I'm an RS3 ironman myself. Not going to overwhelm you with information but remember the Wiki is your best friend. Also don't beat yourself up if you aren't doing all the daily activities that are recommended to you. They're good but they aren't worth burning yourself out on!
You still need tools to do the skills (like the fishing net, knife, etc..), but these tools can be stored in your tool belt (which is accessible in the equipment tab). In the beginning the tool belt already contains some basic items, and over time you'll be able to add more and more cool stuff to the tool belt. Hope that helps!
Would love to see rs3 series! Obviously pvm is way harder and more complex but hope you manage to stick through the learning process, it's a lot of fun.

Osrs vet here who recently became addicted to rs3. One thing I found out is u can buy a scrimshaw of sacrifice from ge for 50% combat xp increase while sacrificing loot.
RS3 has something called the Toolbelt. This holds all your most important tools. With higher lvs you can upgrade some of them (pickaxes, hatchets, and mattocks). There’s also a slayer section to it.
Never thought in a million years I’d wanna play rs3 so badly… but god damn I want to play it BAD… you made the game look incredibly fun, if I wasn’t stuck at work right now I’d be playing. You sir sure changed my mind (:
About the loot interface, there is a setting somewhere that if you have a single item and you take it, it wont open the interface but just take it. then the loot interface only opens when multiple drops are around/stacked
I came back to RS3 a few years ago, and while I don't know a lot about RS3 ironman, I believe there's a lot of good resources on the wiki. If you want a bit of focus, I'd suggest either filling out the toolbelt, or quests. A lot of the newer quests in RS3 are incredible, but sadly there's a lot of mediocre quests from RS2 that you're probably familiar with that you need to get through first.
Oh this'll be interesting. If there was one series I'd recommend for inspiration and how to approach the game, Waydot is definitely the one. Good luck!
If you're looking for some good long term goals - I'd recommend working towards finishing: Plagues End, The World Wakes, The Temple at Senntisten, and unlocking Invention if I had to restart. Someone probably already mentioned, but I recommend learning manual mode for your action bars, you can find it in the options under gameplay. Revolution is ok for learning, but manual lets you do way more damage, because you can use your skills as you please. Also the glowing rocks when mining are rockertunities, its a guaranteed crit and fills your progress bar by a ton. I defintly recommend playing some more. As much as I like Osrs, i can't really get into it, because i have already playing since around 2005 or so, and starting fresh takes a bit.
Thanks for the info! Very very helpful, I will definitely try the manual mode because sometimes skills that I don't want to activate activate! Huge help

The game is honestly fun. I swapped over from osrs ironman to rs3 ironman in jan 2020. Just look at it as a separate game from osrs. Its hella fun.
Agreed, so much fun!
