sans the skeleton is a fictional character in the 2015 role-playing video game undertale by toby fox. he lives in snowdin town with his brother papyrus. he is introduced as a comic relief and acts as the final boss if the player chooses to kill all the monsters and go down the genocide route. he attacks using bones and gaster blasters. he is most known for his theme music megalovania. his name is based on the comic sans font, which is used for most of his in-game dialogue. the character was praised by critics for his dialogue and boss fight, which is considered to be the most difficult in the game. he made a brief cameo in deltarune, as well as appearing in super smash bros ultimate as a mii gunner costume.
jack skellington is a character and the main protagonist of the 1993 film the nightmare before christmas. jack is the "pumpkin king" of halloween town, a fantasy world based solely on the halloween holiday. jack is voiced by chris sarandon. danny elfman provided jack's singing voice in the original film and soundtrack album, with sarandon providing jack's singing voice in subsequent productions. his overall appearance is a skeleton dressed in a black pin-striped suit and a bow tie that strongly resembles a black bat. originally, his suit was meant to be completely black, but it blended with the background too well, so it was changed. at the beginning of the film, jack makes his grand entrance by emerging out of a fire-breathing dragon-themed fountain. his last name is a play on the word "skeleton". he has a ghost dog named zero for a pet, who has a small glowing nose that looks like a jack-o'-lantern. he is adored by sally, a rag doll created by dr. finklestein. the character is a popular design on bags, hats, clothing, umbrellas, belt buckles, pet collars and other items.

I know it's likely just because it seems like something Jack would say, and for the beat, but I like how for the start of Jack's rhymes have him repeat a word or two before moving on to the next line, which is similar to how Jevil sometimes talks, who was basically the Sans of Deltarune Chapter 1, and such.
But that's just Rap God from Eminem isn't it?

The video has definitely made the battle grow on me. Even the lyrics feel better when paced out with the visuals. This is a definitive step up from your previous stuff, and might even become my favorite battle in the series (that's as someone who hasn't watched the movie or played the game). Congratulations to everyone involved!

After a year of hearing this, I finally get the “Rap God” rhythm in the first line, clarified by “Rap Gourd.” Love this so much
This was soo good!
However to me sans was a clear winner. Sans both dissed the character and their medium equally, especially the last line. While Jack only mentioned the fandom once. Which was sooo missed. Overall the best you have ever done but sans one.

I came in here rooting for jack bc im not an undertale fan, jack slayed his first verse with the lyrical and musical references to the movie but sans won with "youre a reckless ruler that your town is 'tim burton'd' with" and "you'll end up like your employees" but jack got some good lines in too like the references to papyrus dying. good battle all around and it was close! the personalities of both of them came through well. good job to the channel all around. this is also coming from a professional singer and writer. these lyrics are perfect.
1:55 (on 1.5 speed) - the spanking of the third degree begins
First of all the visuals really killed it from the NmBC style Snowdin to the File 12 during San's rounds. At first Jack came in with the Em references and had 3 BACK TO BACK Don Demarcos (attack your bro, Frisky, and sleeper hits), but then the big boi Sans basically unleashed Gaster Blaster powers in rap form because he was using Jack as a ragdoll and bashing him against the walls in that 1st, jack-in-the-box office, cultural appropration, and even the Tim Burdened line was a punch to the heart. Then Jack's 2nd tried to come back with 2 more DeMarcos with another brother shot and carved you. (But I will retrospect him and say you could've used the "bad time" obligatory quote SO MUCH better Jack, but you used the most obvious flip of it) Then at the 2nd of Sans, the nobody came bar signed Jack's coffin, the ketchup pun sealed the coffin, and the de-termination DELIVERED his coffin to outer space. I have to go with Sans and not just for the memes. It's because he won, ok?
Edit: I didn't even realize Megalovania playing in the background during that one rhyme scheme in Sans' 1st

Once again, person I was rooting for didn't win lol. It was still close though! Sans, you put up a good effort, and tightened the gap with those last few lines in my opinion, but you still got rattled by the Pumpkin King. It was a good hustle though, man. And congrats to Jack!

Honestly, I feel like Jack won this rap battle. His bars and disses hit a lot harder than Sans’s. And his flow is amazing. But I feel like Sans is going to win the voting poll because a lot of people are biased towards Sans.
Personally i think Sans won this because he had a lot good punches (for examples his employees being filled with "de-termination") and his rhyme scheme with -ock was really catchy.
And i don't the poll will be too biased considering jack himself is also really popular
