the info about the Henrik Palm tour. Mauro just has the MicroKORG and Sub37, no computer stuff, so it's not TOO unfamiliar for him really
This is the best Electro Music I ever listen to, it is too bad here in the US most of us listen to real garbage...but we call it music, pop, and some other S#$%^ music, if .... we can call it music...
I live this and how Linton sounds is great, sulphur on the other hand is just standing there, I understand that Priest had to change a lot in a short time but come on sulphur move a little bit.
I think they had two sulphurs on this tour. When I saw them, it was this sulphur. And actually, the lack of movement makes an ominous stage presence and actually really worked live 😂
@@proto_nightmare Ok, cool. It's kinda hard to tell from one video of one song, Sulphur did bop his head a few times but I can see how it could be imposing, he's a big guy and well, yeah
You know, now that I look back on this video I'm sure he would sound even better without the backtrack. It's not helping, if anything it's hurting his performance. He's doing a good job by himself.
c'mon people, the new singer is doin great. He's lacking of some stage presence, but that is totally normal in the first shows, he's gonna gain confidence with time. I see that the voice is great, the original Mercury had more of a "cringe" voice and this one has more severe voice and maybe some songs are too high for him. I feel him, the original one had a hell of a voice and range, so it's not really easy to sing it, but in general I hear it everything pretty fine. LONG LIVE PRIEST!!!!
Trying to watch this now, after learning more about the group and it's members, I can't help but cringe really hard. Everyone is doing a superb job doing different rolls with new people. But it feels hollow, and I can't help but feel really bad for Linton. I have no idea what went on between everyone, and honestly I feel bad for all of them, and it just makes me feel really sad. :(
Okay so does someone want to explain what happened to this band? All I know is this is where some Ghouls went in 2016 but I see people saying this band has had something happen?
From Ghost, Old Water (bass), son of Air Ghoul (synths) formed this band with two new members who weren't in Ghost. But with some involvement also from Air Ghoul.. and sometimes a cameo (eg. here ruclips.net/video/qY1jjHjXF-w/видео.html where he comes on to solo). Alpha (old lead guitarist/sometimes producer of Ghost) was the producer on their first album. The something that happened was the two other members mentioned sadly left Priest right before the tour in this video. So you have Old Water as the new frontman (Mercury) here, and Air Ghoul on synths to the left side. Unknown member on the right.
So from what i first saw and heard with linton i almost gave up on them. As to much change from mercury. felt like the energy was gone. Here though he sounds much better.
Im vocalist from Russia. Very love how singing Mercury, but whis guy have more cleaner and empty voice without expression... No, he can sing cool, but energy of Priest is lost...

excellent production, and performance. addicting music!!!

It's really amazing how far they've come in such a short time. Thanks for the upload! I've been dying to hear something recent.

Amazing! More solos like at the end of Obey please! Come to America when you can Priest!

Getting late to the party, I think his voice is great, even though his presence feels very different. Just a matter of getting used to I suppose.

So excuse my ignorance, who is the new singer?
It's hinted at in the boot up sequence. It's Linton. He also sang Nightmare Hotel on New Flesh

Я ещё никогда не была настолько согласна с чьим-то комментарием, просто на все 💯
Great new singer! I barely tell the difference.
Whats are the ig of priest?
It’s in the description m80
I miss the original singer. This dude's voice doesn't even come close. R.I.P Priest.

Ugh, sounds like bad karaoke. Why not start a different band?
Garbage The best part of this was when they left the stage
